Guys, please help me out this problem. Today, i had received my miner from Bitmain, so i booted up:
- Two fans are spinning and working.
- The controller and ethernet port are working.
- Three hashboards are all working, all three had showed no signs of xxx or anything related to defective. (Tested each board before plugged in all three).
- The power supply (Bitmain's APW3++) is working as well as all pins
- I am using a power cable 10A - 250v.
Results: If i plug the PSU more than 2 hashboards, the miner will begin to reset every 5 secs, then loop.
So what is the problem here? Is it because my outlet doesn't have enough power to run it? You know something about circuit breakers and sh*t.
I think it's a problem that your PSU can't deliver the power. Needs to be replaced or you can try to install my firmware, set the voltage to lowest and frequency to 400 mhz and see if that keeps running (as it draws way less power, comparable to 2 hashingboards on the original one)
But i have tested with two PSUs (the APW3++ 1600W ones), the results are the same, if i plug three pins in one hashboard, the miner is working as intended, as soon as i plug three more pins on the second board, the miner started to reset in loop.
Just run it with 3 power pins then... 3 in all of them if that works? Make sure to reduce voltage / frequency as you don't want to burn the power cables
Do you how many amps does a D3 have? I wonder the circuit breaker of the room i was trying to run did not have enough amps or voltages or watts. I am thinking of calling an electrician.
@stock ~1250 watts
so if you;re on 230v thats ~5 AMPS, on 110v ~11 AMPS
How high is the hashrate on the D3 you get, the last on i get was 19.3 GH, and on the paper from Bitmain stay something that one Hashboard will need 560 Watt.
I have never test it, because i get more then 10000 HW-Errors in the 1st minute, so i take down the Frequency to 506 and then it was 1100-1150 W.
When you not have make the update to the new firmware until now, try to get the frequency down to maybe 350, then you must be under 1000W.
the Bitmain PSU only give 1600W on 220V, with 110 it´s somewhere 1000-1100 W i think.
You can try to plug the 1st.PSU on the Controller + 1 Hashboard and the other PSU on the next Hashboard, but never plug 2 different PSU on one Hashboard.
