Hello,
Is in this new board version PCI-E connector? Or power supply wire must be cutted?
Thank you
Any S1 from the last ~2months comes with plugs to just plug pci-e cables in.

I'd like to consolidate some information on the temperature you guys are seeing.

I'm getting 49 and 51 Celsius overclocked at 400mhz to 200ghs.
Also I replaced the stock fan for dual fans in the front and back @ 69cfm 2000rpm. It runs quiter now, but the temps are a bit higher than with the stock fan plus one of these fans in the front.

Also, what is the maximum cut off temperature?

It is in the cgminer settings temp target is 60c cut off is 70c.

i don't think anyone has hit thermal cutoff to my recollection of following the threads. i think the antminer cgminer driver cuts off at 95. Seems that 125 is the max for the asic.

Mine all run in the mid 40s.

Also, what is the maximum cut off temperature?

49°C at 23°C room temp, fan at 1980 rpm (my living room)
38°C at 12°C room temp, fan at 1620 rpm (my mining room)

No overclock (350 MHz)

How is the noise of miner ?
Is very loud?
Is an AntMiner S1 louder than a BFL Single?
I have both (standing next to each other), the S1 is much more quiet, you can compare it with a Cube.

It depends on your room temperature, it's very variable on the S1

Haven't received any confirmation emails yet, 20 hrs later.

This is normal right?

I haven't gotten an email about shipping but MyUPS shows it was shipped a couple days ago.

Any option for a good aftermarket 120mm case fan for s1

I don't know if you're interested in modifying the Antminer S1 to add 4 "quiet" fans which will cool the Ant down and slow down the stock fan in the process.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/youtube-video-how-to-improve-cooling-on-antminer-s1-445765

Also in my signature.

The YouTube video has the links to the parts/fans available on ebay.

Well... The one I got yesterday looked completely new - not a speck of dust on it. The second blade wasn't completely plugged in. 100% perfect order - but check the cables before powering it up :-)

Also had the quirk with 1 of the ants I got today. Symptom was when powered on, no lights, fan at full speed. One blade was not connected.

The AntMiner has a variable-speed (PWM) fan. It is rather quiet if your room is around +20..+23'C, but does get very loud if the ambient temperature rises to around and above +25'C. It does produce heat (equivalent to a 360 watt heater?), so if you don't have any cooling available and you're planning to put it in anything less than a hall, I would seriously reconsider it if you are bothered by fan sound. You might want to look into more/additional silent fans (a 2nd fan) to keep the S1 cool and the primary fan speeds down.

Ok the ants are much much quieter than an Avalon. That sounds being outside a football stadium after the game.

the really are something else in terms of sound, that video scares me really..... My girl would kill me if i chucked that in my mining room  Grin
