just got my 8 miners from bitmain... super quick shipping as advertised... i did notice you can set up 3 pools on each miner would that reduce the hashing power per pool if you had 3 configured on each miner or would it be the same 1.44 TH/s for all 3 pools?
While originally the S1 pool entry is for 'fail-over' only, there is a way to make it support 'load balancing' where you divide your hash power between the pools (see https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/setup-load-balance-on-the-antminer-s1-advanced-antminer-s1-setup-578276)

Cheers

They are fail safe pools. If the pool at the top position fails they will switch to the second pool you have configured. If that pool fails they will switch to the third pool you have configured. If the first pool came back up it monitors the pools and would switch back to the first one. You only mine at one pool from the top down unless it fails.

Hope this helps.

a random question, anybody knows where one could buy those white 6 pins pci-e receptacle attached to the PCB?

If you mean the 6-pin PCIe header (Molex part #45558-0003) then Arrow has the best price I could find in the U.S.  I just bought 50 pieces at $0.4514/each + shipping.
http://components.arrow.com/part/detail/44166981S8005809N3303
thats a good way to blow your psu/start a fire dont just try and hook a molex adapter to 6 pin and call it good to go...if your hooking it to a low voltage rail you are going to kill yourself...
What are you talking about??  The header referenced is not an "adapter".  It is the Molex PCIe Mini-Fit Jr header that is used on the S1 and on nearly every PCIe GPU made for connecting a 6-pin PCIe PSU power connector.  Molex is just the "brand" name.  Not sure what hobbymd wants to use it for but I bought them to replace burned out PCIe headers on some of my S1's and GPU's.

http://www.molex.com/molex/products/datasheet.jsp?part=active/0455580003_PCB_HEADERS.xml

thanks for the reply. I accidentally chipped off a bit of that 6 pin receptacle on one of my ants and also had a faulty psu which damaged the 6 pin pcie receptacle  wanted to replace them with the right part  Wink

so it seems these http://components.arrow.com/part/detail/44166981S8005809N3303 are the right one for s1 if you want to replace them .

offical undercloking/volting from Bitmain
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.7031946

Great, i just got my magnifying glass (X2-X5)lamp (thanks to phillipma to point it-great lamp), soldering kit, multimeter, infrared temperature reader (mostly for S2). All ready to go-will hopefully have fun during the weekend. This is more permanent than pencil mod, so has to be done carefully.

let us know what you get.

    boy a simple resistor switch
 say 3.1kohm 3.9k ohm 4.47kohm

or a pot 3k ohm to 5khm  would make these units close to  perfect

this style

Put POTs.

pots? i am not a gamer...

A POT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potentiometer) is a fancy name for an adjustable resistor.  If you've seen the threads about pencil modding the S1 to get it to run more efficiently this is basically the same idea though I imagine they are going to try and over clock instead.
