Does anyone have an idea what can lead to this hashrate?

All chips seem to be fine. It is powered by a 1600W PSU (all 4 PCIe Cables connected), but it is only ~half of the promised hashrate.
Latest firmware is also installed...
Kind regards

Hi guys, Are they a guaranteed on AntMiner S3 ?  Lips sealed

Bitmaintech kind of offers  support if you have problems with your s-3  and you have not over clocked it.    The support is hit or miss but it does exist.  I think your warranty is 90 days.

If you buy direct you save money.

If you really want rights buy from a reseller that takes  credit cards or paypal.  What country are you from?

I can pm you some resellers that take cc's or paypal.

In the usa

Lazy Lurker Reads Alot
Pff so far i got one which already shows an X regular at certain moments and performs at only 416 Gh on average.
Non of them can be run at higher speed because all run slower when you do clock them a tad bit up.
This only results in more heat and less hashing power.
However why would anyone ever want to reboot the ants, they run allways if you have not changed anything to the settings.
All the ants i ever owned are set and forget the only reason why a ant would fail is if it looses power or the hardware gets/is damaged.
The receiving of the miners does not go smooth this time, all s1 came kinda quick but now almost each and every delivery has been extreme slow or had an exception very weird.
No 2 day delivery more like 2 weeks now or even worse.

anyone used DHL for shipping method ? are they good ?

anyone Huh

I Prefer DHL and live in New Zealand. They have always been efficient and provide good service. My biggest issue is customs seems to be delaying shipments for me. I now need an importers code, which fortunately was easy to get.

it has nothing to do with antminers, just bad luck on eligius

Thanks. Thought so too, but I noticed none of my other miners experienced this bad luck.
But I guess it must be that then.

For those of us that are wanting to reuse CX-750M's - You can run easily run 3 _blades_ per CX-750m.

Batch 3 running for 24 hours stable with 4 S3's on three cx-750m.  Reading 190watts per blade at the PDU.

Measured at the pool, ambient is 85* F.

428 @ 42C
441 @ 42C
440 @ 42C
453 @ 43C (oc'd to 225)

Bitmain says "Don’t parallel connected different DC input from different PSU into the same Hashing board."

Do you read that to mean only use one PSU per blade or one PSU per miner?

One PSU per blade.

Parallel input = 2 psus on one blade = dead miner.

My setup is three miners on two of the psu, where the oc'd one has the 3rd psu to itself.

2 days in.  ants are @ 430.
oc does either nothing or makes it worse
very glad they issued refunds and coupons.  bitmain has made more than enough money off of us.

try the goxed oc guide but as it seems less than one in 10 can handle any oc due to faulty dc-dc

hi there, there was a list of really clear instructions put up for the s2 miner to overclock, wondering if someone can help

I'd really like to try and overclock my S3 to 250 and see if i can get 500gh out of it - is there a set of instructions or someone can print out something like this?

Please help Smiley

"Step 1 Using Putty  or another program SSH into your Miner
Step 2 Click "YES" on the "Security Alert" that pops up
Step 3 Login with User: root Password: admin
Step 4 Type "cd /config"
Step 5 Type "vi asic-freq.config
Step 6 Hit the "I" key to edit the file
Step 7 Scroll the the bottom and copy this code and click in the SSH window to paste it (I suggest you start with the 212M Settings run it for a few hours make sure your miner is stable then work your way up)
    option 'freq_value'    '5082'  #212M
    option 'chip_freq'     '212.5'
    option 'timeout'       '36'

    #option 'freq_value'    '6206'  #216M
    #option 'chip_freq'     '215.625'
    #option 'timeout'       '37'

    #option 'freq_value'     '5102'  #219M
    #option 'chip_freq'      '218.75'
    #option 'timeout'        '38'

Step 8 be sure to add "#" in front of everything listed on the 196M line
Step 9 Hit "esc" then type ":wq"
Step 10 (IMPORTANT) type "cp asic-freq.config /etc/asic-freq.config"
IF YOU SKIP THIS STEP ALL SETTINGS WILL BE LOST WHEN YOU POWER CYCLE THE MINER
Step 11 Now Login to the web interface of your miner and go to the miner config tab and click "save and apply" this will restart cgminer with the new settings

Based on my testing here is how my miner performed at each speed

212mhz     1083GH     (+56 Watts)(+80GH Speed)(HW Error 0.22%)
216mhz     1098GH     (+71 Watts)(+95GH Speed)(HW Error 0.39%)
219mhz     1114GH     (+90 Watts)(+111GH Speed)(HW Error 0.88%)

Keep in mind your results might vary. Enjoy and happy mining  Smiley"

gotta let a coin be a coin
212.5 seems like the most stable freq for my set. He is negligible, temps are low as well 38C< on both.

how much gh you get on 212.5?
I couldn't make it go above 424, while some people report in mid 430ies.
428 now - we'll see tomorrow if that holds.

easy 1 psu per blade.  = good

2 psu on the same blade = poof magic smoke.

 Here is why:

a blade does  allow pcie power to pass .

Pcie plug-----Blade----PCie plug

so 2 pcie plugs on one blade fully mix.

they must be from the same psu

THE controller  does not allow full current of 12 volts 30 amps to pass from blade to blade

BLADE-------Controller -------BLADE

So 2 psus are kept apart from each other by the controller.
