Is everyone in agreement that the EVGA 1300 will safely power two S3's overclocked?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438011&cm_re=evga_1300-_-17-438-011-_-Product

It should.  At 80% load (20% headroom), the SuperNOVA 1300 G2 could theoretically support two OC'd S3s up to 520WDC each (1300WDC*80%/2)which equates to 578WAC at the wall at 90% efficiency.  I think two CX750M is a better deal (also currently with a rebate) at the Egg.  It offers additional headroom (14.5% more) and the flexibility of having an independent PSU for each OC'd S3.

IT would help if bitmain did not write BITCOIN MINER as custom description....

What should its description be then? Erm its just some circuits and stuff
Computational Processing Unit or Assembly. No need to say what kind of computations or processing.

Im searching Antminer S3 to some on sell Turkey ?

Turkish customs has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to miners. There is no way it will make its way through there, trust me I know. You can try bribing them.

Alternatively, I'll be going to Turkey on December, I can bring one with me and sell it to you if you want. I did that before.

Really ? im buy antminer s1 without problem.

I've placed an order for 2 S3's from batch 2.  Hopefully, they will start despatching batch 1 soon (10th July) and quickly followed by the batch 2's. I like mining, I'm still running two S1's, which I will most probably keep running or maybe sell them on ebay.

Specs claim 366W at the wall which translates to no more than 330W of 12V power per device.

As most decent 1000W supplies are able to continously provide atleast 990W of 12V power, you should be fine with 3 at standard settings.

And you should de-rate a supply's available current by 80% if running it continuously.  I don't think advising people to run a PSU at 99% is a very good practice.

0% fee pools (other then ghash) are all over the place... Check out my sig link if your in the US.

Thanks for the link. Your node looks very interesting. I'm getting 75 MS pings from our data center on the west coast, which is OK.

But unless I missed a post, it looks like the S3 doesn't support p2pool yet. They've said they're looking into it and it's a couple of weeks out.

Here's hoping that they deliver and get p2pool working.

So..what PSU are you guys planning to use on S3 units? Is there any PSU that could power 2 of them with enough watts and cable slots (because 1 requires 4 PCIe cables if OCed of course), so 8 in total for 2 units.
EVGA G2 1300W PSU.  8 PCI-e connectors and plenty of power to drive 2 of them overclocked, or 3 running stock speeds.
You should be fine with any decent 1000W PSU, as it will most likely be able to even handle 3 units on stock settings.

3 units on stock voltage will pull under 980W on the 12V rail(s). Most 1000W PSUs should therefore be able to handle 3 units.
Specs for the S3 claim 366W per unit at 478GH/s... I think you'd be stretching that 1000W PSU running 3 on it.  2 wouldn't be a problem, even overclocked to 504GH/s (which if I remember correctly pulls 390W).

EDIT - it's 366W at the wall, so you might squeeze 3 stock from the 1000W PSU... still, a pretty tight fit for that PSU.

I agree but I think with the telephone number that is in the ebay advert it appears to point towards Hashalot in Canada?

I will email Bitmaintech and see if they will sell to me directly

They do sell to you directly.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?

Of course Bitmain will sell directly to you... just go to their website.  You will not, however, be able to pay in Pounds Sterling, or dollars, or anything but BTC if you buy direct.  The folks on eBay are charging you a premium for the ability to pay in cash and to purchase a single unit, rather than the MOQ of 2 by Bitmain.

There is no fraud in reselling it on ebay.

Many new and used units will be sold to newbies at a markup.

With PayPal "protection", I highly doubt that anyone would risk his reputable ebay account to try and defraud some small number of people.

thank you for your reply.

I notice that this seller on ebay appears to be selling many units daily of mainly Antminer S1s and S2S. However despite the Antminer S3 having shown sold more than a dozen units they do not appear to be shown in the sale history but I assumed this would be due to the rigs not being shipped out yet therefore the buyers would not have been able to at least so far leave any feedback saying it would have gone through successfully and they are happy with their purchases.

With the amount of sales and positive feedback it leaves me to believe this would be the only avenue Bitmaintech would be able to sell them individually for cash as I have no bitcoins and do not want to buy 2 units at least not yet.

Bitmaintech heeelp is this you on ebay? If not help me deter these fraudsters from defrauding your potential customers. If so reply and sign my S3 too :-)
