anyone know how to change the http port from 80 on the S5? i want to port forward to it and i need my second one on a different port.

good question. the s3 has many more options then the s5 does..

are all your s5s connected to one network? you can always setup a vpn and connect to that through the firewall.. then you would have complete access to all the miners.

Looks like it runs lighttpd i can edit the lighttpd.conf file. if i mess this up will hitting the reset button on the miner do anything?

I need to talk to someone who has fans, TCF1212DE (DELTA). someone there? Undecided

I can't find that model with Google (typo maybe).  I have Delta fans on my S5's.  I just hooked them onto the fans ports on the controller.  What's going on for you

these are the fan, but now I know for sure that the controller S5 can not handle

What was temp difference going from normal fan to that?

In Moscow it is now 20°. Indoor 35°.
Antminer 44°-47°
fan 240RPM

He should be ok with manual it says "Operating ambient temp 0-35 C"   So it's right at the top.

I would wonder if it's in a garage or work area possibly to have that as ambient. I'm thinking the indoor is not like a house indoors with AC.  I did a overhaul for summer mining with fans.   And I have had no problems with any of the miners including S5 so far.  It's reached 85 or so max.   I do have some high CFM fans helping miners.

I am running at stock speeds.   And I am very happy with mining during summer so far.

having stability issue. everytime i use infernopool my hashrate fluctuates 50%. sometimes it will drop to 0.00 and then start crawling back up. it does this at random. im on the nicehash firmware, but the stock bitmain firmware did this too. ive tried all diff ports. 256 upto 4096. 256 seems more recovers faster than the other ports. when i mine on f2pool my hashrate is rock solid stable. im guessing because inferno is profit switching pool and f2pool is strictly bitcoin. so its not switching at all. any ideas? guess i should stop staring at it and obsessing over it....lol

at .08c a kwh you will be making money for awhile, but 2000 kwh is not a lot.. the average household uses about 1000 kwh or so with just common every day stuff.

if you run a s5 24/7 you are using 432 KWH a month. or about 35$ at .08c
if you make sure to turn off all your lights and your water heater and range is gas you can maybe afford to run 2 s5s.

how much does your power go up if you go over?

Thanks very much for replying.

Figures -
0-2000 kWh = $0.0796 / kWh
2000-4000 kWh = $0.093 / kWh

Only problem is I live in a very hot country, although I would normally have A/C on anyways at home...I have a separate bill for Water/Gas...Electricity consumption in general would be low to be honest.
Also, would it be worth waiting until July for the S7?

Hi Guys, please let me know if I've got the wrong idea...

The electricity tariff for my location works out at $0.08 / kWh providing my monthly usage does not exceed 2000 kWh

By my calculations, using an S5, I would be making on average $2-$3 per day, with less than half of that as electricity costs.

It sounds like a no-brainer to me....

I also realise I will need to purchase a Power Supply.

That's a good question.  Also are there other things running there and sharing this 2000 KWH?  If so might be worth getting a kill-a-watt yo can see usages and then decide what number is good for you on purchasing.

But .08 cents with the S5's efficiency is a good combination
