Here are the current stats for my wolfpack
These are running in a datacenter.
Temps seem a bit cool.
218 will be here tomorrow.
These are all batch ones.

Nice pack of miners. Why are they named S5:#.###? They are S7's not S5's. xD *Not OCD at all*
The app only goes to s5 with auto naming. You can stick the s7 in there but I never paid attention to it until you pointed it out. Smiley

Nice list Wolfen.

Thanks also for recommending M Miner Monitor - I have been using since our last PM and I think I will be lost without it.

All my 7 x S7s and 1 x S5 are monitored using this gem of an app, and used with TeamViewer on my Android phone.

When I am travelling, I can also get wifey to keep an eye on the M Miner Monitor - sweet!

Now .... when is the block coming?

I switched to Kano pool, looks good, I like that stats update really fast, and you have lots of them.  UNFORTUNATELY, I had to change settings in the antminer batch 8, big mistake, as it took many "soft reboots" and 2 actual "reboots" to get it at 4720ghs, with good hw.  I also see lots of X's for the chips, but thats just a bad reading or something because the hashrate is good and it goes away after 5 minutes.

Note to self:  dont ever change anything in the settings ever again.  ever.

The earlier batches probably have more, undervolted chips. While the later batches have less, overvolted chips. So i'm guessing the earlier batches with the most chips would be able to get the most out of overvolting.

Assuming nothing else fry when you try it.

There is probably not much in it, except of course for the greater number of chips favouring the 162 chip systems.
The 162 chip miner with 12v across the 18 Chip string gives a core voltage of 0.667V
The 162 chip miner with 12.2v across the 18 Chip string gives a core voltage of 0.678V
The 135 chip miner with 10.12v (measured by J4bberwock) across the 15 Chip string gives a core voltage of 0.675V

A bigger factor may be if they have been selecting BM1385 chips, which of course we will never know?

Yes definitely Luck.  My Batch 8 using the same 220V IBM 2KW won't change in hash rate by moving to 775 or 800M.  Have to increase the voltage to see some gain like what Phillip did.

There is no point in changing the voltage on a Batch 6, 8 or 9. They have a Buck Converter built onto the Hash board that controls the voltage sent to the chips. Good news is that at some point I am sure a mod will be available that will enable the Core Voltage to be adjusted.

I won't have access to the S7 for the next 8-9 days, but I'll definitely change the 6k8 resistor as soon as I'm back.
800MHz, 5,3Th is still too low. I'm sure we can do 900.
And I'll probably try to get an earlier batch with 162 chips later to see how it can be overclocked.

The batch 2 I have goes to 631 freq and it is rated 575 freq

I am using your 2880 watter with  12.2 volts  lots of overhead as I am running 1 miner on it.

but even if I do 12.5 volts  I top out at freq 631.

So batch 2 has some type of restriction

I find the Avalon Reps selling Avalons very responsive and always willing to help both at Oregonminer and Zoomhash but that's a different topic.  Just a bit frustrating when you're trying to order more batch 8 S7s, their site was down for a few days, then it comes back online, after each Batch 7 box was $150 more expensive due to BTC increase.  Now the challenge with Batch 9 is if you're wanting to pay via Wire, you're paying $100 more per S7 vs BTC because they can't update their website properly even though support said it's fixed.  But as you say, due to the Monopoly, there's less concern about Customer service. I hope there will be more competition in the market so that all the vendors step up.  The only positive thing I have to give to Bitmain is that their shipping is super fast!

I should have said service & gear Grin

I don't think the S7 will keep anything cool with it's exhaust.  =)  The 2 box in my garage is raising the ambient TEMP of my garage by 14 degrees.  I do have 2 Ultra KAZE fans on the 2 x 2KW IBM PSU that do push a lot of air and the PSU runs very cool and those fans is powerful enough to push thru the PSU and keep 1 side of the S7 quite cool.   As Prelude said, would like to see the numbers after it's been running a couple of hrs as I'm definitely interested in seeing it as I have the exact same setup.

Cool is relative, of course - but the 45C exhaust air is fine for the PSU at the cfm the S7 so screamingly provides, especially at 60% (1200W) load. I typically run the bladecenter e psus in 2 packs like you describe, usually with 2x120mm 240v fans of whatever sort I can get cheaply locally...

Did four orders for s-7's today.

It would have been nice to get a coupon or compensation for my poorly made   batch 1.

So far  I have no compensation for my batch one or batch two machines.

But they have the best gear.

total 12.416 btc.

I figure they owe me just about .4 or. 5 btc from batches one and two.

And they figure they owe you and everyone else shit all. What a fucking horrible shitty company they are. If any normal business acted like bitmain does, they'd be bankrupt with the quickness. Luckily for bitmain, they have a (hopefully temporary) monopoly for the home miner's market, and they make money printing machines so they don't actually need customers. We're just there to reduce the risk they take in developing hardware. All they're good at is making decent hardware and shipping. Everything else is a complete shit show.

Well they have
1) the best gear for sale -   watts per gh
2) they ship pretty fast
3) they sell at a better price then anyone else
4)the gear works pretty well

All of the above is true.

5) if there is any kind of a problem they are pretty much fuck you.

Now I am not the biggest buyer they have had but I purchased 15k in s-7's and 2 k in s-5's
and 5k is s-3's
and 5k in s-1's
and 5k in u1's
and 2k in u2's

I wrote fix it threads and reviews for much of the gear.  And I have fixed a shit ton of their miner issues on support posts pm's etc.

when you have 2 pieces of mining gear in the entire world to choose from

S-7
Avalon 6

it is hard to get service or gear.

Batch 8 / DPS-2000BB efficiency measurements teaser shot:

Waiting on a 500A shunt to finish the DC draw measurements but I hope to get the WallJ/TH numbers up soon.

I will say this particular Batch 8 hits 5TH/s with no drama. And... it keeps the DPS-2000BB cool w/ exhaust at the same time  Cheesy

Nice! Looking forward to your results. How are you getting 5TH? Mine won't overclock for shit, in fact they can't even reach advertised speed. Have you found a way to increase voltage delivered to the chips on B8?

So far all I've done is increase the clockspeed through the web interface! I haven't looked at chip/chain level voltage at all, even to measure it. Luck?

Very lucky. Smiley

Mind posting a screenshot of it after running for a few hours at ~5TH/s?

If you look at 700 it's already pushing freq compared to where older S7's were on lower freq as shown below:
