My Internet went down before i woke up this AM.

My S5s came back online when the internet came back up...but my S7 (batch 1) didn't. I can still see it when i check it thru my LAN. All the ASICs are there and have all 0's but there is no hashing. The fans are running too.

I rebooted. No change. I switched PSUs - still no change. I did a few reboots- no change. Then i reset it to factory settings- still no change. Finally, i called Bitmain in Denver. The tech guy used chrome remote desktop to look at my kernel log , miner status etc. Then he shh'd into my rig. He couldn't find a problem either.

So I will be contacting Bitmain to see what can be done.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I have this issue, go into Network>Diagnostic and then ping something. Go back after a minute and check if it is hashing.

Difficult to believe that we have yet another variant of the S7. Not sure that I can make much more sense of this one the the previous batches.
Back to the tight spec on the PSU and they have upped the default frequency. I can only think that they have done a rev on the BM1385 or are selecting?

I also can't make the numbers add up.

4860GH/s / 600MHz = 8.1 * 650MHz = 5265GH/s not 5060GH/s

Rich

Number 10 on the list of Specifications

Default Frequency = 625 Mhz

Duh silly me, once you have read something wrong you just see it that way again......

I wonder if they meant Default Frequency 625MHz which would give 5.063TH/s and pulls the J/GH back to 0.251?

Either way, they've priced this one out of my reach...since I way overpaid on batch 3.  By the time I have the funds, this batch will definitely be sold out...I give it a day or two before selling out.

I believe I will have to do as you advise with the bank account.  Could you give me an example of you may have went through to no longer give them free reign of your bank account?

Thanks for your input.

First I had my PayPal account hacked and it was used to buy a $500 camera on EBay. I noticed it in time to stop it but the hacker wrote me and said PayPay was very easy to hack and even offered to show me how. Anyways that was enough to persuade me but if you look at PayPals rules you allow PayPal to make the dession on refunds and remove the money from your bank account. I have always treated my buyers fair but I don't trust PayPal or EBay to have my best interest at heart. When I opened my PayPal account years ago I had a online bank account first attached even though that Bank is no longer around but still show as my online bank account. So there is nothing for PayPal to get.

To be on topic here I know Bitmain asked us to be patient on the batch 1 compusation but I think it's time to get this taken care of.

Yeah 1BTC per TH.

Problem is, with these crazy diff increases upcoming due to the large amount of orders when S7s hit around 3.5/4BTC for 4.6TH those sitting on BTC ready to re-invest it in mining bought a crap-ton of miners.

We haven't seen the worst of the difficulty ramp yet I'm afraid Sad

Yeah if the BTC price doesn't rally, then 2016 could be a bad year for miners just like 2014.

Its simply crazy how volatile the ROI can be in just a few days of a difficulty increase.

what you going to do in 250 days or so when the block halves?

Hope that BTC goes to $1000 by then.
