power wise i agree, its not advised, but sometimes there are good reasons to do so.
Is there a way to get 14TH out of it?

I mean sure if you have really cheap power but you would need sub 4 cent power as efficiency goes out of whack on them.

if I can allow myself,

Original T9 + = 10.5Ths ==> 1450W at wall 220v
         My T9 + = 12.5Ths ==> 1400W at wall 220V

Its worth it 2Th free! ?

Regards: p

But I agree 100% not to mount Bmminer S9 that VERY strongly risk giving the error "PIC Error" and brick one or more hash board ...

I have seen many people get unstable hashboards ocing t9

T9+ is annoying to overclock and honestly not worth it. Don't do it also this one won't work.

Can i copy the Bmminer also on a T9+, or does it not work like that?

If not, how can i overclock the T9+?

ok, tested this bmminer on 20 my s9 asics 13.5T and 14.0T,  so 15 works w/o any issues with bmminer880: overclocked up to 15T, 5 rest asics show 98-105C with bmminer880, replaced it with bmminer890 = 3 started to work good, rest 2 asics still work incorrectly with all bmminer versions (show chip temp over 100C even with stock 630 freq)

Taserz,
How to disable fan check?
I want to test watercooling and more overclock settings, but how to kick off collers from boards without error "Fan lost".
Thx.

Hey guys,
I have got 2 quite good binned miners. With the original fixed FW I am getting better results than with bmminer890. How can I check what voltage the original bmminer uses?

How lucky have you guys been with undervoltage?
How low can you get, how efficient can you be while keeping the default frequency?

i tried up to 400Mhz... Stayed 103 watts per terahsh. (on a 13.5T machine, running 880 software)

It was my idea as well, underclocking, and freeing up power, so be able to put more machines....

darn.. My power line is full, can't add any more...  Angry

This is a good question. Has anyone else looked into this, and are you wasting your time OCing these units?

It's only profitable if you already have cheap power to begin with.

Hi Taserz, where can i see the voltage is running is kernel log, just in your firmware?
Im looking in original kernel log of a machine and i cant see no information about voltage !

the 880
the others draw too much power for the stock psu.

intriguing...

Curious also, and as i had just laying around some miners and a watt meter, i have performed a little test:

500Mhz     10.8TH    4.9Amps   1120W  w/th:103
550Mhz     11.8TH    5.35Amps  1220W  w/th:103
600Mhz      12.8Th    5,8Amps   1330W   w/th:103
650Mhz      13.7Th    6,25Amps   1445W  w/th:105
700Mhz      14.4Th    6,8Amps    1570W   w/th:109
793Mhz      15Th        7,7Amps   1750W   w/th:116

overclocking is NOT profitable... (on this miner...)

i also have one running 793Mhz squirting 16.2TH. Assume numbers are equal, it would do 108W/TH

best: add miners...

Using which bmminer from this thread.

S9 13.5Th + P3 Power PSU 2100w -> Fix 650M frimware -> bmminer880

0.08 $/kWh
750m - 15.7th - 1670w profit - $0.38
700m - 14.9th - 1540w profit - $0.44
650m - 13.9th - 1430w profit - $0.44

Overclocking is not profitable?

Hi, does this send a fee to the dev or is it dev fee free? Does the dev take donations?

I have the 13.5 TH/s S9 with auto frequency. I've set the frequency to 800 MHz and using the 8.8v file, most of the time I see 16.6 TH/s, but sometimes I see a random value, is this nothing to worry about?

A few F5 refreshes clears the problem

I have another PSU on an E3 (860W), can I take the remaining 3 PCIe cable and connect it to one of the S9s hashboards and possibly use a total of 2340 watts on the S9 assuming the PCIe cables can handle 266W (22A).

What would be the max TH/s I'll be able to get?

I do have some 1800W PSUs onsite so I could try that on the S9 at the weekend.
