neoscrypt is more profitable than cryptonight now, which neoscrypt miner is best for vega?

I'll just leave this here...

Hey got some working drivers! Compute toggle finally working for Vega on Cnote?
Too bad there's no real performance gain?
No real need in pulling rigs down to update just yet. Although, it would be nice to switch between Cnote and Neoscrypt at will...

Working, yes. But still WIP.
Compute Toggle is only needed for Polaris. All compute instructions have always been available for vegas.

This driver has no gains, in fact for me is showing a decrease of 50 H/s per card, but no longer requires to disable / enable devices. Oh, and it is by far more stable, even in gaming.

Solid work. Will look forward to seeing them in the future. Assume this is through Vanguard. Glad to see more people participate in that program. Thanks for dropping a hint.

Vega was my dream, but with releasing cryptonight algo asic i began to doubt.
Vega can mine some other algo perfectly how mine cryptonight ?

i got 2 sapphire vega 56 nitro+ limited    . with hynix     .  i didnt change bios  . i just tweeked with wattman  at 900 mhz memory  .  core  -30 % power limit -22

i get a fair 1838      no errors   no hasrate problems .   i sure could get it to 2000

Don't be so sure. Mine can't pass higher memory clock than 960. So 2000 is unreachable for me. High 19-hundreds, but no 2k.

You can but you'll be using twice as much power.

I'll try my luck in this thread...

Basically I've got six Vega56@64. Five are hashing at 1960, one does a lame 1810.

Note that they're all the same Sapphire ref design, all flashed and clocked exactly the same. No monitor plugged.

I'm basically out of ideas...

Edit: that's mining ETN on the aug blockchain driver with CastXMR.

1960 card = samsung memory
1810 card = hynix

Maybe it's wise to halt all Vega purchases. ASICs are entering the space of the cryptonight algo:

After Baikal's announcement, here is Bitmain's new Antminer X3:

Hashing algorithm: CryptoNight
Power consumption: 550W
Hashrate: 220KH/s

 Shocked

Guys , im getting my Nitro+ 64 today.
Can anyone share please what hash shall i expect in cryptonight and ether ?

Also will very appreciate if you share what voltage and core mem speed shall i use to get the best of it.

Thank you in advance

Hi everyone,
I just got so weird experience in my newly bought 2 pcs Asus rog strix vega 64, it just don't work with my riser card. But when I plug it directly in to the board, It works like a charm. Please help me to resolve this  because I need to installed all 6 cards and the asus rog strix is blocking some of my motherboards pcie ports. thanks a lot

try different riser(u wouldnt be the first one with a buggy riser)
Enough power from psu?(riser need also Watt/power)
First install vega64 then the other cards.

I just tried black, blue and yellow riser but no luck. Then tried to use the card on my gaming rig, it works when plug directly to the motherboards. Same result when I tried to use a riser. Display driver can not installed, pc hangs.

I thought all the old ref design Vegas had Samsung memory?
There's probably no way to know now since I flashed the 64 bios onto all of them. GPU-Z reads "Samsung" for all six...

I have a launch Vega 64 unflashed and its Samsung.   I will have to try harder because I dont find I can hash that high, stably at least

Try overcooling the lower hash one to rule out the possibility of an airflow deadspot or similar problem.   Simplest thing to try next, also generally trying the lower hash card by itself in another machine would rule out alot of things and confirm its fully capable normally

Another thought... Would it be possible that the mere presence of Teamviewer  in the background could slow down one of the GPUs? Even when not remoting into the rig?
I've got no dummy plug on that rig, and no monitor connected. I can access it via Teamviewer if I want to but also get API level stats without logging in... I'm going to have to try closing teamviewer completely and check the stats to see if that solves the issue... if I ever mine Cryptonight again Tongue

baikal just annouced a 20kh/s 60w Baikal Giant N which does cryptonight... gg

It will be useless in 6 months as Monero will change PoW every 6 months.
As far as I know will be useless for Monero at the end of this month with V7. Baikal may be able to release a firmware for V7, but I'm sure Monero will make sure it's not possible for the next one Smiley

It'll be useless with V7 in ~15 days, and if baikal could circumvent that with a firmware update (hint: they can't) you can be sure Monero devs wouldn't wait 6 months before updating the algo again.
Why do you think they can't? I bet these are FPGAs as the other Baikal miners. Monero could screw them by increasing the memory requirements, but that would also affect CPUs that have limited cache size. Knowing Baikal unresponsiveness I wouldn't bet on them releasing anything on any predictable schedule though.
