I am digging my 3x VEGA-64 cards on Cryptonight.

Super low temps running ~1800 H/S per card.
yesterday I have managed to install my first vega 56 into the rig with 5 gtx 1080ti
it took about 4 hours straight to make it work, but now that PC push out like 2K h/s o cryptonight + 16.3 mh on XZC
if it would be stable, I'm happy

Hi guys!!

I have been lurking for months and finally signed up!

@crocozino, what SW do you use for your XZC mining? I have a few Vega 64 ready to jump on as soon as the ETN bubble burst...

reference models are always built from best components but can be loud and hot due to 1 blower fan.
non-refs will be pain to downclock and downvolt if they make custom bioses )) Also if they find hynix hbm instead of samsung one - it will be some pain too. So I would recommend to find refs if you can ))

This sounds incredible. Do you have reference models?
The only thing, that difficulty will rapidly increase after the release of custom GPUs.

difficulty always increases Smiley  But what about the price....that is the important part for a big coin.  1800hs you can push it higher towards 2000 if you want.  super low temp at 1800 is good too, depending on where your gpus are.

Windows re-install takes a lot of time. Especially if one has to then also wait for all updates (incl 1709 fall creator's update). We're talking hours there unfortunately.

I'll recommend using image with current updates. 15 minutes to reinstall with all current updates and automatic updates disabled as free bonus in my case.
Wanted to create an image of the fully working system... Unfortunately I hadn't got that far yet. Oh well. Since I don't have a spare GPU at hand (not going to take any off my working rigs just for this, that'd be asking for trouble), re-install here we come.

Also, is there anywhere I could get devcon.exe without having to download the whole Windows Drivers Kit?

There you go. Script also included.
Thanks very much, buddy, much appreciated! You saved me a lot of time there!

Need to wait the cards with custom design from manufacturers.
New Asus ROG Strix model with 3 fans is announced at the end of the month here in Russia, hope it's true. I think that most of them will be available in January.

do you need the powerplay mod to getvdecent wattage?

i have 3 vegas 56 all around 1200core 850vdc , 1075 mem , 900vdc

two give 1900 h/s the third starts high and then settles at 1750 same anoying

my main issue though is power usage , im still close to 250 watt or more per card
even with the lowered voltages, i have Ulps set in registry to 0 on all cards

Now Im heard you have to set up power playor something in registry can somone post a quick guide on this ?
did a bunch of searching but it seems to be burried in the thread

thanks

Cards just appeared in stock on Amazon. 5 limit per customer for Vega 56 at $499 and 2 limit per customer Vega 64 at $599

I'm not seeing anything.  Link?
my guess they were sold within a couple of minutes, that is why they are not there any more
that's a pity of course, I want to buy one more VEGA 56 to one I  already have
but have to wait I guess once they will arrive again, hope will grab one eventually  Roll Eyes

They were gone in minutes. I was able to snatch 6 Vega 56 (I bought 5 that was the limit and my wife ordered the other 1). They were Sapphire reference design. At least one community member benefited from my post and was able to buy 5. Custom cards are going to be released soon by at least 3 manufacturers, I guess they're getting rid of the last reference design ones they have. The PowerColor custom is already on newegg but not selling yet https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131734. Let's see what's the price and availability. AMD announced they will increase supply, but recently they also said that crypto craze was over and they expected reduced sales this year, so I'm not sure they know what they're doing.

Two rigs work perfectly fine with any registry edit, however I have one rig, where any reg edit i TRY (no matter be it 0.95mV on core, 800MHz on mem or literally anything) will lead to one GPU ending up with Error 43 once disabled/enabled. Now, this could... mean the card is DOA. The problem is, the exact same card mines just fine with stock registry and no edits what so ever.

All the components are identical on every rig. Does anyone please have any idea?
