Probably in the last days of snapshoting the price will crash.
This is what I speculate too. A good thing about this is we know that there are people buying in NXT because of Ardor and there might be a dump because snapshots are over. This is the first time we are witnessing a predictable pump and dump. A good thing also is you will have Ardor in the end giving you double the rewards. That is not even counting on the Ardor pump yet.

I'ver read somewhere that Bittrex and Poloniex stated that they will distribute Ardor to people keeping NXT at their exchange. Is that true? They probably keep track of it themselves then, don't they? (since they don't have one wallet per user)

I have not fully read the Ardor concept. Will there be a new wallet for Ardor or can we still use the current updated Nxt wallet? If not, will the API change? I am currently designing a addon and I do not want to reprogram the whole stuff later again.
The api will be modified, but changes will be kept to a minimum according to core devs.If I'm allowed to speculate, you'll be forced to provide a specific id for what child chain token you want to query, and maybe something more, but the api will be more or less the same as today.
The MyNxt Wallet Server is Under Maintenance
I have not fully read the Ardor concept. Will there be a new wallet for Ardor or can we still use the current updated Nxt wallet? If not, will the API change? I am currently designing a addon and I do not want to reprogram the whole stuff later again.
For the staking you don't need a new wallet. Ardor will only launch in 2017. Regarding the API I don't know. Join Nxtforum.org for more info.
