With the look of things,  they are not completely dead yet but they are no longer being talked about anymore either do people still think about engaging in projects which still offers ico. Some project still offers ico but the traction they get is nothing to write home about
they cannot be dead. it's just that ICO has now ceased to be itself and all of them changes their format to IEO. this is not surprising - evolution

Not dead, but ICO has now decreased its interest. Certainly because the IEO has emerged and many people have switched to the IEO.
yup! it is true.
the IEO is currently being talked about and many investors are turning to the IEO but that does not mean the ICO is losing investors. some ICOs are still going well, indeed not as many as a few years ago but it proves that the ICO is still alive.

I would not say that ICOs are dead, because there are enough examples of ICOs that ended successfully in 2019. Not every project needs an IEO, you just need to achieve a certain level of hype and it does not matter if you are doing it by your own or with help of a big exchange.

there are still a lot of ICOs at the moment, ICO is not completely dead, it's just rivaled now with the IEO and also the STO. but now the IEO is on a popular peak and people are moving from ICO to IEO. ICO is still quite worthy.

The ico are not dead and not going to an end but now ieo is much popular than ico and many new projects are doing ieo as a fundraising, but ico is also good and they have similarities but both same can bring profits and losses and now i didn't see any ieo that succeeds.

Recently, the number of new ICO has significantly decreased and investors have lost interest in such projects. There are ICO that last for a year or more. Now many investors have turned their attention to IEO.

ICO is dying slowly because this model has lost confidence from investors. A lot of ICO projects have scam investors for many different reasons. During the time of capital mobilization, they provided continuous news and beautiful promises about the development of the project. But after successfully mobilizing capital, they updated very little news and did not follow the schedule they committed. There are very long projects listed on the exchanges and if on the exchanges, it is the small exchanges. So often do not bring profits to investors.

actually ico didn't die but there was a problem because many of the projects that committed fraud through the ICO made investors hesitant and switched to IEO / STO.

Investor confidence in the ICO has started to fade because many ICOs were scam last year. Maybe that's why, many new projects choose IEO because IEO is something new in the cryptocurrency market and also to restore investor confidence in new projects

Interesting article about the death of ICOs and the emergence of IEO... https://cryptotradernews.com/investing-trading/are-icos-really-dead/

What do you guys think? I don't think ICOs are fully dead. They just need to be regulated in more efficient ways. Most ICOs from 2017-2018 never delivered on their promises because they were being ran by a bunch of assholes who didn't deliver squad... We need more regulation. Only then will ICOs get better imo.

Maybe the ICO is not dead but many investors are no longer interested in joining the ICO. Now almost all new projects prefer the IEO path because it is easier to sell tokens or raise funds. Besides being easier for the developer team, investors prefer the IEO because of the profits potential after listing on the market

Initial Coin Offering (ICO) really need a regulatory mechanism to win the trust of investors again, without such, fraudulent activities/lack of seriousness on founders may still continues.

Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) is a better alternative that has revived blockchain- based startups again.

It caused by the majority of the platform that wanna conduct ico in the past already got a big offer to create such cooperation with some exchange sites to create IEOs, you can see that about how IEOs was growing a lot these days. But a lot of promising icos still exist till this day.
even some IEOs did not get good responses from investors. especially on new exchanges or with small volumes. that's what makes the ICO up to now still running and we can see it in new projects that have high confidence.

Not exactly. There are some ICos like ferrum, but number of IEOs is far bigger. Probably IEOs are more popular and step by step those are replacing ICOs

no ICO dies, those who die are projects that don't have enough competence to get investors. while those who have all the competencies desired by investors do not see the ICO or IEO, success will come to the project.

I did not say ICO was dead but already dying,
if you see that there are many ICOs that are made at this time, maybe only one or five can move forward because there are very few investors investing in them.
even though the product is very good, it doesn't necessarily work because of the lack of people buying during the ICO.

I have some opinion with you.Ico is not fully dead. it only need more regulation to be trusted.
So, IEO is overtake this situation.
some ICO are still running. this does not indicate that ICO is dead, actually the IEO is not very good either. see not many successful projects with this. ICO may be outdated, indeed it must be replaced by a way that prioritizes projects that are truly real.

I think that the best words for the situation on ICO market is: the end of ICO hype.
It is good? Probably yes, only promising projects will be supported by angel investors.

very sad to see when a new ICO project is being exchanged
the impression is that these tokens no one needs the price of the sale put lower and lower
