ICO is not dead. More precisely there are already many who do not use ICO. Although there are still a few. Investors trust IEO more. Compared to ICO, IEO is far more useful. Moreover, if the IEO conducted on the exchange are already popular. Then, tokens will be sold out in a few minutes.

Not dead, but dying. Of the recent examples of successful ICOs, I know only one. Ferrum Network, ICO raised $ 300,000, and is now trading at a price of 1.5 from the price of sales. Not the best result, but not the worst.

Interesting article about the death of ICOs and the emergence of IEO... https://cryptotradernews.com/investing-trading/are-icos-really-dead/

What do you guys think? I don't think ICOs are fully dead. They just need to be regulated in more efficient ways. Most ICOs from 2017-2018 never delivered on their promises because they were being ran by a bunch of assholes who didn't deliver squad... We need more regulation. Only then will ICOs get better imo.
ICO is not dead, it is just going through the most difficult period. The market went down, which led to ICO projects not having enough capital to maintain, and it was also directly competitive from the IEO. But all will be fine, calmly wait. The IEO is just a short-term trend and it will soon be removed. After all, only ICO is really useful.

ICO is a good system to raise funds in other to support any project that lack funds but it was over hyped due to selfish set of people who only think is an opportunity for them to scam people which has brought about investors running for it to be safe and that also give ieo chance to emerge.

I would say that ICO's are not completely dead but their reputation has been tarnished over the past 2 years due to scam projects. The invention of STO and IEO are what solved the issue of people supporting startup projects and it definitely worked out for us, investors. Micro Token Offerings is also getting some buzz around due to its lottery-based system where you can buy coins on 50% which is already listed on exchanges, that's instant profits there. Though some companies are still doing an ICO since they still trust the system, but some crypto people are already wary of its flaws and would rather look for alternative offerings.

ICOs will become a thing again when Altcoins will show a confirmed macrocycle uptrend.

Every shit will pump again, because of greed.

I think it is not totally dead but slowly dying due the bad impression that it made on investors in the crypto world.  Right now more people are eyeing on IEO but anyways it is still a kind of offering.

I think ico isn't dead yet because there are still many ico present in this forum and if ico really dies, maybe only the IEO is left behind. just look at the bounty thread, because there are still many ico present in this forum

They are 100% not dead,,, I see them like you, still popping up all over the place. And yes, for me IEOs and STOs are still ICOs, I do not care what they say the difference is,,, it is like saying an altcoin and an alttoken is different when we all know for practical reasons they are not at all different.

The IEO is currently one of the most popular forms of funding, but it cannot replace ICO. The IEO is a form of access to investors through an exchange platform with available customers. If you own a great project, you do not need to choose an IEO because ICO can still help you achieve hard cap easily.

Earlier people weren't much aware of the cryptocurrency network, now scenario has changed with more and more number of people knowing about cryptocurrency. This way more firms have begun to tokenise their services. We cannot say everything will succeed.

From my view in comparison to the days of 2017 the market competence have increased massively. This has led for the existence of new methods of marketing plans. As a part now we've got the IEO, and this has diminished the importance of ico's and ico's weren't dead.

no, I think this year ICO will continue to run well because most investors are still participating in the ICO program, so I think the ICO will not die with the IEO this year.

It will not die in any way. The IEO is trending but it will soon end, just as the ICO used to be.
I think ICO is still essential because now there are some potential projects that still implement ICO, such as Hashgrap.
In the black market, traders are buying tokens at the price of x3 - x5.
I don't think so, ICO will die by the abrasion of time because the IEO is a new trend, projects cannot be updated and work easily with this system, they need time to adapt, which is why the ICO still exists but until the problem is solved, I wonder how many projects will continue to use ICO. Perhaps very few projects and gradually it will become zero, IEO will replace the dominant position in this field, ICO should die because if it does not die, the project will go down over time, so obvious when the IEO arrives, projects seem to revive

The scam projects inability to get their coin listed and make some profits brought doubt to the process. The risk was higher and it was the innovation out bear market. Investors and exchanges still care about their profits, if IEO keeps getting everyone involved profitable it might last longer than we expect but we need more money in the space. If we rely on the fund that comes from bitcoin alone the dominance will continue and will strangle altcoins more, every altcoins holders will keep on moving to bitcoin.

ico isn't dead, it's just that since the emergence of ieo now the interest of ico investors is starting to decrease and most of the ico investors seem to prefer to join ieo. But for me personally ico and ieo are effective ways to collect investor funds, but both only have different functions. but I am sure that ICO is still widely used for investment,

ICO's are fading out and some years to come no investor will go in for ICO's unless they  modify themselves. Many have really lost a lot in ICO's and the hearing of ICO's just bring some rage. IEO's are more trusted than ICO's currently.

IEO is an innovation in the crowd sale market, and I don't think we are gonna go back to ICO when people are more satisfied with IEO since it's safer to invest. In addition, regulation impose by the government now are stricter and they are focus in crypto which I don't think they will side ICO over IEO.

I am sure that the era of the ICO is coming to an end. IEO has a number of advantages, from which the world of cryptocurrency is getting better. One is replaced by another. It's quite normal.

Well, now find such a project is not just, you need to choose carefully. 90 percent of the ICO simply promise, but in fact it turns out everything on the contrary
indeed almost everything like that. but there are a number of new projects that have chosen ICO as their preferred method of selling compared to the IEO. maybe there will not be many investors who are interested, but there are some who still get substantial sales.
depending on the dev you want to develop it through which method, even though most projects are now through the IEO, but there are some projects that are still implementing the ICO pattern. and if the project is good, supported by a good team, I think the ICO method still deserves success

The wonders of the blockchain technology

Regulations or no regulations, it doesn't prevent the risk of failure in all businesses. Regulations may reduce scams. There are sure ICOs without regulations which are doing very great and there have been IEOs which are outright scams. It is only unfortunate for some genuine projects that have been scammed by crypto exchanges- That's the crypto world we have found ourselves....
Bottom line is: DUE DILIGENCE is the best Risk manager in all
