I don't think so that ICOs are dead. They are kind of reform. For last few months the ICO market was falling. Cause most of the icos was failed or a scam for that reason people are kind of Afraid to invest. But suddenly the game was changed when the IEOs comes to the market. Almost the same thing with new packaging and some good names. In IEOs many big names like binance, huobi, kucoin are added so they made it more makes it most trusted. And investors are again wanted to invest. So ICOs are not dead they are IEOs now.

yes I also don't think that the ICO is completely dead. Of course there is something worthy to follow. on the other hand since the IEO emerged most investors switched to the IEO for several reasons, such as those related to concerns about ICO fraud. IEO fraud risk is smaller than ICO

I think that ICO projects have long been dead.  Because no one believes them anymore and no one will trust their money to fraudsters.

I agree that ico is now dead, because ico is a slightly bleak thing in the crypto world in 2017 this hype was enough to amaze me because there were many projects that could get tens to hundreds of millions of dollars in a short time, but it turned out that the project was not getting too much profit, indeed there are some who benefit, but there are only a few projects so it's better to die instead of harming other investors for ieo I see the benefits offered are very interesting and also it's still a little fresh because it might still be free from scam project for this time

I think ICOs are not dead but most of the investors are not trusted anymore because of scam accusation, I think ICOs should be regulated to prevent the scam and the investment of investors will be safe and getting profit from the ICOs.
but even though ICO has been regulated in such a way ICO still has a risk of failure so we are still at risk of losing money.
so it all depends on each investor, because even though ICO has a lot of fraud but those who are used to it will still invest in the ICO.

Interesting article about the death of ICOs and the emergence of IEO... https://cryptotradernews.com/investing-trading/are-icos-really-dead/

What do you guys think? I don't think ICOs are fully dead. They just need to be regulated in more efficient ways. Most ICOs from 2017-2018 never delivered on their promises because they were being ran by a bunch of assholes who didn't deliver squad... We need more regulation. Only then will ICOs get better imo.

I don't think ICO needs regulation necessarily. People also need to think for themselves. It is up to us and our responsibility to close the door on scams. As a community, we should stick together and rid this place of as many scams as possible. It is possible for us to regulate it ourselves and if you do we can reject scams ourselves and warn people. The problem is people seem to get greedy and want get rich shcemes which just isn't going to happen. Regulation cannot cure greed and scams exist with regulation as well, they are just more advanced and hard to spot. The more security the more the criminals fight back and scam. It is unfortunate but true.

I think ICOs are not yet dead. It just lost the interests of investors since there are fake projects that aims to get money from them and run away just like what the article says. Certainly we can see that there are projects coming up and it is just only a matter of how the project will make its move to succeed so that the invested money of those investors won't go to nothing.
I will tell you that there are some ICOs out there with good projects and they are trying to gain attention of the people in a struggle to bring back life to the dead body of ICO. This means that though IEO might have replaced ICOs but ICOs are not yet dead and I am happy about it because not all the crypto startups get their IEO conducted but they get easy funding through ICOs. So it is still a hope for some budding startups out there.

For my opinion IEO should be given more importance now because most projects are now being successful by the IEO. According to me, a trait of the IEO is more noticeable IEO helps more to identify means that scammer and fake projects can be avoided.
But your topic is still dead! in fact ICO not dead yet. Even ICO the number of investors in ICO has decreased. However, maybe ICO time can come back once again, When the number of real projects increases.

ICO projects are not yet dead, but their volumes have decreased tenfold and are still on the verge of survival. These projects now really need regulation and, most likely, regulation by states in order to rid them of so much fraud. Many states are already preparing regulations for regulating the activities of the ICO and, perhaps, soon we will wait for such regulation. Perhaps after that the activity of the ICO will be revived Everything will depend on how effective such regulation will be, since it can also have some negative consequences.

it is now better. where not many investors believe in the ICO project, and we can now really see ICO truly ready to develop and mature to face the crypto market. looking for this kind of ICO now might be difficult, but ICO conditions will now be better for projects that are really ready and good.

the problem was not the ICO who died, but investors began to feel the loss with some of the projects they had invested, it was bad for krypto's reputation, I think this need to be repaired as well as possible so as to provide benefits to investors.

This kind of thing makes a lot of scam happen in the ICO project and makes many people become afraid to invest. For now the IEO is the best of the ICO in my opinion, because there is also a market guarantee available for the new coin / token.

at least there is a guarantee of exchange for the coin that can be immediately traded. but I think this system is still very risky with sales manipulation. unless exchanges can be very transparent with sales made. So far, the IEO is still feasible to follow.

What I observed and read about the IEO has been the hope for the Crypto project. If it's a matter of manipulation, Exchange IEO organizers will risk their reputation if they enter that circle

ICO didnt died, they just changed their name for something more exotic.. IEO.. in fact is the same..same patterns, high FOMO kicking in and people buying like crazy.. my next target: Beatzcoin... do you own research and enjoy  Grin
no, in my opinion ICO and IEO are different even though there are similarities but in my opinion it is not the same.
I am sure if the ICO does not change into an IEO because if so, the ICO should no longer exist because it has already changed with the IEO.
and in my opinion the IEO and ICO will run side by side.
It is difficult to say this but the current trend is that people seem to prefer to invest in the IEO and in fact, the IEO offers better returns than the ICO. I think the IEO will become a new investment trend over the next few years and it is likely that ICO will soon be forgotten in the near future so if you talk about potential then IEO is number one. Maybe people still have faith when investing in ICO but if not careful, you will lose a stupid amount of money at a poor project.

Strong and trust longer ICO alive always but there is short time ICO going to dead trusty. Not now supporting ICO, everyone is now operating in IEO. However smart investor they know that trust is always on ICO and there they will be interested. In my opinion, short time investment must be included in the IEO on to the popular hit exchange.

ICOs are definitely not dead. The reality however is that cryptocurrency projects can no longer rely on just hype driven tactics to meet their hardcaps and project fundraising goals.
Now cryptocurrency projects really have to offer investors a solid project that has been well planned, backed by a good team and has a viable use case and is also ready tone fast tracked into the crypto market.

If you compare the time of raising funds through ICOs and now that IEOs is in play, you will have every reason to believe that ICOs are gone or instead dead.
ICOs caused more harm than good both to investors and the crypto space, but with IEOs now, everything is getting better.

It's very useful for the arrival of the IEO at this time with complaints from people about ICO that did not produce anything and did not improve the slightest profit. Hopefully this good thing will continue to increase in the future and many investors will again buy new types of Altcoins.
This is what we need an intermediary between the investor and the project itself. The developer will not be able to use the funds
collected from investors, before certain conditions must be met. so investors will not be cheated and scammed because of the shit project

I think not, there are still ICO that delivers nowadays but not all. The emergence of IEO is just like an upgrade for ICO and I think it has the same procedure on how to invest and how the devs run the projects.
