I believe that today, almost all of humanity depends on high technology, including on its smartphones.  We are not talking about addiction, like addiction, because this addiction is completely different.  The point is that today, using a smartphone, a person can completely manage and own information, including managing his life, which includes various actions using the Internet and a smartphone.  For example, to buy goods or pay bills, as well as communicate with government agencies and receive various documents that are important in your life.  Everything can be done not only using a computer, but also using a smartphone.  I believe that this is the dependence of the modern world on smartphones.

We are really addicted to our phones? What can we do? What you can do when you keep your phone on and what you do on usually?
Well im not a cell phone addict since I rarely play mobile games and just using my phone when necessary like checking my emails or logging in here in the forum. But this is not the case when I was a teenager, that time if you have a phone you're in and I have many text mates and call mates so I spent most of the time using my phone and sleeping late. But everything changed when I got married maybe because my priority already is my family and their welfare so I have to focus on how to earn money to sustain their needs.

Everyday I wake up with checking the notifications on my mobile.

At the end of everyday I will be using mobile as my last activity.

Not sure I am addicted or not. Cheesy
Yes you are dude. I just want to say something so that you are aware. Cell phones have high radiation that can affect your health. You should put it away like a few meters from you even when you are sleeping. Me, I am also like you but when I know the possible effect I started to learn.
Yes I am aware but all the things we are doing have harms just like the inorganic foods on most places and depletion of ozone layer.

Just  checked on my statistic, in average I spend 6 hours a day using my cell phone. Can I be called addicted? My girlfriends spends more than 9 hours, so I guess I'm fine for now Cheesy
Sad to say it, buddy, but you're both addicted if you stare at that little device that long each day.
Personally, I only use my phone for work and emergency calls, I am rather addicted to the internet though. A good chunk of my time is spent online, lately.

Cellphone, especially smartphone, is very useful. Not only for entertainment, some people use smartphone to do their job. Addiction is bad but maybe in some cases it's not addiction, people actually need the smartphone to accomplish something. If I leave home without my smartphone, yes I would feel that I'm missing something. But I don't think it's because I'm addicted to my phone, it's just a pretty handy thing to have. Your family or somebody can reach you anytime anywhere, or when you have trouble you could call someone to ask for help, etc.

The most of the people say that the smartphones exist to give others their undivided attention, but what they don't know that using the phones during social events actually diminishes them own experience of those events. So this tool is responsible for our unsatisfying social interactions.

We are really addicted to our phones? What can we do? What you can do when you keep your phone on and what you do on usually?
there is no one lives here in this world without the help of cell phones especially after the entry of Smartphones it will be nothing without the mobiles and I also been in this case from a long period of time.

This is very true, today the cell phone is not an addiction, it is a prevailing need, because it is very easy to access information, to have live events in full development.

Most people already have as their main means of communication their cell phone, in addition to some App that are very necessary to communicate like Whats App, Telegram, social networks like Facebook, Twitter, which, today, people have given the enhancement that they think they deserve, many live on social networks, if there is not a PC nearby, the same phone can work like a PC, the internet is right there ready to be used at any time.

The global communication through App like Zoom, Skype, is what facilitates everything, for these reasons I think that people see the use of the cell phone very necessary. And the people who are older have taken many the initiative to start taking as learning measures the correct use of the cell phone with some App, for their correct communication, they have been modernized little by little.

These changes are very good, because the digital age that we are, advances every day, cell phones are much more powerful and have more resources to use, there are many sizes, large, small and medium, to suit the tastes of each person.

You can live without a mobile phone today, 25 years ago only a few people needed a mobile phone, now everyone has at least one. I use my phone to read the news and watch the latest bitcoin price.
Most of us are feeling dyimg once they don't have phones or internet because they routine now is using cellphone. I believe to the people who live before because they can become happy their selves even they don't have cellphone they spend their time to work and talking to their family or bonding everyday not like today.

Let's just say that cellphones have become a necessity nowadays and it's hard to determine if working on your phone most of the day is an addiction or not. We have apps that has become part of our work, used as communication with families and friends, used for health snd entertainment etc. Some can be pointed out as addiction but not for everyone.
