The most of the people say that the smartphones exist to give others their undivided attention, but what they don't know that using the phones during social events actually diminishes them own experience of those events. So this tool is responsible for our unsatisfying social interactions.

We are really addicted to our phones? What can we do? What you can do when you keep your phone on and what you do on usually?

I think I am becoming one of those cellphone addicts! Maybe because my phone had it all, everything are saved in my phone, And without this I can't even call my mom because I don't memorize her number! This is reality, that I am very dependable to my phone. Sad

I don't consider myself an addict, because I use my phone out of necessity. I use it for work.

I cannot even recollect in my memory a person who is not addicted to gadgets. It's a pity, of course. Yet, that's true. Remembering a couple having a dinner in an expensive restaurant. They have been sitting in front of each other for more than 2 hours and everything they said, was: "Thank you" and "Love you". Rest of the time they've been playing a game in their cells. Quite sad  Sad
I came here to say pretty much the same thing.. even 3 year old need their ipads or they will get grumpy.

Excessive cell phone use is a trend that is growing every day. We are consumed with life behind the screen. But why? Because often, in the digital world, flowers are blooming and the sun is always shining.

I'm definitely quilty... however I'm trying to avoid being on my phone when I'm out with friends, but otherwise I wouldn't imagine my life without it. I wouldn't even be able to tell the time, wake up at the right time or even get around town without it.

I think every one of us are a bit of a slave to their phone... As long as it's not harmful I guess it's fine and of course we cannot forget the people around us too. One of the worst things lately is that people cannot seem to get their eyes of their phone even on the road - I have witnessed it myself how one girl was so occupied with her phone that she didn't even notice the queue of cars behind her as she was going so slow until the moment when her car engine stopped...

I've been trying to use my phone less by holding it on silent and not receiving social media notifications. Actually helps. Also the apps that show you how much you actually spend time on your phone are rather good.

The weird thing is that, I could do without calling anyone, but I can't do without texting and using my cellphone's ability to go on the Internet instead! Undecided

I guess, it would appear to be so.. but not really! Shocked Since, if there are other devices for me to use, I won't actually miss my cell phone that much.

Yes and No. Yes, because I work via my phone. And no, because if I don't have work-you won't see me using my phone.

I'm sure that all the people nowadays are addicted to their cell phones, because it makes our life easier and more comfortable. We have all the information we need with us every moment. We can take pictures, write messages, make phone calls and the other things we can't do without.

I think i am a little bit addict, because sometimes i can spend 5 hours just watching Instagram photos or videos. So, i am trying to do something with that and i just switch off the phone and read a book instead or talk to my family. That really helps.
