Recently Bloomberg posted the information that it took hackers less than 10 years to steal over 14% of all existing Bitcoins and Ethereum from the wallets of their holders. The total sum they have stolen is more than $1,2 billion! How to protect yourself from hackers attacks? Are you afraid of this stuff?

Usually we will be afraid of such things especially when it comes to expensive assets, so I am always careful in doing other things that concern our important accounts like wallets, and for security I always provide security for this device. and always bookmark all the sites I visit frequently, although it does not guarantee it's safe but we've done our best to keep our assets.

There're some concerns. With the help of a web-based malware, cybercriminals extract cryptocurrency Feathercoin, Litecoin and Monero because they don't need special equipment and super-powerful computers as for the production of bitcoins. Scripts for mining are implemented in popular sites with streaming video (YouTube) or browser games, where users spend a relatively long time. These resources are expected to load the processor, which allows you to mask the additional load from the miner.  Undecided

Everybody are afraid of hackers. Who do think is not afraid, thinking that all your digital money is safe then suddenly disappeared in a moment. All your sacrifice and hard word will go nothing. Hackers targets are those have low security but have a large amount of money.

yes I'm afraid. Because if you are hacked, all of your earnings that you worked for will be all gone in a snap. All the efforts and time you put in will be useless. But let's just take this as an awareness. Let's all be aware on the things that we do, on the sites that we visit. Let's think before we click. Let's secure our private keys. Don't give it to someone else. Use a secured and trusted wallet like myetherwallet. I don't have any issues with it. Another is don't input unnecessary information on social medias. Through these, we will not be shaken by these hackers.

right now i don't have to much money in my wallet so i not afraid at all.

but sometimes I think what about the man who has a lot of money in his wallet? if it was me I certainly would not be able to sleep soundly because of thinking about the security of my investment that may not be fairly safe against hackers.

i read many thread on this topic "hackers" and they say bitcoin is safe and have good security. but i don't know is true or not. so maybe i to afraid if i invest money in large quantities. and you say hackers already have $1,2 billion from who holding ETH and BTC. maybe security of bitcoin not good enough

maybe we should have protect our browser like ip security or something else. you need to afraid because afraid make us more alert to what will happen.

of course no I'm not afraid of denan hackers because I feel I keep my data always in a safe place and I believe hackers can not break into security like bitcoin or bitcoin market like bittrex because the assets I have I keep there all.

I am, I still don't have quite the proper knowledge to protect me against hacker though I know I am not of an high value target I am still thinking from time to time that what if my investment and account details is compromised. Lately I've been paranoid to almost everything unknown in the internet which I think is a good defense mechanism and tiring at the same time.

Everyone is afraid on hackers specially with the person who are professional when it comes to hacking, people with a lot of great coins and value on their wallet are more afraid of being hacked, that's why they pick and choose safer digital wallet to keep their coins. People are also extra careful not to open their account and do not connect on public connection like free wifi on hotel or dining establishment. Keeping your password change for a while is one way of securing your wallet. And never connect your account with suspicious link and if you accidentally does it then change you password right away.

I don't understand bloomberg. I think their articles try to affect the market using every possible ethical or unethical method!

That being said, yes, I think everybody should be afraid and aware about the security risks and be cautious.
Yes of course i am afraid of hackers.Hacking is developing, day by day, reaching new heights. Most of them are merciless, can cause great harm to you financially.Hackers are mysterious, with secret agendas. And I think most people should be aware that they can be hacked, but that they won't be directly targeted.

If not, EVERYBODY should be afraid of hackers, you have to know this is wild west basically, and that we all have insecure computers that are just waiting for hackers to grab the money easily, never post how much do you have of some coin, what is the worth and your personal info, you will just be making it easier for them, lock your private keys as if you have 1mil on your account and take good care of it, one day you just might have that mil!

To protect myself from hacker is not to store too much bitcoin in my wallet and encash them once it got the highest price in the market. Also, I will change my password from time to time, I will make 15 characters and will never open wallet in any computer except my personal one. Hackers are very intelligent people but we are more intelligent than them because they use theirs in bad things,

if we talk fear or not It's certainly scared but it's all how we deal with it and prepesional. Because of all that we must be wise in dealing with it and how to use it. Therefore the things we convey must be positive and useful, so that does not happen that we do not want.

Fear is one's emotional response to the dangers of threat. Every human being must have fear, in fact fear is something normal, depending on how our point of view in overcoming fear.

Fear must be inside me from hacker attacks, how to protect from hacker attacks, depending on how to manage our financial data. Although just joined (newbie) in this bitcoin world, I learned it from a friend who has been hit by hackers.

We must be courageous in the face of whatever we think is right. Conquering fear is the beginning of wisdom.
Yes, good management will protect your account well. But we really need other technologies to help protect our assets.
I'm really afraid of hackers, they can rob all my assets in just a few minutes. We need to protect our property by buying cold wallets. It is an essential thing to protect your property.
