there is gap to far between Indonesia and South Korea , in mentality they have different gap although in few years ago when Evan Dimas era they could compete with South KOrea in U23 Asian Cup. Since this young player move to senior team , they didnt play well anymore and there is no one know why its always happen to Indonesia team. Alot young player send abroad so they will have good experience and skill , but when back to national team as if this is back to zero again.

I have to say that it is hard to be Indonesian National Team coach due to some reasons.
One of the reason is about the political situation in Indonesia that affects almost everything including in PSSI.
Other reason is about the huge number of Indonesian players out there, it is hard to get the best squad from hundreds or even thousands players.
One other reason is about how PSSI try to develop Indonesian young players, it should be improved a lot and it should be supported by all parties.

It's true, since Shin Tae-yong became a coach for Indonesia, the players seem to be more disciplined. I'm happy PSSI has chosen to keep Shin even though it hasn't awarded the title yet. It is better for Indonesia to going out fom AFF, I agree with this support. With Indonesia leaving the AFF< some people believe that Indonesia can focus more on the AFC. a lot of people also says if AFF will not be able to survive, if Indonesia finally going out. Because Indonesia is a country that mostly likes/supporting football, this can certainly encourage income for AFF through merchandise, broadcasting and sponsors or anything that can give money.  its mean less money for AFF.

Right now things are not good because few countries having issue with infrastructure and few is not able to host this cup just because of weather which is having not good in June-July with this all most chances South Korea or Japan are strong candidates for hosting this event, but AFC is still giving extra time to all countries those are interested can do their homework as we still have nearly one year for having this event with few countries are preparing for World Cup which is going to hold in November 2022 in Qatar and having many troubles for European countries as their domestic set up is going to have big issue with this.

AFC is no active for having few other events like U-19 and more regional trophies which can bring youths specially they need to do hard work in India as they are currently mad in cricket, but soccer could be also very popular if they work on marketing purpose and bring some strong material.

Football in Southeast Asia has recently begun to experience many changes, this shows the movement towards a better stage in the future. however I think it will take a long time to level up with levels outside Southeast Asia. The AFC Cup match is still 1 year away.

Right now, the best option for Asia is tried to develop from age groups which are going to bring few talented youths in main stream, and then they can develop their skills which could be helpful for them and this process can bring some good money for them as well as right now Africa is enjoying with the export of good number of soccer players to UEFA.

I really hope that the growth of Southeast Asian football can reach the best level at least like countries outside Southeast Asia. While waiting for the certainty of the host of the AFC Asia Cup 2023, we can see how the process of the AFF Asia U-19 tournament takes place which has reached the final.
