Informal, unofficial update on hashing

I asked friedcat to clarify a few things.
(1) Deployment rate will vary from 3 TH/s - 10 TH/s per week for the next few weeks.
(2) 20% at most of the second batch will be sold, so we will most likely see around 50 TH/s deployed.
(3) Full deployment by June is the plan.
(4) No power or network bottlenecks are expected.
(5) People can stop complaining about centralization because we will be solo-mining within the month.

Every currency needs the possibility to send small amounts of values. And if there is a minimum fee there is no problem with being feared of attacks because it costs. It shouldnt be a problem to send one satoshi if you add 0.0005BTC fee. I mean if there are many persons that dont want to include this im sure there are many miners that will happily include all these transactions and collect the fee.

With their percentage of the hash power of the network, obviously ASICMINER can mine its own blocks, including its own transactions. They don't need them to be relayed by anybody...

That said, and as I already said before, sending those outputs, even being feasible to ASICMINER, is a really bad idea because damages the overall health of the network.

Miners and nodes who have the updated anti-dust code won't relay or mine those transactions, regardless of what fee you put them AFAIK.

It's not "blocked". If a significant fee is attached it will get processed - it's a matter of bribe for miners.

Bitcoin will soon block small transaction outputs (less than 54.3 uBTC): https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/2577#issuecomment-17138223 This will prevent friedcat from identifying shareholders by sending satoshis (0.01 uBTC). friedcat how do you plan to work around this?

 thanks.  back to the usb sticks. are they really going to sell at 2 BTC = 220 USD.      If I buy a hd7790 it will hash at 300 just like the usb stick.  I can get one for 140 usd.

 yeah I am way ahead on price. 80 bucks.

 so if the usb stick costs zero power if you plug it in someone's pc  the hd7790 is 32 us cents a day.  if you pay 16 cents a k-watt.

I am ahead on price with the  hd7790 would take 250 days to spend 80 usd in power.

  I realize that the usb stick will get new people into BTC.  I just can't see a reseller paying 220 usd for these sticks. at least in the usa.   but then again one guy sold a working jalapeño for 4400 usd.   that is 20x the price at 5800 hash.

  I guess the sticks could sell at 300 one at a time to the right buyer but a reseller would not want to pay 220 to sell at 300.

 I have some shares of asic miner pt.  I have a large gpu farm 10Gh/s

I have 2 jalapenos on order and I canceled an order for 2x little singles.

 When I get that refund I will buy 10 more shares of asicminer pt.

I guess the sticks work for power thieves / chiselers  Which turns me off I could see a future problem with this.

 I can see the sticks are good in a high cost power area.. I know of more then one spot with power at 50 cents a k-watt .  Well we need to wait and see if they help us or hurt us.

Realistically the problem isn't that we can't ship individual miners.  The problem is just running auctions.

Someone just needs to make a dead simple website to handle this.  Maybe make it tied to forum ID's for verification, and require escrow deposits for newbie members to bid.  That's it.  The process doesn't need to be difficult.  I would do it but I'm working on something larger that will benefit Bitcoin more.

The confirmation satoshis will not be relayed anymore. But dividends will payout just fine.

Is there anything the shareholders will have to worry about with the dividends? I'm not even sure if this was legit but just was curious because they specifically brought up AM.

At first blush it sounds interesting, but I hate to be at the mercy of Amazon when it comes to any future pressure from outside entities that the product is illegal,no matter how ridiculous such a claim might be.  Hopefully the group buy system with prove efficient enough, but the day AM has the problem of needing a larger retail solution will be a very good day indeed...

I think it could be very beneficial for the USB miners.  Just ship to a few central shipping facilities in large amounts and then sell individual units at retail prices to the public.

I wasn't making the suggestion out of discontent - I was suggesting something I believe it would hugely benefit shareholders: solve logistical bottlenecks and increase product exposure.

Obviously it's not necessary to do so at this early stage, but when scaling up it could be useful to consider...
