Can't believe people are still wondering if they'll get their money back. Grow some experience in forex and you'll make your asicminer losses in like a couple months, whatever the amount. rofl

Is forex trading easier than bitcoin trading? Does forex trader value technical analysis more so that resistance and support are of higher value than on bitcoin trading?

Only wondering?

also wondering here: was your account sold recently? Or why do you have to whore out your signature to a scam site?

shame on you dude, a legendary member should know it better  Undecided

I spoke with the person behind. When the biggest investor was stupid enough to invest his coins in a way that he could be identified then not presenting the cold wallet address is fine for me. That doesnt proof a scam.

Though in their shoes i would move the coins, by avoiding traces, to a new location so that i could prove that the coins exist.

Still, i can understand if the investor wants to stay private. It doesnt mean that we have to have the same opinion on that topic.

wow, just wow   Embarrassed

what's your history on picking scams so far? briefly looking through your post history indicates that it is fairly easy to part you and your btc using a couple of nice words.

seriously, you should reconsider your benefit of doubt policy in the crypto space.

This thread still being spammed by shills nearly 6 months after FC's last post? Guess the AM name must be worth big heap coins Wink

Not anymore.. They are nothing but scammers in crypto community now. Useless bankrupt company. Something like GAW. But since they scammed big time however, their deeds will be remembered for a while.. Roll Eyes

Their deeds will in deed be remembered, the first company to deliver the holy grail of ASIC chips taking us from a network vulnerable to the mighty supercomputers of the banks to by far the most powerful network in the world and making investors huge profits in the bargain. Shame about all the poor fools that thought they'd get rich quick at 5 coins a share but seriously, anyone that thought 25% of the network was going to last would likely buy Bitcoin Savings and Trust too Wink
Almost 50% at one time, no? There was a time people were afraid of ASICMINER owning the network... how times change in the world of bitcoin.

Did you guys take a class action or something?
Sure, against that chinese guy whom we know from the bitcointalk forum and we even got a bad photo of him. Wink

Actually, i had the impression, that the chinese police is quite successfull in catching scammers. At least they look more successful than others.

I think shareholders should not wait because of some word of someone working for Asicminer, that Friedcat is searched by the police. They should act so that its ensured that the police is searching for him.

Saying that, judging from the past, a private investigator was often the one who found the traces. So big shareholders should think again if the saying about "throwing good money after bad money" should be applied.

So maybe FC ran away. But did the rest of the company including all the IP run away also?

If not, is there anything left to divvy up between shareholders in some kind of liquidation process?

From what I've read here on multiple threads there is no one in the building they used to work. Maybe the company still existing on paper, but... On the other hand - why go to work if there is nothing to work with. They got no next gen asics, no new cloudmining scam, no nothing. Just some lawsuits maybe Cheesy Some people were kindof ready to sue them, but don't know how this evolved after AMHashLC partial refunds..

my guess is that sometime in the next 2 years, a discreet, wealthy chinese mining farm will be found with hardware that looks a lot like what asicminer promised in gen3.

It can not be on AM, since the brand is dead and condemned by community.. If they wait two years - their design may not be that relevant then, they had to do it "now", but they could not, that's why they pulled out dat AMHash scam. The miners they stole from us are of course still mining somewhere, but I doubt we'll ever hear from them...

It would be the only course of action.
I lost money but not enough to afford a private eye to find FC, lawyers on retainer, and expect to actually get very little back. Victims of fraud and embezzlement rarely see any of their money back. It would simply be about vengeance.
If these guys were in USA we would have different options. There are gov bodies that oversee bring these type douche bags to justice at no cost, but the money's still long gone. Hidden. Moved off shore. I still want to report Jiang Xiu or w/ev his actual name is to Chinese police. Maybe they might catch him crossing a boarder and throw him in Chinese concentration camp or better yet, shoot him

meh, what? Rental Starter? the returns are so negligible, and its only a matter of time, when you need your funds most, the w/ever exchange the shares sit on will suddenly go offline, or just cut n run... its too wild-west-infested-with-sharks in this game. I believe these offerings will go down one by one, "unforeseen circumstances" one and all, until there is nothing left. only a matter of time.
If you playing your cards right, you've already cashed out of anything that was once viable. there's nothing left.

abandon all hope!

There will never be anything in this sphere that earns a satoshi. Every last security will lose you money.

That is not true.  Investors just need to stop gambling on securities with unrealistic expectations and take a more long term and supportive approach.  There are a few babies in this sea of bathwater.

No, this AM fiasco has been the final straw on the camel's back. Absolutely Give Up. It's over. There will never be anything in this sphere that earns a satoshi. Every last security will lose you money. They should move this entire sub in with the "investor based games" and "faucets" strictly for suckers. The best that could happen re; AM and FC? ... Cancer!

1)
Heck, maybe someone found him before you did. That ruling out the option of the chinese guy taking off on his own.

2)
Too bad so many people got burned. So much for collective idealism and financial prosperity through Bitcoin cryptocurrency. I guess i should give up on the whole idea of "mining" before I even started.
Hey, hope you guys find the scammer.
Don't forget to have fun big boys. At least now you can say, you were part of the story, when the time for stories comes and you and all your friends are around the campfire.

3)
PS:
Just made this acc to comment, heheh. I guess i am tired of googling everything about this.(basicly the last three days instead of doing more important university related work). Those coins became popular only after the bubble burst, two or three years ago.
I ended up here after a lot of topic-crawling. Topics such as:
sha256, bitcoin, gpu mining, eruptor sticks, fpga mining or ASIC machines.(through all its stages of pre-ordering + delivery + negative ROI). Not adding the power grid costs and effort setting that up. I guess this currency has only one way to go. And that is the corporate way, where they can afford the most expensive ASICs in the first few months after manufacturer-company delivers on their purchases(before clearing up their own bills.)

4)
TL:DR
Never give up. It's the community that remains after downfalls such as these. And by the way, now this topic gives me 1000+ pages worth of reading material, considering that I was late for the party, not having invested on this myself at an earlier point(I didn't even know the bitcoin specifics a few days ago, lol).

Have they found the body yet?

I am sure he is drinking beer somewhere or whatever they drink there far away and plans his next scam. That one will have to be undercover of course. You'll see, there will be some mining farm in Mongolia or whereever he fled offering reliable, maybe the only ones profitable after mining rewards halving Wink
Meanwhile while waiting for that he can mine for free since we bought him the hardware voluntarily. So as long as it is profitable you know what is happening with our miners...

Well, obviously these miners are mining somewhere. Tongue

I wonder if they are mining samewhere... Maybe AM just waved middle finger with this fake story and are happy mining with the equipment we bought for them. Who can deny this? Why even bother to move the miners somewhere. Their company is done either way, so they can just mine now for themselves with the money/miners they stole.
