Every single offering in this thread is either bogus or simply doomed.

That sound so strangely familiar.  As if a guy going by crumbs said the very same thing about two years ago...
who'd of thunk it? crumbs was right... too bad he was such an asshat about it, people might have listened.

Speaking of asshats, Steve Ballmer said in 2007 - "There's no chance that the iPhone is going to get any significant market share. No chance. It's a $500 subsidized item. They may make a lot of money. But if you actually take a look at the 1.3 billion phones that get sold, I'd prefer to have our software in 60% or 70% or 80% of them, than I would to have 2% or 3%, which is what Apple might get."

Imagine if we'd listened to him and not invested in Apple.

What would you tell Friedcat if you meet him in hell?

I see you couldn't take the heat in that server room.

So has this turned into a support group for poor bitcoin investments?
Welcome to Asicminers Anonymous.
Hi, my name is qwk, and I invested in Asicminer. Grin
Ha. The support group could be a lot larger if it were Crypto Scams Anonymous. AM, BFL, AMC, Labcoin, Paycoin, Moolah, etc, etc.

It is a shame how many scams have taken place in this community.  I can only imagine how much fun it would have been had things like GLBSE been a success.

Can't forget Labcoin, Bitfunder, Mintpal and the second gen exchanges that failed if we consider poloniex etc as 3rd gen

Who is to say what's true or not? I haven't heard anything about a wife, they think he went to Thailand but they also say he's kidnapped or dead. As far as any of us know, everything we've heard is lies.

I'm just wondering if he can ever work in the industry again? Guys can hate their wife right after the wedding. Especially nerds who are usually totally manipulated by women. They can empty the bank account and go live with hookers at some beach resort. They can do all sorts of stuff.

Entire companies can conspire to rip off their shareholders

Competing companies can headhunt these crooks

AM bagholders... We can't do much

imo he does not need to work ever anyway ^^

if he's the type of guy to run off on his wife after only a few months of marriage, and screw over a whole bunch of shareholders and throw his hard earned company away, I would imagine he's also the same sort of guy who could squander a fortune in a few years. its not as hard as you would think.

I doubt a bit that he can't handle money. I believe such behaviour should have been shown before already when he still was there.

And yes, it's easy to throw away money. Think about the uk-guy that won, i believe 160 Million Euro and a year later he worked at mcdonalds again. Roll Eyes

probably teh money also explain leaving his wife Grin

I sold my shares way too late.

We should have sold when they were at almost 4 BTC each Cheesy

I should have, indeed. Unfortunately, that was about a year before I bought mine. Wink

He seemed a nice guy

they all do, right before they screw you over

Quote
Are shareholders searching for him or is it a case of "nobody cares enough"?

from what I can figure out, the biggest shareholders were the earliest investors, so they had taken several times their initial investment already. There was the board of directors too (weren't you on it SebastianJu?) and I think they either got wind of this BS early and cashed out (several dumps for almost a year before FC split) or they simply were like the former group mentioned... they had already taken great profits and AM proper has already more than fulfilled their shareholder obligations, so ... why bother?

there might be some burned whales out there looking, but I certainly wouldn't announce my actions in public (here) if I was organizing a manhunt.

I'm pretty sure the rest of us have cashed out and taken the pittance we could for our useless shares.

I'd still like to see FC get his due, his exit was shabby move indeed.

one day he will turn up working for bitfury or some other chip designer

then we take to social media and get him fired

I had not enough shares to be able to be on board of investors. I'm not sure though i think the board members shared at least the crucial informations on here. And even if they would have known of problems... there would have been no way to sell all the shares they owned. I mean there simply was no market able to catch them without crashing. I believe that was why they became board members. Friedcat knew they won't sell. Because they can't.

I sold my shares way too late. Friedcat, for sure, was not the normal scammer. The normal scammer would have paid out way less dividens than friedcat did. I mean no shareholder would have been able to proof that he pays out less. And friedcat had more coins than he had at the end. So a clever scammer would have gone away more earlier.

I really wonder what a whale with big pockets could do. A team of private investigators, asking everyon "did you see this man" and following each trail. Maybe even bringing his face on interpol, spreading his face on airports. But they should have been faster.

I really can't see this anymore. All these scams. It makes me sad.

Hey! I resemble that characterization! some of it at least... yeah, I've been here a while, I have the (digital) hole in my wallet to prove it. and I gave up on this titanic loser a while ago. its over. attracting flies.

I guess it really is true what they say, in BTC land, BTC securities included... the guys who will get rich are the guys selling shovels, because the rotten, stinking corpse of AM needs to be buried! ASAP!
