I was once at almost severe level back when I was really hooked up in gambling but as I grow up and realizes what I am doing wrong I went back and made a change by myself and now I'm sure that my level today is only at the beginning again, Yes I do still gamble up to this date but I have now full control over on how much I will play and I'm just doing it for fun.

I see many of us have changed their level of addiction to gambling, and many of us have back to level 0 or 1. That is a great thing from us because we realize that gambling is for having fun and not for seeking money. If we can keep the level as low as we can, we can play gambling without worrying about become addicting, and we can playing gambling anytime we want, and we can stop anytime too.

Well, gambling teaches us to have discipline, self-control, and other things, and we can do that because we don't want to become addicting. We can teach other people to reduce their addiction too so they can have awareness about the danger of gambling. Once we are involved too deep in gambling, we can be addicted, and that will difficult to stop gambling. I am glad that I already reduce my level too like other people, and I hope that I can be at the lowest level because I don't want to get addicted in the future.

Hey OP, you probably might have come up with the most needed self-assessment tool for this community. Really a good piece of work for this gambling community; still I am not sure how many of this community will be making use of such self-test as they are TOO BUSY with their gambling Roll Eyes. You must have done some good work for this community whereas making use of it or not will be up to individual gambler's preferences.

I believe I am at the level of zero because I rarely go to gambling. So far all my gambling are only online even we are having lots of physical casino in our country. The fortunate thing is the religion which we are following; even I'm not that much religion oriented, I never prefer to go for gambling. I believe this is the simple way I do safeguard myself from gambling addiction.

I have level 0 and some level 1 but I am very careful not to go to level 2 soI believe I am on the side and will always strive to be on that level, people should be very careful to check what level are they in and to always maintain on a safe level because there is always a temptation to go all out and many people are tempted to go out of control.
Are you serious? Gambling is a hobby, the more you care about it, the more you stick to it. How to make an effort to control what you like? Basically, you're not an avid gambler, so you're not too stick to it, you can use the word "strive", but in fact, you just need to act spontaneously, I believe that you're still at level 1  Wink

I'm on a level 3 right now and because I have a lot of free time, in the past weeks I almost spend my whole week in casinos. My savings is dying and I should really stop this addiction, fortunately I can still control myself and now I'm moving on and stop playing for almost 2 days now. Gambling addiction is not healthy at all, you'll know this thing when you already experience to lose continuously.
Stopping instantly from playing gambling is a bit hard even for me, Realizing how gambling addiction affects you in your daily lifestyle and in your pocket is a starting move on changing yourself after you experienced become an addict on playing gambling.

I believe that you can change yourself from being an addict even though it'll be hard.

I used to be in the level 3 but when I have learned how to control my emotions and to handle my funds well. I could handle gambling at level 0. I didn't allow my world to rotate around gambling and having the urge and eagerness to spend more until I win the amount that I want. It's always mind over matter and we have to take control of our emotions especially when it comes to gambling before it controls us. We all know that consequences that we will be facing if we'll focus our lives in gambling too much.

Well honestly am at the beginners level.
It would be best if you keep it at that level. There is nothing better than getting a taste of gambling and how bitter it becomes with more losses. That will also stop you from wasting money on gambling.

Quote
I have this mindset that when i will i win still want to earn more but when i lost i want to play more just to gain back what i've lost.
Both are actually wrong ways to proceed. These things make you lose more in the cycle of gambling and there is always the chance of getting addicted for a new player. While managing losses is important keeping a check on habits is also important.

Just play when you wish to but keep limited bankroll to play with. Don't be the foolish gambler who rages when playing.

I am allocating maybe 10% to 20% from my income per month, but I did not fall any of the levels in the OP since I am not addicted in gambling anymore.
Based on my experience, when I am addicted in the past, I don't allocate any, I just gamble to win but I have no plan on stopping, that's why I get easily addicted.

A poll would also be helpful to get an easy picture from people who have addiction that will participate.
That is a great idea because this thread seems to be gaining traction quickly by the others who think they might have a problem. Undecided
Also have a picture of how each of these levels would look will be a bonus! Grin

-snip-

From your statement, I understand you are at level 2 (as per OP) and it would be better time to stop gambling or gambling only for entertainment purposes with the money what your affordable to lose. Forget your losses and focus on any other business to recover your losses in multi-fold.
Yes, in my opinion also trying to recover losses must be leading to big gambling addiction over the time. Because, the longer you will be staying with gambling, more chances you will be severely addicted. We should not gamble with our hard earned money even if we will be doing that then we should not bother about losses. We must accept losses and must move on, otherwise we will lose more money and will get addicted to gambling.

Being at beginners level of addiction and realizing how we're gambling must be good thing because if you are not assessing that you are gambling with your chances of gambling addiction then you will definitely will get addicted over the time. Everyone should realize what they are actually doing while gambling and must react to suggestions of this community for preventing gambling addictions.

Level 1 to level 3: (beginning levels)
1. New gambling ideas flashes in your mind even you are too busy with your studies or work or with friends/family.
2. Already lost in hundreds still you are strongly believing to recover them by innovating new strategy.
3. Made $50 then why not $100 or $500.

That is my level and I'm sure it just because I wear gambling signature and want to try their services, really good or bad. I'm not a gambler and I try to use free money to get fun from the site I promote, no big deal and far away from addict. I have limit and so far still good, first only use free money and always stay away from people or place that can make me addict. Simple to try and only need disciplines.
It all matters with discipline because levels of addiction cant really be mold up if you do know on how to control up yourself.
Answering back the question on op on whats my level then it would be level 0 yet anytime i can stop playing gambling
and play with it if id like to. All goes for entertainment and going beyond in terms of money and time isnt on my vocabulary
thats why i can easily quit nor ignore it.

Please do not try to recover your losses from gambling itself. Life is bigger than you could imagine and there are lots of opportunities available for making you rich. Gambling is not just a way of making money but to lose with it. So, the losses which had happened to you in gambling is just a fee for your entertainment and never look for recovering them by playing again.

Because, when you try to recover your losses then you will loss again and you will keep on trying which will get you bankrupted before you will be realizing what you are doing. This is how gambling had destroyed many innocent gamblers' life before they are realizing their action.

From your statement, I understand you are at level 2 (as per OP) and it would be better time to stop gambling or gambling only for entertainment purposes with the money what your affordable to lose. Forget your losses and focus on any other business to recover your losses in multi-fold.

But in fact, you don’t even have to count - a lot of diverse software has already been created that does this automatically. I have friends who earned money professionally on poker (they were regulators on PS), this software, in addition to calculating the probabilities, also showed the probabilities of the actions of opponents in a particular case. I was very disappointed in all this when I found out it. Online poker has been killed by this approach, imo.
And I can notice that in the case of such a “game” it does not even make sense to talk about excitement - in fact, such players did routine operations with numbers.
Agree with you on this matter  Roll Eyes Gambling is no longer a joy if we use machines and software to support, every decision is based on probability, which makes us bored. Online gambling is just a place to make money, not a place to entertain. What if a battle between two guys used software to fight each other? A fight of the numbers and probability LOL  Grin

Sometimes it will come to my mind and drives me to play but however I dont have  budget for it. I am still focusing on my investments rather than gambling because I believe that with tjis investments, even not in crypto, it will give me a return as time goes by.
As per OP, it seems you are still at level zero, congrats mate!

You are having budget  for your investment but you are sounding too discipline by not using those money for your gambling. That must be perfect action every gambler must take so that they can focus on building their future along with crypto rather than spending destroying their life in gambling.

It is part of my self discipline to be more cautious to the usage of money.
I believe that must be the point of this topic. By assessing various levels mentioned on open-post, you will come to know your your addiction level and when you are not get addicted then you can really focus on your routine life with double the force of hard work rather than spending time on quitting gambling and its addictions.

but these emotions are in no way connected with a sense of passion since the mathematics of the game is simple and understandable.
Just in case of Monopoly  Cheesy Not simple with all game  Roll Eyes If you have ever played poker or the similar game, you will find that calculating the probability of cards appearing is very difficult, the rules are easy to understand but it is impossible to predict what will appear in the future  Roll Eyes I often mention luck when I play this game  Cheesy Do you think it's easy to calculate?

I think easy  Smiley
