I was already became an level 4 before and it took several months to downgrade my habit became an level 0 and currently i didn't gambling often and consider my families above to gambling so if i already fullfil my family needs then i will thinking to gamble
Do you believe in a sayings that "once a gambler, always a gambler?"...
I have been in situation where I lose my control in gambling and eventually regretted it, but guess what, I am still gambling until now.

I believe in that saying, when you are a gambler you see odds and chances everywhere, doesn't really matter do you place bets or not, you see everything with from a gambling perspective.
Every gambler lost control at least once, some of us more than once. It's when you get carried by the excitement or huge wish to win. I had many good and bad moments in gambling, we all do, but I like to gamble and when I have money to spare I will gamble them, to survive in long run in gambling you need to know your limits.

Level 0:
Gamble while gamble and may forget it for months. Gamble only with friends and gambling is not an option to kill boredom.
I belong here, though I always find gambling as the answer to kill time and to entertain myself when im bored. But I dont gamble often so I think I can classify myself as a gambler who can leave gambling anytime and forget about it for a while. Level 1-3 is the start of addiction but you can still go back to your old self if you realize its not healthy for you and for your family. If you can manage to overcome this level then you're still a gambler who knows his limit.

I'm at level 0. I've gambled perhaps once in the last 12 months, losing no more than $20 Smiley
The right decision if you dont have enough budget on it, dont push your self into gambling.

Probably, to avoid being in level 4 and up you should always think that Gambling is only for entertainment purposes. And that you are warned at the beginning that you might end up being financially broke.

My family has a big history of gambling addiction. It is really sad that you will never recognize yourself being addicted to gambling already. I hate it when I remember how our financial position had a big slide because of gambling. My grandfather was a good businessman not until he learned how to gamble. Our lands were sold to banks and my mother has had the same gambling addiction.

The word that always comes up in my "I will never be a gambling addict". Never ever, cast in stone.

7. Planning to be a full time gambler because your day job is not supporting you to live as you wish.
I just found out if my gambling addiction level in the past has reached level 7, lol. But it happened because I had quit my full time job before and not because of gambling that made me quit my full time job, I think it was something different but when we gambled all day every time for several years, then that too equally bad because I only use gambling for the necessities of life so I accidentally made gambling a source of income until I was finally able to get out of the gambling circle and return to level 0.

In the light of OP's assessment levels, I believe it's safe to say that my gambling addiction level is still around level 0. Since November 2019, I've only placed just one sports bet and I placed the bet because my friends played and because it looked likely to enter. Gambling can really mess people up that's why I'm trying my best to keep it at bay. These days, I barely get feel like or get motivated to place bets. I have friends who don't go a day without placing a bet.

Have you make an analyst against it?

I mean you are collected some correspondent among an addict and someone who just know gambling? Because I saw in OP it seems like you know the ins and out about gambling, and yeah you need data in my opinion. You will be called as an insane when you show some statement that you should proof it with data you are not.
Since the tiers of intensities are still grouped, we can safely assume that the author of this scale hadn't made any statistical analysis of this to support his claim. However, this doesn't mean that it is irrelevant. The scaling may or may not be wrong, but what matters is the thought that a scale was made to help people who might be suspecting themselves of gambling addiction to better assess and cure their addiction if confirmed. The essence is already there and would just need a few tweaks especially on how each intensity level is tied.

I suggest that the author ask for help from a statistician perhaps or from a mathematician. This kind of awareness is beneficial and may be backed by the government for implementation. That means they may allocate funding in order to publicize this and inform a bigger locale. You might even get compensated for making this.

I'm still at level 0 since I'm always preoccupied with a lot of things IRL, especially my dissertation and my business. There was once a time wherein I would just gamble and gamble every single day since I'm not doing anything important as of those moments. I consider myself to be at level 1-3 during those times and thankfully it never progressed after I have had the biggest win in my life. Right now, I still gamble whenever I have the time, not for the win but mainly for the entertainment and for the feel of playing once more.

You must need 50 hrs per day to fulfill your gambling needs.
This was spot on the biggest threat because you are not aware of time you spent gambling. I know that that the hours stated was an exaggeration but think about it that can really happen when you are gambling, you lose track of time which is the biggest mistake rather than the money you lost.
Addicted gamblers forget about everything, they wanted to keep playing and keep trying their luck to win without any further target amount of winning or losing from the bankroll that they are using. Those people who are engaged too much from gambling don't know how to track time, they are just going to keep on playing till the last cent of their money.

Yes, I just wonder how OP is able to compose this much accurately. I believe he must be a gambler and got addicted to it because few of his statements are not clear to me. But, I read them for twice and thrice then I slowly start getting his point. The description of most levels are what we will feel when we get addicted. I am not a regular gambler hence it was too hard for me to realize the real interpretation of them.

Honestly, I am into level zero because I do stay away from gambling for years. I guess OP must add few more explanation for most of the levels so that people like me, may get more clearly about gambling addictions. It must be another good topic to spread awareness on gambling addictions so that this community may work on preventing it.

My level now is level 0 because I use to gamble to have fun and enjoy my free time. I saw from my friends that they are playing gambling many times in a week, and I don't want to be like them. I don't have so much money to spend on gambling, and I prefer to withdraw the money or save it in my account. I realize that playing gambling can take more time and money because once we involve in gambling games, we can feel fun and that can attract us to playing gambling longer than the other people.

all of those levels needs an imediate treatment so that the problem wont worsen at the future

Indeed. And I assume that is the problem why we are having a hard time quitting gambling addiction because we act too late. We always says "maybe later" having in mind that it is too soon to call ourselves addicted to gambling, but it is better to be safe than sorry, always. We don't need those levels to define what should we do because in the first time we try gambling, that is the time when we should be aware that we might get addicted on it and we need to deflect that action.

So the first thing that we should keep in our mind is that, we always have to assess ourselves or take precautions once we started something highly addictive to make ourselves stay in the safe zone.

Gambling addiction is a mystery because you may not realize that you are getting addicted or even after severely got addicted.

Let us try to find how safely we have been into gambling so far.

Level 1 to level 3: (beginning levels)
1. New gambling ideas flashes in your mind even you are too busy with your studies or work or with friends/family.
2. Already lost in hundreds still you are strongly believing to recover them by innovating new strategy.
3. Made $50 then why not $100 or $500.

Level 0:
Gamble while gamble and may forget it for months. Gamble only with friends and gambling is not an option to kill boredom.

I can say that I have a level 0 and level 1 to 3 but most of the time I am on level 0 I think my level is manageable and pose no problem at all with my family and my work, this should be the level of those who do not have money enough to gamble, don't force your way if you do not have enough money to play, or you will become a compulsive gambler.

Level 1-3 to be honest I want to build my own gambling site with my own games.
starting with your own games?you mean there are no Old games?that is very hard mate because people tend to play with their favorite gambling games.
I could also say that there are times that I would be so greedy even when I already have a good profit in my hand it would be hard to stop.
that is normal for a gambler to look for another higher winnings even when they are already having enough in hands.
