Well I'd say that a lot of those descriptors are wildly inaccurate bro.
It is just a wildly versed treatise on how we can classify gamblers in groups to see their addiction levels. Maybe in future a clinical classification will be made in similar terms. So dont shoo the OP like that. Cheesy

It's quite possible to plan to be a professional gambler, and even be a professional gambler and not be in debt.
While it seems possible, in reality many professional gamblers no longer play. They stake money on newer players like Poker staking and they understand the promotions that casinos give them and thus visit the casinos for a paid visit.

Quote
Likewise, it's often possible to be warned about having a gambling issue, when actually you're a profitable player making an above-average income.
The profits wont be for long if one is playing continuously and that includes breaks in between. The more you play the more your losing chances are.

Level 0.

I was wondering where was the option of just gambling for the sake of gambling and no other goal. The level 1 to 3 already seemed way too crazy for me as a person who doesn't gamble addictively, plus, I still use my brain, like, I still have a touch of common sense with me.

I'm pretty sure Levels 1 and above would only be achieved if you actually think of gambling as a sort/way to earn money, which is not really its purpose (at least, for me that is). Sure, money is involved and all, but gamblings are in a sense games right? Bets are made to add that taste that other games can't give it, and increasing it adds more intensity towards that taste. I've bet big amounts and small amounts here and there, but I never considered the idea that I must take them back. Those bets were made to add spice, or at least I got carried away by the intense feeling of playing against someone.

I've arrived at level 9 addiction before and that kind of experience is very hard to deal with, That's the time that I got a deep realization about myself and my environment. Changed my life slowly by reducing the gambling activities and controlling myself on every game I play by putting limits into the wager I do every game. I am proud of myself that I lower the level from level 9 to level 2 of addiction based on the criteria we based.

You should be proud of yourself and should gain admiration this is such an achievement,it's so hard to break that level 9 addiction probably the worst situation a gambler than can be in, it takes a very strong character to realized that and make a big turn around, you should create a thread and tell us how you did it.

I can not imagine what I will do if I am at level 9 addiction. I don't know if my family will warn me or still care with me since, in level 9, there is a big addiction to gambling. But you are so lucky because, finally, you can realize about yourself, and you can change your life by reducing your time in gambling. That is very good for you that you can lower the level, and you have the experience to become addicted to gambling so you can tell and share your story to other people which will give them a lesson not to depend on gambling, and don't spend too much money in gambling.

There are so many players out there who are losing the control on gambling and maybe because they are already addicted on it.
I would say that controlling emotions and the desire not to continue gambling is a very difficult thing to do if there is no reason. Everyone has different levels of addiction in gambling and if gambling addiction has damaged and disrupted physical and social and family activities then it is time to think of ways to reduce addiction.

I am sure that every addict knows how to reduce his addiction to gambling, but they dont do it for various reasons. Only awareness will make addicts reduce or stop gambling. As long as they are able to control their emotions and finances, the negative effects of gambling may not so felt by a gambler.

Im in the beginner's level only and Im happy to say that Im very addcited gambling before but I minimize it and recover to stop being addicted. Actually there is no level in gambling addiction as long as you know your limitation you can still playing.

I hope the addcition level of many players is not worst but we know too that many of the players are the addiction level ia very high and spending more time and more money in the gambling.
It is good that you have been able to control your gambling addiction because this is one of the very hard thing to lose about. There are so many players out there who are losing the control on gambling and maybe because they are already addicted on it.
In my case I have been able to manage my gambling addiction at the right time because before I became so much addicted on it I was able to stop and stabilize it because I realized that gambling may eventually be a problem to me once I have been so much addicted on it. I am glad that I didn't go at the point where I need to sustain my gambling addiction and took money from a bad activity.

This is very important for us not to exceed the average limit as a good gambler between 0-1 level range if we are a gamble.
The stated OP was definitely right, reaching a high level of addiction and the reason that we probably have a miserable life and broke our family just because of gambling. In general of this outcome is we need full control over gambling and we should temper our greediness that eventually human has.

Level 1-3 to be honest I want to build my own gambling site with my own games.
I could also say that there are times that I would be so greedy even when I already have a good profit in my hand it would be hard to stop.
According to me, you have a good plan and its not greed at all. But if you will let yourself be greedy it will make you lose. So gamble but in limit and making your own gambling site needs money' awareness, skills and proper time so be with all this then you can be rich in gambling yet I am not addicted but I felt I love gambling and spend half of my day in the casino.S

Gambling addiction is a mystery because you may not realize that you are getting addicted or even after severely got addicted.
Gambling addiction is like gaming addiction. I'm a gamer and at the same time, I'm not addicted into gambling since I can control my playing time but there are some gamers out there who are playing most of their time and not doing anything even eating or sleeping as long as they are playing and the problem is they don't realize it too. Their mind has been put into a state where their day will not be completed without playing. Same goes with gambling. They will not stop until they don't get what they want and that is profits.

Level 0:
Gamble while gamble and may forget it for months. Gamble only with friends and gambling is not an option to kill boredom.

This is my level when I gambled but fortunately, I stopped gambling already.

Level 0 and level 1. Gambling is not a thing I do for regular daily activities.
you should be on level 0 only because you said you dont gamble regularly   .

Quote
I have stopped that and I only whenever I feel like and if I don't win I move on till another next impulse day. Anytime I win I also.find how to win more with little stakes.
you mean you play gambling whenever you like , that means you are prone to addiction because what if you feel you need play gambling all the time . your qualified for more levels of addiction then not just level 0 and 1  . add in the fact that when you win your looking forward for more wins but your other statement condratics it because you said when you loose you will stop playing  .

your situation is i think confusing mate  . you need to clear that out so that you can verify if what exact level of addiction your in , so that youl know if you need treatment already or not .

Luckily my addiction level didn't get rise into level 4 to 6, I've only stayed at level 1 to 3 because even though I meet crypto gambling at the early stage I still prioritize my studies. And as time goes by it drop to level 0 where I only used to play just for fun and relieve my boredom. I often play gambling twice a month when I felt to. Probably, I never ended up being a gambling addict because I focus much to earn via this forum, participating in some campaign and I found out that it was not all go in vain.

To be honest I think I'm at level 0. I often do betting only with my friends for fun but gambling isn't always what I do when I have free time. I mostly spend my time with school, work, and personal life. So basically, I don't have enough time for gambling because it's my least priority. But before I think I had reached beginning levels. Before, I give time for gambling even though I'm quite busy and as a gambler, it's normal to believe that you can get back what you have lost. But right now, I'm more focused on my top priorities so I guess I'm back at zero. I can barely handle everything because I'm too busy and my time is occupied by the things I need to do.
I'm also aware of what gambling addiction can do so I don't even want to reach higher levels than the beginning level because it will be too hard to handle it.

I would tell that my gambling addiction is on level 1.
I don't address my addiction based on the money I have made from money but from the money that I have lost. I don't gamble a lot of money this is why I haven't gain a lot of money. I try to keep a balance on my bets.

I would say that I was in the level 7 once, I have a high paying job, but it seems that I'm not contented, did not save but usually spend time in the gambling casino's around my place. Until the time that I lost my job, lost my business, and almost lost my family as well.

But I have amend my ways in the last three years, no more many hours in gambling, and just play to have some fun. And I just gamble what I can afford to lose.
I rank my self as a semi-biginner gambler because  I makes enough to supplement my income, but doesn't earn full-time living through gambling. I know my limit when to stop or continue, even sometimes I lose still I can handle my loses. I always think what is my goal everytime I do gambling and have plan how much money to spend before i play.

You must need 50 hrs per day to fulfill your gambling needs.
This was spot on the biggest threat because you are not aware of time you spent gambling. I know that that the hours stated was an exaggeration but think about it that can really happen when you are gambling, you lose track of time which is the biggest mistake rather than the money you lost.

I think it is the opposite.

Gamblers don't usually track the time but they do check at their balances every time. Gamblers tend to also calculate their next bet or following bets based on their money left. At that point, I think you really need a professional to help you. I think there should be a level above 10 where there are no other options in their life but just to gamble and spend their money on it.

From level 5 to level 2 to day  Smiley I am happy that bit by bit I am lowering my addiction on gambling. What I do is I am lowering every week the number of hours/days that I am playing, even with friends or solo. Everything that is too much will cause you bad thing and also remember that gambling is not good if it gives you any kind of problem. Just a tip even playing for fun is kind of addictive, so if you can control yourself then good to you, as long as you can control your self you will get no problem playing  Smiley
