If I recall I got to know gambling when I was still in school and of course it was mistake but everything has happened and there is no point in regretting it, I have felt many bitter experiences but it is also lesson and picture that will always be remembered so as not to repeat all those mistakes when in gambling.

It would be very sad if now there are so many underage children who have known and fallen into gambling activities, we as older people and have more experience must somehow provide direction and advice to them even though it is not certain that it will be listened to and done, but at least we can provide little benefit by informing them that gambling from an early age will be dangerous for their future and it is really very detrimental to yourself.

Personally, I got my first gambling experience in adulthood, after the age of 18. These were advanced binary options on a British website. This site still exists, although it has undergone a rebranding. I was naively hoping to make money there, lol. But now the age of the first acquaintance with cryptocurrency and gambling has become much younger. I've seen preschoolers who actively go online and play free games there. But surely someone will be playing paid games soon. This is the reality of today. Modern gamblers can be very young.

He's a school dropout, jobless, and claim to have lost over $8000 to gambling ever since he started, he's into crypto, so yeah, he said he plays mostly on crypto casinos online.

We've discussed extensively about underaged gambling on this board, but today, I was very surprised coming across this teenager who is already ruining his life with gambling at such a young age, I felt pity for him and very angry with him at the same time...
I asked if he has any investment in crypto or else where, he said no, that he is always gambling with any money comes his way... Is this a way to a good life?

Is there any benefit that comes with starting gambling at a very young age?
He's still 14 years old so he feels that he is on a state of a life where he can just "YOLO" every money that he has because at the end of the day, he still has his parents that will support him. We know that this isn't sustainable though, but with that young age, he expects something from his family that's why he's focusing on gambling hoping to make more money.

Yes, he's ruining his life like other gamblers out there especially those who lost that much, but there's nothing that we can do against them because maybe, that's their way of making themselves happy. Don't expect any type of investment from a 14-year-old kiddo as well, and hey, don't be angry with him because that's his decision to gamble all his money. Don't stress out yourself. As for the benefits from him, the only benefit comes when he wins money on gambling and since you said that he isn't then there's no benefit from him at all.

At what age did you start gambling and how was the experience?
I've been gambling since my high school days, but that was offline gambling. The time that I tried online gambling was when I graduated from College IIRC. Experience? Bad because I lost my money, but I learned how to control myself from there hence, I'm not spending that much money on gambling.

It's actually bad to gamble at a very tender age because it makes people lose concentration especially when they knows that through gambling they could hit possibilities and changed their lives at any given time without having to over stress their lives to achieve such goals in real life processes. You know what seriously makes people to start gambling at such age is as a cause of wanting to make some specific amount though gambling. Some could be through friends who are into gambling and he often hears about the information and the amount they often talks about, this could be a major things that stirred him up to start gambling.

He is still a child because he is not yet 17 years old but has fallen into the world of gambling, and what is even sadder is that he is addicted, dropped out of school and is also unemployed, which in my opinion at the age of 12-15 years old cannot be said to have to work. And he must be helped immediately and return to school so that he can enjoy his childhood by having fun, playing with friends his age.

I entered the world of gambling if I'm not mistaken at the age of 17 and gambled with friends using cards that sometimes used small amounts of money and sometimes were given challenges or something like that if they lost or the value was lower.

If he doesn't work how can he get money to gamble especially with the amount of $ 8000 it sounds unreasonable for a child who is only 12 years old, I wonder how he can get that much money to gamble or did he steal his parents' money then run away and become destroyed as it is now. Children who are introduced to gambling at a young age will clearly have an impact on their future and this is evident from what you said he clearly became an addict at an early age, I am really concerned to see children who choose to gamble rather than go to school.

If I myself gamble when I have graduated from school and have a job, when I was in school I never thought about gambling because in my knowledge gambling is a bad game.

You may likely want to find out why I am asking this question, well, today, I came across someone, a younger teenager who should be around 12 or 13, but he claimed to be 14, we got talking like we friends not minding I am very much older than him (my first daughter is 8 already)..

He's a school dropout, jobless, and claim to have lost over $8000 to gambling ever since he started, he's into crypto, so yeah, he said he plays mostly on crypto casinos online.

That is a damn very young age 12-13 should be in school today, I mean he is drop out as you said but where is he's parents? Are they gone they should care with their son in my opinion, even tho he's into crypto with income from it, school is the best to look a friend a girldfriend and other fun stuff.

Gamble is fun but he said he lost over 8K that's lot of money and you can literally make another money with that amount.

Gamble at a very young age is a big NO for me because our brain is still developing and when you get addicted at very young age it will hard to stop on any thing eg. porn, smoke, alcohol and even gambling.

Please tell him to contine school and when he really into crypto thing try other place like DeFi and other and turned money into money in the much safer way.

"Is this a way to a good life?" Are you even serious?

Anyway, I started gambling when I was very young. I think I was already betting when I was 10. But back in the day, there weren't serious gambling platforms available for us. And we don't have much money, too. So, it's mostly games of coins. We would play with our daily pocket money at school.

There were also those occasional fair where we can also place small bets on color games and other betting games. Young kids are allowed there.

Xup ladies gents, it's a genuine question..

Is there any benefit that comes with starting gambling at a very young age?
There is no benefit in starting gambling at early age. Those that started so early only end up becoming master of addiction/ deptor. I could remember my cousin brother who started gambling at a tender age now he finds it difficult to stay at home due to his Level of commitment in different Dept from different casino. He usually gamble above his discretion and forced to keep any of his belongings before leaving the casino hall. He has sold almost all his property due to gambling including his clothes. All this was as a result of early gambling from Little age. Now he is addicted and leaving it becomes the hardest work ever to do. The more he tries to stop the more he keeps gambling.

Gambling does not considering on age, because I can see that even a child from 9 to 10 years are involved, once they just have a little knowledge how to perform and able to stale that’s all, but starting a gambling in a young age is very bad; those that start gambling right from their young age they get easily addicted to gambling then adults people’s since those people will not take their own personal.

The reason why numbers of people are very much is because some that are jobless, and that’s those are already in the gambling system for a while there the one brings those under age to gambling.
Yes, when I was 7 years old, I could play slots and digital horse racing. I was happy when my bets won, but if I lost, it was nothing because I earned the money at a young age by doing garbage disposal. I did not ask for money from my parents because they do not usually give it to me except when I went to school.

However, there are no minors allowed in physical casinos these days; you must be 18 or older to gamble there.
But in online casino they can easily access them and bypass the warning. Luckily, I am not addicted to gambling, I only do it for fun, and if I lose money, I stop.

Is there any benefit that comes with starting gambling at a very young age?

I started playing lottery and bingo with my family when I was a child, perhaps about 12 years old, though I don't know whether that counts, because the money being put at stake was the money of my parents and not mine, they invited me to partake in gambling with them because it was regarded as a social activity much of my family used to do.
I started wagering my own money when I was 20 years old and I discovered crypto gambling, I mostly spent much time in faucets and casinos with faucets integrated on them, so I could use that like balance I accumulated to gamble and sometimes deposit a bit, in the case I grew inpatient. I started with dices and to this day, it continues to be the game in which I wager the most, only followed by blackjack and Plinko. I try to avoid crash/aviator games.

Its just awful to read about a 13-year old apparently gambling thousands of dollars away.  If this story is true, then this teenager is clearly addicted and its messing up his life.  As parents, we gotta be on top of things and discuss the risks of gambling with our children.  Also, parents should set rules for device usage and watch what theyre doing on the internet.

But I do wonder, where did the kid get that much money to gamble in the first place? If he really got it from his parents, then they are as guilty as he is.  Ive seen it happen time and time again. Rich kids who have everything but love and attention. Their parents are too busy chasing money to actually be there for them, so they try to make up for it with material things.  Its a recipe for disaster.

What good will gambling do at such a young age? By the way, how does a kid at that age find $8000? The story seems quite interesting. I remember my first gamble was on sports, but I made the bet with my school allowance, it was about the price of a meal, maybe less, I lost, then I tried again and won, and I just remember taking a break for a long time after that.

The only explanation that a 12/13 yo can have that much money is if his parents were rich. But then again, what kind of parents would give $8000 to their kid? Especially one that has dropped out of school.

Plus I don’t think you need to specify he’s jobless. If he had a job, that would child labor and illegal.

Nothing.

He doesn’t even have a source of income yet and he already knows how to spend his money which is not very wisely. Can you just imagine when he starts working and earning? Where would his money go?

He has been exposed to gambling far way too early. I knew of gambling at the young age but I was not allowed to handle such amount of money. This is dangerous and I can tell that he would be in deeper.

There is no advantage in starting gambling from a very young age, but it can be a life lesson for him when he grows up and realizes his actions, but it still depends on his personality, whether he changes or gets carried away by the situation.

In fact, where I live, no employer will ever employ a 12-year-old child. If someone hides and gives employment to that child, then that organization will be found guilty under the Child Labor Act. 12 years of age can never be a suitable age for employment rather this age is the time of human development of the child. If a child of this age gets addicted to gambling by excluding studies and sports, it will be very harmful to the society and the family. Also, for a child so young to earn $8,000 gambling is not normal from any point of view, his intellect is still immature so it is unbelievable that a casino would allow him to gamble.

Op I'm still trying to understand what the storyline is all about because having a discussion with a 12 -14 years old kid who's already into gambling sounds so strange to me, I don't know if there's a country that accepts minors to gamble and I also believe they kids can go as far as getting access to the Internet at tender ages and they might start gambling with their phones but at what level was the kid able to realize such amount of money that was used to gamble and how well did you confirm his story because for a kid of his age to be a school drop out says a lot about his family, kindly confirm your information about this kid again so that you can make us to understand better.

I started gambling when I was above 18 and I was already working to make my own money, at first I was scared of gambling because my parents were against it but winning a reasonable amount changed the whole story and I now have the freedom to gamble any amount I want to do long as I don't cry for help after losing money.

The first question is, where would that kid get the money? $8000 seems not an easy amount to earn, let alone waste it to gambling. That amount is like a few months' net salary, and then here's a kid who would willing to lose it in gambling without any hesitation.
Well, it's not right to get angry at him, maybe he has rich parents. Kids doesn't know the worth of money until their the ones earning it.
Me? I started gambling when I was around 14, but that was just a small amount. I'd spend $1-2 dollar in the local carnival.
You have a nice question at the start of your write up and also a nice explanation too. Gambling having a quiet general age restriction of 18+ send a very strong and valid message. Some one that isn't mature enough to make the right decision for himself especially in financial aspects isn't fit to gamble.  Firstly Teens and age groups below 18 are not financially independent to be allowed to gamble.

The money you spend on gambling has to be properly managed or else gambling addiction could be the next result. Some teens don't do any work and rely on money given to them probably by their parents and gambling with such money would be a wrong habit.

Although I would like to highlight the income earned in this case which I think is too large but ultimately the focus I would like to discuss is about the vulnerable age that is done when gambling.

By looking at this, of course, the concern is when children at an age who are not supposed to do gambling even make this an everyday game which in my opinion is too difficult to digest in the current conditions. It is true that gambling can be done by anyone but on the other hand for teenage children like this it feels too risky if it continues to be allowed without adult monitoring.
Apart from gambling in the end must have logical thinking and still maintain common sense, things like this must also be done responsibly and in a more mature way so that we avoid addiction and often we also know that adults alone have a lot of trouble doing this and addiction is unavoidable how young children do things that endanger them like this.
