You should describe your statement, so as not to cause confusion for the readers.  What kind of attack will threaten the bitcoin network?

I think the attack on bitcoin isn't something new. Threats have been coming here and there on bitcoin but none.hasn't been successful because of the peculiarity and nature of bitcoin. However, that doesn't mean the threats have ceased. I think its time cryptocurrency in general tightens it's security and work hard towards achieving that.
A lot of attacks have happened even in the previous years but still bitcoin has remained strong. So this attack is just the same before, not going to break bitcoin either. But still bitcoin should be develop more so that the community here will continue to support it.

Who are those planning such attack on bitcoin. Let them review what will happen than blabbing from afar. Bitcoin has come to stay and no attack render to it that it can't scale through
Bitcoin has gained already a lot of achievements and even reaches high peaks too far from where it being started. But along with it are those different attacks just to let it down. So this attack you have been saying is something not new to us. Bitcoin will still get over it as it has been through thick and thin and up to the present, bitcoin is still fully alive.
So attacks like that have at least happened and bitcoin can still overcome them and actually, bitcoin is able to continue to grow better. Whatever attacks are made at least that will happen and because bitcoin has grown big and become stronger I don't think there is more to worry about, right.

You can't attack Bitcoin by just using computing power. Any attack will come from bankers accumulating most of the available coins, and using them for their own inter-company transfers. This will make some of us rich, but inhibit the use of Bitcoin as a general currency imho.
I agree with this one. That is not the way Bitcoin can be attacked. By using sophisticated high powered computers and other computing devices through hackers and the like, I think that was TS wanted to tell us. Some groups also use FUD as an attack but all these things are not worth it as fo this time. What are their motives? To hack and steal? I think Bitcoin is not that easy to attack because of the secured environment and nature of the Blockchain technology.

Yes, attack on Bitcoin with super computers is not very likely. Hackers will aim on Bitcoin but still not in such super organized way with super sophisticated equipement, this sounds more like attacks that are sponsored by someone.
Also, I think that banks are not such enemies of Bitcoin as some are trying to show. Banks are also given some kind of exaggerated influence on cryptocurrencies that they actually don't have.

Somewhere, a group is preparing an attack on Bitcoin. It will come around the next big pump. The attackers will have an exponentially large advantage of computing power. If the network isn't compromised, it will be severely damaged.

do you mean market attacks or attacks on bitcoin secrets ...? if that is true, it may not be notified to the public and will not be spread to the ears of other bitcoin users except their groups, if you hinder the pace of bitcoin it might be possible.

This will not happen. To have sufficient computing power (to make a 51% attack) there are necessary quantum computers having sufficient power.  This (quantum computers having sufficient power) will happen in 10 to 20 years from now.

Then to attack the bitcoin network it could be attacking the money of 5% to 10% of the world population. Would you do this? I would not do this.

What they will have to gain? If  this would happen, this would simply destroy the money of 10% of the people in this world.
The is a lot of advancement in quantum computing I am quite sure someday they will probably deploy this technology to hack, attack bitcoin blockchain to prove the efficacy of their breakthrough, well I can predict the possible outcome I knew for now blockhain is unhackable and secured I believed this feature will remain intact for irrespective of any attack.

The outside world should learn to develop themselves to cope up with the fast advancement of technology. Bitcoin is already making advanced steps. The world outside is slow, they are left behind. And now they are attacking Bitcoin because it is strange and untimely to them? And now another round of attack is coming? I say let them come. The community of supporters behind Bitcoin is more solid and larger now. And if they survived strong attacks in the past with a very small community, how much nowadays when it has already the backing of individuals and institutions?

I think that attempts to crack a Bitcoin network happen often, but none of them was successful. This is due to the peculiarity of the blockchain network and the fact that Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency at the moment that is truly decentralized.

I do not think that this will happen, because even using all the technical resources of the world, hackers will need more than one life to crack Bitcoin.  But even if theoretically this happens, then in the entire cryptocurrency market you will need to put up a cross and forget about all of your assets.

I hope this does not happen soon, the current encryption, has already suffered some damage related to network attacks, this time should be more prepared, even nothing is impossible.  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin prices will not be easy to move, there must be good news and a trigger to be able to make bitcoin prices rise because the price of bitcoin can have a movement when there is increased demand.
This attack is possible, we saw the recent pump for no reason and after a day it drops again. I also believe that group of people are here not to ruin bitcoin but to create more money through bitcoin, they can do it any time for sure. We have to protect our own wallet, that’s the least we can do if ever something happen just don’t panic.

Bitcoin is not owned by the public or private organization. Actually, it was not approved by anyone. Cryptocurrency was created by Satoshi Nakamoto - a pseudonym representing anonymous people or groups - who first published a 'white book' that explained the basics of Bitcoin and how it should be applied, like what leads to work, is strong, decentralized and distributed like today. It also created the crypto florescent market, where cryptocurrency coexist, applying the same or slightly different version of Bitcoin technology, each trying to find a place and support. This is something new a system provided to revolutionize the worldwide financial system that is not supported by government or large institutions, is actually made by a handful of people and validated by many people. How to control negative protection such as government censorship? Bitcoin cannot be faked, forged or duplicated under attack

Winding down.

Another attack that will surely fail. There are lots of people attacking and doing so many things to bring down bitcoin includes cracking the blockchain (which never succeeds), spreading FUDS (maybe this post can be considered as one) and manipulating the market (which keeps in recovering). Well, I guess whatever this attack is, it will not succeed to fail bitcoin.
Bitcoin has remain firm and strong despite all the attacks tha happened to it way back in the previous years. But instead of ruining bitcoin, it has even helped to be more famous not just in one country but to a few big countries. Now a new attack has been said again, let's just wait and see if it can really destroy bitcoin who has been here for ten years long.

I think this is not logical if this is true.

1. Why should a attack be declared? The dog that really bites is not the one who barks out loud.

2. On bear season? Oh come on, why would you waste your money buying an extremely expensive sophisticated supercomputer just to attack Bitcoin, I guess it is not worth-it.

3. The percentage to have a successful attack is so low. What if it not successful? All their efforts will be useless.

This is another spreading of FUD attempt.

If the attack generates positive things to pump bitcoin there will definitely be a lot of support from everyone and everyone will definitely be waiting for it.
but if the attack is negative to destroy bitcoin it's not easy because many people will protect it strongly.
and there is a lot of bad news about crime plans in bitcoin but so far bitcoin has been well maintained and increasingly popular and strong.
The attack on bitcoin is of course a lot that aims to bring down, at least reduce bitcoin enthusiasts. These attacks are often expressed by very influential people such as the president or top businessmen in the world where their opinions often become references in the decision-making of developing countries.
But until now the attack was not a collapse of bitcoin, because the survival of bitcoin is not determined by who it is but is determined by the bitcoin community itself. As long as the bitcoin community is still trading, the bitcoin will not be able to die.
