You Folks made a very nice looking, organized, and informative front page.

edit; guess that is called an OP? not sure, but I like it anyway.

Thank you! Yes it's called an OP (Original Post).

We are preparing for some impressive news....

Any hints as to what's coming?

My guess would be they are still tracking the old wallet, see this message:https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.13870898

You may be right. According to them total Auroracoins = 13,113,113 instead of 7,791,284.

They must also have not deducted the Burned pre-mine coins then, I'll drop them a message... TNX for noticing!

I'm wondering why Auroracoin hashrate (see here) has fallen down for the last few days.

Probably an error at bitinfocharts.com, because aurpool.com alone has been steady mining at over 1Gh constantly:

Average net hash rate has been over 4Gh last couple of days:

exciting news.

I've been approached by a film maker to make a short to medium length movie about crypto currency and Auroracoin and my character as a "crypto warrior"

I can tell you that part of the theme of the film will be the polarity of crypto currencies and terrorism and how the world is actually caught in the crossfire of these two opposing forces.

I'm talking about Balduro here, not price speculation.

The 2nd of february saw a turning point minimum in the moving average price of Auroracoin.

(image removed)

As of today 21st Feb the minimum looks to be a true minimum and the average price is predictably moving back up.

In case you missed the first couple times we mentioned it, here's the link for the market speculation thread:

Please keep this kind of discussion there.

its been so long since ive looked at another coin.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Are you seriously asking for tips on other coins in this thread?  This is not the place for that.  Please stop treating this thread as your personal posting ground for whatever pops into your head at the moment or promoting whatever random Facebook page you create on any given day.

It's getting old.

This coin back from past?

Yes, and the population of Iceland is from the future.

We will be having an open Auroracoin meeting on Sunday at 11 o'clock in Engjateigur 3, 3rd floor (Reykjavik). Anyone interested can join us for a cup of coffee and chat about the project.

Damn, flights from Kopenhagen are AUR 11625. That's still a bit expensive... maybe next year when the Auroracoin economy is rolling Wink

Copenhagen is my favorite city on earth. I know some super nice Danes and of course I want to be "distorted" this year Cheesy
A trip to Reykjavík seams like a natural follow up...

sound like a good plan for this summer!

when's the best time to visit Iceland?

Depends on what you like to do and how tolerant you are of cold. Mid July is the best time weather wise but also the time everybody are on vacation and you are 10 times more likely to meet other tourists than Icelanders.

my personal favorite time to travel in Iceland is august to October but that is off course because of hunting related matters.

Maby write what you like to do and we can recommend a time and a place Smiley
I bet they have some similar kind of monsters in Iceland, lurking around.
Maybe even bigger ones  Roll Eyes
