Like I said earlier, the coin specifics don't even work for a global adoption plan.  We would need to rethink that all again if we were even thinking about pushing it out of country.  I'm pretty sure that's not what our original goal was, or even Balduro's original goal.

Yes, enthusiasm is great, but is it misplaced?  Again, this is the line between asset and liability.

At this point, I'm going to say that we just disagree on the goal for AUR and move on.

These coins are CENTRALIZED in the hands of a few.

Auroracoin is the most DECENTRALIZED coin on the market right now. And its airdrop design was built exactly for this purpose.

If you were serious about a decentralized international adoption for a coin you would take the easiest route to mass adoption. This route was the kennitala, one of or if not the only online identification system of its kind that can be used by a crypto-currency for distribution.

The most Decentralized coin is the most valuable and Auroracoin is that coin. Auroracoin quickly showed the world a hint of its potential when it became the most valuable coin on the planet after bitcoin.

Auroracoin is the closest thing the world has to a viably decentralized democratic system for a one world government, brought to us from the home of the worlds oldest practicing parliament: Iceland!

A decentralized system cannot be represented by any one person or organization. The Icelandic Aurora coin Foundation is not the only representative of Aurora coin. The development team and everyone who holds Aurora coin also represent the currency and so everyone's authority on Auroracoin has to be treated as equal.




If every country had a Kenitalla then the target would have been much larger. 330 000 is not the ONLY target, its the max limit of people Auroracoin could get to.

FINALLY... there can never be one target for a decentralized currency and the targets of the foundation and the dev team are not the only targets for Auroracoin.

The Icelandic Auroracoin foundation will share a place with the South African Auroracoin foundation one day. Their goals will be the same: a truly DECENTRALISED crypto-currency.

So my question to anyone who has a target for Auroracoin is:

What would Aurora coins distribution look like when you have achieved your goal?

Adamastor, you know what make Aur so special ?   The target is ''only'' 330 000 ppl. Almost all the thousands of other coins have the same ''target'', the ''world'', that is, billions of ppl. Bitcoin, after years of support from countless people, thousands of related start-up, mainstream covering, etc, is not even near yet from it's target. Why would you spend your energy, enthousiasm, trying to do the same for AUR ?   Yes it is opensource. But still, being realistic is needed here, and I would not want someone to spend time, ressources and energy on a unrealistic goal. You can do so, and maybe you can get surprising result, but keep in mind that AUR target, from the start, has been the 330 000 iceland people, and every guys working in dev team focus on this goal.

I second that and have no issues with people spreading Auroracoin around the world. The foundation and the dev team will continue on the official path and will focus on Iceland.

Can I ask you why AUR over any other coin?  Is there a large Icelandic population where you are?  Why not BTC?  Or LTC?  Or any other coin who's purpose is international adoption?

At this point I feel like you don't care what we say the goal for AUR is.

Here's an even better question- do you respect the plans for the foundation and dev team's plan for working towards a financial solution for the Icelandic people, in Iceland?

African's have a huge incentive to buy auroracoins, aurora has dawned.

We're not looking for what's more profitable.  We're looking for what's right for the people of Iceland.

If you're looking for a financial solution for Africa's financial woes, why not work on a coin for Africa?  You obviously have inherent knowledge of the issues, which would make it easier for you to design a coin for the people you're trying to target with AUR.

Ultimately, I really feel like you aren't listening to the people who are now working on AUR core development, and our goals for the coin and the people of Iceland.  AUR's planned development will be national in nature, not international.  If you want to develop for AUR, please focus on development in Iceland.  That's the goal.  AUR in Iceland.
