G'morning all.

I've been given managing access of this FB AUR page :

https://www.facebook.com/auroracoins/

We will use this page as the official international FB page, while another page will be used for Iceland only (in native language).

I would like you guys to like the page and share as much as you can - and participate !  AUR have little presence out there - and I will help getting life injected a bit !

Thanks

can anyone tell me how to post a picture from my pc in a post

If you want to include a picture in a post here you need to upload it to a web space and put the url to it in the img tag.
You can use some service like photobucket.com or something similar.

Is this a garage sale site, or just an AUR buy/sell site?

I mean that any people wanting to contribute is encouraged to do so. Coding, webdevelopment, social media dev, writting, PR. We are actually 10 people working a lot on different part of the Auroracoin project. When I see what these guys have accomplished, I wonder how it would be if 10 more, or 50 more people were to jump in.

For my own part of the job, in a perfect world, i would add with pleasure :

- Auroracoin writter(s)
- Web dev
- FB pro
- Linkedit pro
- Reddit pro
- Instagram artist
- Artistic direction
- SEO geek
- Video creator

And even for people not having much time to spare, there is things to do. Share links/news on twitter, FB, forums, reddit, answers questions, post positive content everywhere, talk about Aur project within you friends/relatives etc.

We are just at the realy beginning of this new phase. We appreciate the support out there, the congratulations and all. But we will win this battle with actual labor, from a very large army of workers/helpers.

Anyone can help, and this is not a single better way to ''protect'' your investment, while be part of something very important, ''History in the making''.

I offer walking tours of cape town south africa and my marketing manager spends all day promoting me on facebook. you can see our amazing stats here: www.facebook.com/justwalksCT we reach about 4000 people every week with the content that we post on the page. O

One thing that helps is that we have two admins for the page who post content in paralell. My marketing guy spens at least 5 hours a day just on facebook, inviting himself into private groups and marketing to people in those groups. we also have trade and swap groups where people buy and sell goods on facebook.

Have you looked at running garage sales on facebook for icelanders where they can buy and sell on facebook with auros

Good post !   I like the idea of FB garage sales. I will share within the team and see if some newcomer push the idea further. What would you propose for the official Aur FB page ?
ive created several different trade and swap groups that you can admin if you like or you can create your own trade and swap groups for specific regions or neighbourhoods/villages. Ive created the following:

Iceland Trade and swap group
Iceland Trade and sell group
Iceland garage sale
Iceland auction
Reykjavik Trade and swap group
Reykjavik Trade and sell group
Reykjavik garage sale

Cryptsy Exodus is paintfully slow.
Every withdrawal is just a fraction of what i want.
And it is getting worse:

http://blockexplorer.auroracoin.eu/address/APKyGvb9fR4GB21Pe1xizb2ifhKBjqTb3P

Udate, Cryptsy still hold mine 2000+AUR as hostage, not even responding to tickets any more

I do not recommend to anyone to use Cryptsy. Instead if you have any money on Cryptsy, try to evacuate.

I can see the orderbook of the fiat exchange: https://beta.isx.is/order-book.php

So price is about 0.00012475 BTC/AUR if I do the conversion 7.5 ISK -> 0.057383 USD -> 0.00012475 BTC.

I'm having a hard time navigating the pages, can someone link a trade history and/or documentation of a public api if that exists?

Hey molecular. Sorry about the late reply, been a bit busy these past days.

Here is a link to the api documentation. Everything in the api is working except deposits and withdrawals as we changed the process a bit and the public api needs to be updated accordingly. But of course those are protected api methods that require a registered user so if anyone from Iceland is reading this, don't use it.

The url in all the examples refer to https://isx.is/api but while the exchange is in beta we have it open on https://beta.isx.is/api.
You can get all the public market info you need.
Stats, history, order book, transactions etc.

Hi Skarfur,

thanks for your reply.

I fail to get any info. The first link (isx.is/api) is a 404 (as you explained, I assume it's still offline), then beta.isx.is/api gives an empty response. I assume the api itself can be accessed there, but I'm lacking documentation to do it.

As we speak, i (we) are developing a website/blog where guys like Hlynur, Petur, Martin, Hermann, etc, will write about auroracoin, iceland, economy, etc. There will be useful stuff (how to... kind of), a some surprises.

Anyone can create new project helping grow Aur ecosystem. And i am pretty sure Aur team would be helpful if needed.

I feel honored and will work hard connecting people with what is, in my opinion, one of the best project in crypto.  Auroracoin will soon be under spotlight - for good reasons, and I am lucky to be part of it.  ''History in the Making'' is what I have in mind when working with these guys from Iceland, Netherlands, Canada, US and Austria, and I'm pretty sure they feel the same.

There is other people here wanting to participate to this journey.  Just PM me !  To achieve our goals, tens of people will be needed.  My rôle is to develop social media auroracoin channels, and I would welcome as much help as possible.  Join me on skype, slack, twitter, PM, no matter.  AUR is easy to mine, cheap to buy, and there is not a single better moment to jump in - believe me.

Yan

what do you mean when you say you welcome as much help as possible?

It's with great pleasure we can announce that Yan Crevier (Soltantgris) has accepted our offer to join our dev-team and manage all social media for Auroracoin.

We welcome Yan as our tenth member, he has shown to be very enthusiastic and resourceful in promoting our initiative. We foresee a bright future for Auroracoin and hope he will keep up with all new developments that are about to become public.

Please stay tuned, things might get busy soon...

- the Auroracoin dev team -

Great news, but shouldn´t something like this appear on the official auroracoin discussion board? auroraspjall.is?? that is fairly dead at the moment... and newcommers will never look at this thread.

If we are serious about boosting Auroracoin in Iceland we need to use the official sites I would think.

Especially after the remark from Soltantgris that he needed tens of people to educate the Icelandic population, I guess mostly people from Iceland are needed.
