Guys, I'm asking about the AIR temperature going out of the miner, not the chip temperature. It's impossible to be 80°C. If you walk close to the miner, you will get skin burn. Think about it.

My miners are pushing out 100°F, you will not get a skin burn from this.
Intake is 50°F, room is set to 72°F.
I measured the 3 I have and all 3 gave me the same results.

Thanks! This will be very useful for me when I need to choose the best place for my 4 miners when I get them.

Just started my 2 741's from minerwarez. They are brand new. For sure never used.
And less than 5 minutes after starting there was a block at kano. Hope those will be extremely lucky.

This is so cool. If I have all the resources and income, I will definitely spend it on Avalon A7 for bitcoin mining. I've also been hearing a lot of great things about bitcoin mining such as increasing financial stability for example.

At this moment, everything is still available!

My order(#1248) has just been accepted and now I'm really happy with the shipping price. The shipping of 4 miners + 1 controller to Bulgaria(in the EU) is $266,06 and this is much much better than the $2000 price in the previous batch.

Now, I will just wait for a call from FedEx when my order come in the local customs to provide the needed documents.

I repeat:
At this moment(19:18 my local time), everything is still available!

SOOOOOOOOOO I tell the community they are available and you post "Spam" yet your telling the community its available in another thread?HuhHuhHuhHuh?

You made whole new USELESSSSSSS thread! And YES, it was spam. The thread for AvalonMiner it here. The news about this miner are posted here, and no one needs a new thread just to tell us something, that in 20 minutes will not be accurate any more. This is called SPAM. If it was just a post in the current thread, it would not be a problem. But whole new thread, come on! Grow up!

By the way, can anyone tell me what is the temperature of the hot air coming out of the 741 miner?

anybody experienced with openwrt implementation from avalon?

I'm trying to install openvpn on the image, but no luck so far..

I tried to get a wlan stick working on my rasp for my Avalon.. Anybody know what to change to get the wlan stick working on openwrt?

It is not supported. Wireless is not the way to go .

I was curious about this as well.
Is it not possible to use wireless?
Currently I'm using a wireless to Ethernet converter to plug it in.  Direct wireless would surely be an upgrade over using a converter box.

Anyone else having issues with support for the past 2 months?
I have a warranty claim from before Minerwarez popped up, and it hasn't been acknowledged.

Speaking of Minerwarez, they are not honest.
They claimed many orders were cancelled due to "fraud prevention".
I contacted my bank and they specifically stated they charged my card and there were no declines made.
They later refunded the order 2 days later and then put out the "fraud" email.

What they should have said was the truth, we didn't put a quantity limit on our orders and oversold, sorry, try again next time.
Or better, we don't have enough stock, but will send out a miner as soon as stock replenishes, would you like to wait or cancel?

I have been getting better support response from bitmain, the bar doesn't get much lower than that.

i bolded what to do as their software does not support wireless.

I know you may have very robust wifi, but many people don't so canaan.io simply avoids the issue by not supporting wifi.

for sha 256 asics
i rate

spondoooiles sp tech as best service
canaan.io
bitmain

sptech went bust

so for  me canaan has been a bit better then bitmain.

I use 2 different power distribution boards on my PSU's:

I use two 750 watt psu's per miner with no issues:

I am using four of these two on each miner http://www.ebay.com/itm/hp-512327-B21-511778-001-750W-cs-hot-plug-power-supply-g6-g7-506821-/121586023981?epid=1542955798&hash=item1c4f177e2d:g:avwAAOSwax5Yrfcy

I use these beakout boards http://www.ebay.com/itm/DPS-1200FB-QB-6-Pin-A-Power-Supply-Breakout-Board-Adapter-For-Ethereum-Mining-/202014264431?hash=item2f08fd0c6f:g:XokAAOSwRIRZiaaT

and used these plugs from parallelminer, they make the best cables/plugs http://www.parallelminer.com/product/24-inch-16awg-6-pin-male-to-6-pin-male-pcie-power-cable/

I had made best offers for both of the ebay ones on top and got them for a little cheaper, I also ordered two extra PSU's since they where cheap enough.

I have been running my miners for about 2 weeks and no issues, the PSU's are warm to the touch and voltage offset to 0.

I found this being the cheapest way to power the Avalon miner for me at 120v.

This is what I use

Do we need Avalon Controller for the miner???

a Raspb 3 will just be fine..
Thanks, Any recommendation for the power supply?

i use 2 amps.

i meant power supply for the miner. anyway, thanks for your answer

I use 2  x  https://minerwarez.com/collections/psus/products/2400-watt-psu-with-breakout-boards-and-pci-e-cables  for powering 3  x 741..  You can find good deals on http://www.parallelminer.com/product-category/power-supply-kit/ (make sure that you order the breakerboard also).

You can use 2 x 700W PSU or 1 x 1300W PSU to power one 741 as well (standard PC PSU), but is more expensive.

I'm just wondering did they calculate your shipping?

I'm a little chapped that after 2 orders that they managed I know have to sort out my own shipping and customs.
I am really hoping for a Canadian distributor, I won't be ordering  through minerwarez again so I hope it isn't to long.
If they had atleast posted it on the site beforehand that wouldn't have been so bad but to find out a minute before you purchase that they are treating international different and that shipping has to be handled by the purchaser, it sucks. I bought anyway but have no idea what to expect as far as my additional costs now.
