lets face it coins shot way up and they are holding back gear due to the 4300 usd a coin price.  It is no more complicated then that.

at least they do not have the coin and as coin goes up and up I have been cashing some I sold some today{.100} at 4287 a coin.

I am sure thats what they are doing, but why not be honest about it? Thats the whole reason i bought Canaan equipment, to have an experience with a company better than BITMAIN...

I agree it sucks but as they are not holding the coin in my case I sold some at the high price.

This type of sales tactic on thier part is not good but less worse then bitmain.

I am speaking to those that they did not take funds.

Bitmain  took the funds of the s-9 and are not going to ship the s-9 until mid September.  That is worse method.

I am annoyed since bitmain has yet to take the repair for a dead s-9 board and avalon has yet to take my money for this gear.  about 12 or 13th for the two deals.

on the good side today I got another 1080ti which is hashing and earn money as I type.  I am up to 15 1080 ti's

WTH....who's Steve?  And I'm on the east coast...what's with the time??

Lol, I know a guy named Steve in FL  Tongue and if he was working for Canaan, you'd all have your miners by now!

I just got a message back after a week of waiting with an address and exchange rate which was very close to the coinbase exchange rate.  So happy the exchange rate was fair, but not so happy about the time it took.  I hope they get my shipment out today Smiley

We need more competition in the miner hardware space. I put in an order of $9k but it looks like they are not interested. They are refusing now bank transfers and want me to pay with BTC which makes no sense if like me you are buying on a company and need to deduct the hardware as an expense. First they only accepted bank transfer and no BTC and now its BTC only and no bank transfer (unless you order 60 at a time). Their whole online sales process is in fact manual, some guy needs to review the orders and provide BTC or bank account information MANUALLY for each sale. They should use some of that $43 million investment money they raised in a programmer who can code a decent checkout backend, a problem that was solved with online sales 25 years ago ....

I don't understand the issue with expensing the price of the miners if they give you an invoice which lists the price in USD.  It should be very straight forward.

I dont know how it works in your country but in mine i will get questions if I use my business account to convert first into BTC. The logic thing to do accounting wise is simply a $ bank transfer to Canaan from my business account for this invoice. That is how b2b transactions work and have worked since the invention of official currency, maybe someone should explain that to Canaan.

Hello!
Its probably a stupid question but in which BTC Wallet are u mining with your Avalon?
Is there a seperate adress for each pool u have to use for less fees or something? Or can u mine in every exchange/wallet like electrum?

Looks like Kano is all dried up for the time being, what is a good secondary pool to jump to when this happens?

Thx

I used to pool jump, ended up being less profitable for me in the long run. JMO

Totally agreed with you and would like to stay loyal to kano but right now there is a lot of bad luck.
Its been 61 hours waiting for a break for something.
I am going to try ckpool until kano normalizes again, sorry.

BTW I was able to resolve my low hashpower issue by changing power supplies. It appears that running (2) Avalon 741 on one 2400 watt power supply with voltage set to 0 and fan set at 30% is too much... so I used one 741 per 2400 watt psu and everything has smoothed out nicely. Getting 7.8 - 8.2 th/s per miner.

Would be nice if Canaan made dedicated, tested, approved, etc power supplies for their equipment... Hope you're listening Canaan...

Still waiting on order placed last sunday the 5th.  It came to 765 usd with the shipping.  I think they are ignoring my order because it was placed before the price rise.  Now coins took off and the  delay of it  is annoying. Also my freshly burnt s-9  is not getting any service as bitmain is ignoring me on that repair request.

So at the moment I am quite annoyed with Canaan.io  and with bitmain.com

Still a coin price of 4000 plus is nice to see.

Trying to sign on at the  moment  and website seems unreachable  Sad

Do you buy on canaan.io before? Is this first order here?

I see good price here for me..
also I can't find shipping info, has worldwide shipping here?
