Well I'm guessing Canaan isn't going to be responding to, nor updating, my payment ticket. Eight days has past since getting the scripted statement about "Lily will handle this issue."
I have always thought of Canaan as decent and reliable seller, this is a huge letdown  Angry

Same for me...they just stopped responding to me all together  Roll Eyes Sad...so sad
I received a note saying that my orders would be dealt with by the Florida contact, they sent that email last night EST.  I wouldn't give up quite yet.

Those are the ones I am using in a pair for each miner, 750w, board and cables.

Wouldn't it be more efficient to just use 1x 1500W HP PSU for this then? http://www.parallelminer.com/product/gpu-mining-power-supply-kit-hp-1500-watt-94-platinum/

No

Seems curt and simple and a bit wrong to leave it at the correct answer with not any explanation.

So the explanation is he has 120 volt  and the unit you mention does not use 120 volt.  it needs 208 or more volts

Apologies, I didn't know he used 120 volt, need to get some glasses apparently Cheesy

On their Website: "OUT of STOCK. Shipping Starts August 23"
They are a bit overwhelmed with all the orders atm. I got mine 2 days ago, I am sure you will get answer & shipment info from canaan soon.

they are sold out according to the website, my best guess is that there are people with open orders like you but no stock anymore

Which pools you prefere with daily/weekly payment? Kano.is?
I heard ckpool.org isn't very active and that it could take months for a single payment.
Roll Eyes
You *know* this will turn into a discussion about pools and as such this query belongs in the Pools section, NOT here...

Somebody is running (2) Avalon 741 on this PSU http://www.parallelminer.com/product/2400-watt-power-supply-kit-for-gpu-mining-94-efficiency-200-240v-ethereum-eth-zec-dash/ ?
Do they work at full speed with this PSU?
I am running four 741's on two of these power supplies.  I get about 30T with the voltage offset at 0 and 28 T at 0. Just to be on the safe side, I ordered a spare power supply from parallel miner. They charge 59USD for it w/o the breakout boards.

Hey guys, I just wanted to drop a question here for you vets with the 741 out there. Is there anyway to tune different voltage offsets for different ASICs on the same controller? I'm having a hard time with 1 of the ASICs as it is running 100% fan on -1 like every day its getting quite annoying.

-2   set fan minimum to 5%

There is nothing better then this.

buy a second controller clone the sdd card.

here is a cheap controller

https://www.amazon.com/Raspberry-Model-A1-2GHz-64-bit-quad-core/dp/B01CD5VC92/ref=sr_1_1?

https://www.amazon.com/UTRO-Mount-Raspberry-Aluminum-Heatsinks/dp/B01GUQ5M8W/ref=sr_1_7?

if you want I would sell you a cloned sdd card

in fact  I would help anyone that wants controllers

Hey Phil, thanks for replying. I got more than a few of these guys so I wanted to know whether there was a way to separately set offset voltage for an individual machine rather than the whole batch with 1 controller. I got 3 separate controllers with 1 more on the way. At this point I'm gonna have to manually move the asics around to get the best performance. If it isn't possible to manually set offset voltage for each of the ASICs that is.

You seem like a knowledgeable, if you got any tips and tricks please feel free to share! I also understand that nothing comes for free in this world as well Smiley

Thanks Philipma1957, I use 2 psu for each miner but not computer ones.
I have a couple of HP 512327-B21 750w that I am using with X6 breakout board adapter and pcie cables from parallel miner.
So far no issues and working at full, the psu are fairly new from a server we had.
I am hoping the 750w for each side will be good, might look into going higher but not sure what would be in the 1000w range with 120v and I know they don't have anything in the 2000w with 120v that would work.

the hp 1200 will do 900 watts on 120 volts

my opinion is you do not need them as two for 1  avalon 741 is overkill  and 1 is not enough  on a 120 volt circuit

two of these for each machine should be good

Hey Phil...didn't you say that Eastshore is a legit company somewhere on this thread, and can trust them?

Thanks.

Actually, the miners are plug-and-play.
Leave the one running and just connect the PSU's to the other miners (PSU's still off) then connect the link cables(s) between the miners.

A second or so apart turn ON all of the PSU's to the new miners in whatever order you want and watch the "advanced" Avalon GUI CGminer status tab. If the new miners don't automajikly show up in a minute or 2 restart CGminer from the GUI and it will find them.

Thank you

those instructions apply to separate psu's

if you share a beast psu  such as a finksy/jbberwock 4k dual psu  which powers 3 of these  you must turn off the psu  to add new units.

if you use 1 psu for each 741  it is no issue.
