If I can get some additional Icarus boards, what will be if I send it to trade-in address now? It completely useless but I not want lost it by sending to nonfunctional address. Who knows, given trade-in address is real Avalon team address or it is some mediator and it's address can be changed/removed anytime?

Trade in program is closed as far as I know.

Check last update.  He said the list has been obtained and cleaned up.  It sort of implies an irreversible step, no?
Just like no refunds once b3 enters "shipping" stage, it is reasonable to assume no trade-ins after trade-ins are in processing.

Otherwise, it would add extra work for both Mr. Chen and Yifu.  I might be wrong but I think they operate in waterfall fashion.
If they did not, they would have kept orders and trade-ins open at all times.  Sort of like BFL.

7/25/2013  my trade-in still has not been added to my store account.  tickets #1408, #1409, #1351, #1235 opened.

Sent emails to Yifu as well.

now it seems they ship batch 3 and chips before trade-in units  Sad

I'm really disappointed. The trust is gone.
Personally, I'm done with Team Avalon,
if there is not some sort of compensation.

I'm surprised it was open to customers who did not order from ngzhang directly, but whatever....

My status: Apr 23rd trade-in, no email, no order, no response to ticket #961 (created on June 12th, 2013 Wink)

Guys I think things should start moving soon. I got notice that my batch3 unit has shipped so I presume that once they take care of batch 3 they will start with the trade-in customers. Shame that trade-in did not receive the priority they were promised, but what can you do; c'est la vie.


c'est la vie, eh?  I'm sure many would disagree.
More like bend over.

Although I agree with and share your sentiment, my "c'est la vie" remark was meant to refer to the reality that there is nothing we can do about the situation as it is out of our control. We can vent and bitch all we want but that's about it as far as our powers go so far. We can however show our displeasure and vote with our wallets next time around. We have more choices now than we did before.

My hope is that in the interest of public relations the Avalon team do something to quell the anger of their trade-in customers. How can they do this? I leave that up to them, but I can suggest some suggestions:

1) Ship trade-in units at the same time as batch 3 units (least they can do considering the broken promise of preferential treatment for their loyal customers - ie trade in clients)
2) Ship trade-in customers units that are compatible with their proposed 55nm hashing modules so we have an upgrade path without having to buy whole new base units.
3) Process and confirm trade-in customer e-mails and payments faster

I think personal wellbeing is more important then business dissapointments.

No response to my support request, and no email. If you view the link in my signature, you'll see the time of verification that they received my Icarus was April 19th, 2013 3:06PM CST.

There is an order in the store for me, and the text of the order on the second page indicates I should send a specified amount of BTC to a specific address. The order price indicates a different amount. Because I have received no email, and partly because others here have paid and gotten no confirmation of shipment of their trade-in, I created a new ticket requesting assistance and clarification on what I should be providing/paying.

Just pay the bill as we all did. Asking for a support/response will do nothing but just slow your delivery

PS: i paid silently on the same day and my order status is not changing, but i am not making noise just waiting.
