Yes perfectly stable .49% hw error at 41c Batch3

could you lift that 450 limit easily?

Thanks!
There's a special one-off firmware just for you that lifts the limit to 1000 here:

Hi Tigggger. I did try --avalon-temp 70 as that's what was specified for the b3s by default. I don't recall setting the cutoff temp though. I'll give that a shot, thanks.

Edit: That worked a treat, thanks!

I'm having difficulty with your latest releases on batch 3, 4 module rigs however, and I apologize if this has been discussed and I missed it. These are restarting cgminer when temp 2 = > 60. I've tried every firmware from 20130703 to 20130821 and they all exhibit this behavior. The only firmware that seems to work properly on these rigs is their factory firmware 20130723. Do you have any idea how this issue can be resolved?

Have you used --avalon-temp 70 --avalon-cutoff 90 ?  These need to be added to the 'more options' for batch 3, not had any restarts on mine except when upgading the firmware.

Unless you have done hardware modifications, you will not find any stock avalon under any conditions that will run much better than 360. The firmware posted so far already allows for speeds up to 450.

Hi ckolivas. I'd like to thank you for your excellent work on Avalon firmware revisions. 20130821 has worked a treat on my batch 1 & 2 rigs. I'm having difficulty with your latest releases on batch 3, 4 module rigs however, and I apologize if this has been discussed and I missed it. These are restarting cgminer when temp 2 = > 60. How many GH/s are you getting at 450? Three or four modules unit?

At the moment I am running only 2 modules while i finish the waterblocks on the other 2.   Im showing 71Ghs on 2 modules at 450Mhz.   BTCGuild is showing exactly 75Ghs

Sure can.

Hi, if you have time, would 350-400 or even 350-450 be an ok autosetting in a 20dgr airconditioned room? for an avalon batch 2 3 module unit.

Thanks for your time. Ok, no stock mods done, it even has stock psu. So i will put it to auto 300-360? or 340-360?
its in a very cold room, but maybe its not enough.

@ckolivas   Are you doing anything to cap the system at 450Mhz?   Im running stable at 450 but as soon as I bump to 451Mhz it fails to start mining?

PS: I am running at 1336mv and watercooled...

Thanks!
You're running stable at 450? Amazing... Yes there is a cap at 450 in the code.

Mining Namecoin/Bitcoin and Litecoin at the same time is Impossible!

Namecoin and Bitcoin are sha-256 based chains and can be merged minined, Litecoin on the other hand is scrypt based and can never be mined at the same time as Bitcoin nor can it be mined by FPGA`s or ASIC`s like an Avalon.

OKay, what does this  site talk about then? its quite famous to use the slushpool from what i read?
http://mining.bitcoin.cz/
it says it does namecoin+bitcoin for extra revenue..

That is exactly what PsychoticBoy states: you can mine both NMC and BTC at the same time (BTCguild does it too) but you can't mix BTC and LTC as they use a different algo for the proof of work

Regarding the size of PSU, I had 3 module Asic running for a week with 750w PSU. After that the PSU died (it was almost new).
Now, I know some people here have been saying that 750W is too small PSU, even for the 3 module unit. Clearly that is the case, I just couldn't believe it. So be mindful of this when choosing PSU's.
750W is OK.
From time to time hardware breaks, especially when running near max specs continuously.

Few questions. (if there is an faq, please direct me)
1, Mutliple coin mining, i remember seeing a pool, which mines namecoins and litecoins along with bitcoins on the avalon.
Would it be any idea to do so? i mean, namecoins and litecoins are currently cheap, so getting a few a day might be a good idea or does it steal too much from valuable bitcoins?
2, is it safe to run a b2 3 module on 355 in a fully hosted datacenter with 20 degrees airconditioned space?
3, is there a simple way, to share payments among many addresses automatically? (a pool that splits payments automatically)
4, why should i choose btcguild or any of the famous pools above eligius? Btcguild is 3%, and eligius is free, but takes a while to pay out, however, 3% is not peanuts!

Appreciate any answers you could provide.
