So I'm guessing they're starting batch 3 shipping by end of next week?

Yeah, sure...

Not quiet ready yet, but since we did promise an updateover the weekend, here's a sneak peak of the exciting two weeks that willfollow.

For those who did not see Yifu Guo'spanel at the conference can check it out below

http://youtube.com/watch?v=LY1xgGiejIc | http://youtube.com/watch?v=UtVx26LlNXA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD237oF7cCo

Let's get started.

First, there will be no powersupply cable included in the box, you will have to acquire you own, it is an standard ATX power cable, get the socket for your country,we did this to save time allowing all the packaging of the Avalons to beuniform.

To summarize and recap the talk atthe conference:

Scaling from few hundred units that we had a few month toprepare for into a few thousand units in less than a month have provendifficult, we must admit that we have bite off more than we can chew andsuffering from "third-party dates", which are ever-changing. Weare playing catch up and expect to soon see the light at the end of thistunnel.

Facts:

New SMT line is now fully operational as of this weekend.

New shipping channel secured and tested.

Sample chips has began shipping.

Majority of all the parts have arrived and ready,

which also means we finally will have time to go over tickets, and send outthose trade-in payment emails.

What you can expect in the next newsletter should consist of thefollowing:

photo tour of the new Avalon factory,

the operating crew, which have doubled in size, assembling.

piles and piles of packaged Avalons ready to ship.

Sit tight, it won't be long now.

The info is someone has already received sample of Avalon chips. It means all the people ordered batch#3 machine will be the leading character of a tragedy.

What if the sample chips are from the same batch they ordered to cover batch 3 (and maybe even late batch 2) orders and the fact they started sending sample chips out means they now got them delivered. Since if they had plenty of chips just laying around I suspect they would just have sent out the samples sooner, and I doubt they made a separate order just to get some sample chips.

Most awesome thing would be some sort of refund, equal to that what batch#3 could mine let's say two weeks (next difficulty jump) from now if they fail to deliver.
Sad that this will never happen.

They are to busy "testing" your order.
We have seen the shelves of prepaid avalon units hashing away / "testing" this has not changed Im fairly sure.

The amount of BTC being earned right now from these testing units are likely to be a big factor in the delay.

I find it troubling that I will be receiving my BFL orders before receiving my Avalon b3 order.

KNC? ==>  Orsoc is looking for ASIC engineers... October seems aggressive.
Orsoc is always looking for ASIC engineers. They're an ASIC building company. That's like saying Microsoft can't ship Windows 9 because they're hiring developers right now.

I went through Orsocs site and found news of three ASIC specialists they'd hired going back to 2010 and 2011. It's not like Orsoc has never produced an ASIC before or didn't have any people already capable of producing them. This is just FUD and hardly seems a valid reason to doubt them.

BFL? ==> Order now?! You have to be kidding me.  Wait behind 40,000 orders -- 2014
Metabank ==> are they legit? Trust in an exporter?  August to October.  Do you think  you won't get your B3 before August?
Course; don't buy from them.

It is nice to see that there are options out there, but right now Avalon is still pushing more hashing power out to customers than anyone else.

Lets just hope they ship batch 3 before the raw chips.  Otherwise people will be hashing with B3 clones before we get our official versions, and I think it would be safe to say that the probability of negative ROI over the course of a year is very high.
Indeed. They owe it to batch three to ship out before they ship chips :\

Indeed its a sad thread! However I don't have any hope that BitSyncom will provide something like customer support in the near future. We ordered a Batch 3 Avalon because we thought they are trustful and will ship on May 5 like announced, we even agreed to their super customer unfriendly bullshit terms. They don't provide any explanations for the delays, any new shipping dates, don't answers to customers from Batch 1 that didn't received their machines, partially deliver used machines(dust from long term use inside), don't respond to tickets, don't respond in this forum, don't provide any hotline or address so that customers could reach them. On the other hand side, they set up some very bold rules. They accepted for Chinese customers payments in RMB, if they doesn't receive the payment during 2-3 days, they claimed to refunded only 70% of the total price and would not accept your order, that's a cost above 1500USD for a refund at a 3 module machine. If you look at all of that, its a mess. As I listened to Yifu's speech at the Bitcom, he made an impression of a nice guy. Afterwards I took a deeper look at the facts we know and tried to map it to the things he said. I got a feeling that he he couldn't say anything about the real situation. I assume this mass is not his fault, but actually it could be possible that his team is a reason for a lot of problems. They could use the machines for mining, and try to make as much money as possible for themself. As Yifu tried to make some pressure on them to deliver, they started to damage the machines and created more troubles. From what we know, the box of the damaged Avalon's was in good shape, the box was not opened during shipping, so who should have done that if not an insider? All the talk about the good attitudes of his team could be a appeal to them to get back on the right track. The majority of people in China want just to make a lot of money as fast as possible, fortunately it does not count for all. However, to blame his own team would not help and could make the situation worse. He is not on side so that he could supervise the operation, so actually it's not in his hand, even he is responsible for.
So what can we do? Not much, we deal with a company that is just a mailbox. The only way you could try is the legal way. Write a letter to their registered address, use the U.S. Laws that apply for companies doing business inside the U.S, that selling products over the internet. Try to get a refund in this way, they terms are invalid if they are against U.S Laws. For a single person it would not make too much sense, just if you have put a lot of money into it, or you can engage a lawyer together with others. Maybe you even will receive your unit till there is any visible result from this case. However, just to pray and hope that BitSyncom will have   compassion seems the best way for the moment.

For the hard way, here is the company data:
Company Name:    BITSYNCOM LLC
Status:    Active
Filing Date:    09/27/2012
Entity Type:    Foreign Limited-Liability Company

Company Age:    9 Months
Principal Address:
C/O Business Filings Incorporated 187 Wolf Road,

...Getting a bit worried. I hope triads are not in the game or may I say good bye for my Batch #3 Avalon. Hopefully welcome instead. But those all undelivered 1000+ Avalons and bulk chip money are a BIG deal for anyone.

What are you guys smoking? Is making you anxious.

Chill out...

Do you really have confidence that you will receive Avalon batch#3 in 2 weeks?

The thing is, if a B3 Avalon can't ROI then nothing will from now on, ever. Even klondikes which are ~3x price efficient won't work because on your estimates the difficulty will be 30000000000000000000. But then if difficulty is so high, why is the hash rate increasing? Why would anyone be buying new hardware if it won't pay for itself.

Paradox. You can't have it both ways.

This is true.  Like anything in life, things can't grow exponentially forever.  There will be a point when the ASIC craze ends and people stop buying and mining with them because they are unprofitable.   Just like CPU mining.  At that point the difficulty will level off.  I expect that those who lose money in this will be those just starting to get their ducks in a row and buy bitcoins at the current rate in order to buy ASICS.  It's too late.

Difficulty can drop, and it will level off and stagnate at a certain point.  Whether that is 100,000,000 300,000,000 or a billion.  I am confident that a functional and reliable Avalon B2 and B3 will be significantly ahead of that curve in the long run.
