How can I change managed profit switching miners in managed miners?

Hi guys,
Another new Awesome Miner user here, first of all, thanks Patrike for your software!
Got my rig up and running, no problem there, just a question about the ‘balance’ tab, i cant find any info or example to fill in.
I understand that i need to insert a wallet address (duh) but what is used as ‘label’?
My Litecoin address works good, but not my Ethereum and Bitcoin, it shows update failed.
Any help is much appreciated,
Regards from The Netherlands Grin
Welcome and thanks for your nice feedback.

Label is just a description (maybe I should change name of it) that can be anything. It's useful if you have several addresses and want to remember what they are used for.

Are you using the default Block Explorer API's that are pre-filled in? That should work for Bitcoin and Ethereum unless your Awesome Miner version is too old. If you have any specific address work, you could send it to me via mail or PM and I can take a look. Thanks!

For general information about the balance feature:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/coinbalance.aspx

@Patrike: using latest 4.3.2, also using default API`s...still see update failed on both Zclassic and Ethereum, used etherscan.io to get an api but this fails also, did just the same as on Litecoin and that one works like a charm.

Its official, this app is shit. I've switched the statistics around endlessly to get the "perfect" daily estimate ratio, and it doesnt even get CLOSE to the so said daily estimates I'm suppose to make. Whoever made up these stats when it came to profit switching need to get shot in the face. As per example Skein is suppose to give me $10 for 1080ti on Zpool.. Guess what, IT DOESNT EVEN COME CLOSE!!!

Made less than a dollar in 5 hours, WTF?!?!? What a hunk of shit. Even when mining with coin Specified it still mines whatever the fuck it wants so why even have the option?!

This is not fair if there's a misconfiguration issue on your end. I do not own a 1080Ti and can't say for the hashrate, but you are ranting without giving much information on your end, no need for rude language, AM does not mine for you and it does not lie to you if it's been fed with misinformation in the first place.

According to early test of skein hashrate with 1080Ti, it does approx 600MH/s without oc, what is your hashrate and what is pool's reported hashrate? if you plug in into say...WhatToMine, 600 MH/s gives you shy of $7 if you are mining DGB-Skein, and $2.7 per day for XMY-Skein...your 1 dollar in 5 hours seemed though pretty unimpressive for a top of range $1k card but isn't far off the estimates. not to mention a double hit with DGB-BTC pair value drop and BTC-USD value drop....what would you expect?

FYI...my 1060s does more than $7 (correction, forgot not using USD on my AM), $6+ each a day and actual reported earning isn't far off...it's not AM's fault if something isn't optimized on your end

Also...why would you be mining skein when supposedly Equihash/Neoscrypt has much higher reported revenue? seems more like wrong recorded hashrate in your profit profile, did you benchmark properly?

Is it possible to add xmr-stak to also support CPU under managed software->compatible software? Now only AMD/Nvidia is accepted. The new xmr-stak has replaced the xmr-stak-cpu, and xmr-stak works great on cpu only (just remove the GPU-dlls). I guess API is the same, so it just to enable it? On latest xeon scalable CPU, it's around 20% faster on cryptonight than any other miner I have tried.

Also could it be an idea to have different switching interval for the different pools? Since MPH use PPLNS, a longer switch time could maybe be more profitable. On Zpool, faster switching could maybe be most profitable? Or maybe I'm totally wrong...

Thanks

With the latest update, none of my templates will take on remote rigs. I select a new profile to launch different mining software and they keep only starting the same software.

As an example, I was mining Cryptonite. I then want to switch to ETH. Select a different template for the managed miner and apply it. Software shutsdown and new software starts up. However, the "new" software is the exact same software from the previous profile. I have run the "Upgrade Remote Agent" on the remote rigs.

What am I missing or is this a new bug?
If you open the Properties of this miner after applying the profile - is the information correct? What if you manually stop and then start the miner, is it starting with the correction configuration?
Can you also manually version on one of the Remote Agents that it's in fact the same version of Awesome Miner. Thanks!
The "Update Remote" was not working as intended on any rig. When I went and downloaded the Remote software and update each rig, things are back to normal.

Thank you.

I purchased the standard edition as we're currently running 4 rigs. (6 GPUs each).

The software is behaving very oddly. It is an absolute crapshoot to get all 4 rigs mining at the same time.

Assume I have rigs 1 through 4.

If they're all in a stopped state, I can start rig 1 fine. I then try to start rig 2, and it becomes a random chance that it simply starts mining as well, or will stop rig 1 from mining and start itself and rig 3 mining instead. If I then try to start rig 4 it may just stop all the rigs and start rig 4. Then I can start rig 3 again and suddenly all 4 rigs run. It's always an instantaneous change on the start of another rig.

It seems like any time there is a state change on any rig, there is a non zero chance one or more other rigs will be affected.

Through vigorous start/stopping I can sometimes get all 4 mining but there's no guarantee they'll stay that way as sometimes other rigs will stop when algos are switched or what have you.

Occasionally instead of "stopped" I'll see service offline as a description, but that never seems to last and the machines are still reachable via ping with no packet loss.

I've made sure each machine is on its own reserved ip and everything looks good network wise, does anyone have any ideas as to what I might try to troubleshoot this? I'd sure like to get all 4 rigs mining consistently asap.

Thanks,

-a

I know you have probably done this, but that just seem like some sort of conflict, double make sure in the Options you have

- Ensure each machine running same version AM Remote Agent as your main AM machine
- 4 Managed Hosts ( 1 Per machine, each on their IP )
- 4 Managed Miners ( 1 assigned to each individual Managed Host )
- X number of Profit Profiles for X different GPU Setups ( If using Profit Miners)
- If using any customized software or software/paths, make sure you point them to the individual machine's local executables via "Browse Uploaded Software..." in Profit Profile
- Make sure you benchmarked each individual profiles to ensure they are hashing all the supported algos you checked.

Lastly open up the log folders in Tools -> Log file and try read through and see what kind of errors might have occurred and logged when this happens, errors are entries with "[E]" without the quotes. If still can't be solved manually, best to send the logs to Patrike via email.

"Service Offline" really is just information saying your AM is not able to communicate with the Remote Agent running on the Remote Miner(s) you setup, may it be the Remote Agent crashed, network issue, did not start...machine completely offline + whatever that could happen to cause the interruption...etc.

So just as an fyi to my issue with the paths being wrong etc.  I tracked my issue down to my internet service provider blocking the claymore download at their dns level using some kind of dnsbl.  Once I switched to googles servers (8.8.8.Cool the download/updates worked correctly.  I still had to delete the files in AM to get it to work.  I opened a ticket with my provider but I doubt it will amount to anything

This is where as a previous poster suggested an issue tracker might be nice.  It would at least be a central place to look for fixes.

@Patrike

Please look at this simple issue tracker / feature request. Can you make one for AM?

I really like how simple it is and this will save a BUNCH of time. It takes a lot of time scrolling through all the BCT posts just find or not find the answer.

SUGGESTION:

The dashboard with graphs of the hashrate is really no use to me because I do profit switching and it is always changing.

What would be MUCH more useful to me is a graph of the profit. actual and estimate.

Actual would get from pool APIs
https://miningpoolhub.com/index.php?page=api&action=getuserallbalances&api_key=APIKEY
https://api.nicehash.com/api?method=balance&id=XXXX&key=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
http://www.zpool.ca/api/wallet?address=WALLET_ADDRESS
http://pool.hashrefinery.com/api/wallet?address=WALLET_ADDRESS

YIIMP pools would use "balance"
Nicehash would use "balance_pending" +"balance_confirmed"
MPH would use coin":"bitcoin","confirmed"

Estimated would be a graph of the already used "profit"

I just found this site posted in the Zpool / AwesomeMiner Discord channel

https://miningpoolhubstats.com/

This is EXACTLY what I was talking about.

I have the Afterburner software and remote server installed on a remote rig (all of them). However, when I reboot the ABRS does not start up. It is located in the same path on every rig and has the same User. There is NO password for each rig though. Is that the issue? How can I fix this for AM to start ABRS like it is supposed to?

I have the same path, user and password setup on both of my rigs and am having the same issue.

Please fix.  Thanks!!
Can you verify if MSI Afterburner shows up in the Task Scheduler (you find this on the Start menu in Windows) once you configured the MSI Afterburner auto start via Awesome Miner?

I have Afterburner setup to autostart. It does show in Task Scheduler. It is the Afterburner Remote that does not start.

Many times I see instances where AM says "service offline" for 10 to 30 seconds yet the miner API is still getting data back to AM.  It's like AM is too sensitive to disruptions in the connection to it's remote agent.

I tried searching this epic thread but came up short so I apologize if this is a common easy fix...

For some reason the temperature of my AMD cards is not showing up in Awesome Miner. It was showing for all my cards when I first started using AM but somehow it has disappeared. The Nvidia temps still show up as the are supposed to.

Is there a setting somewhere I have overlooked?

Thanks!

There can also be instances where Awesome Miner is unable to read the GPU sensors.

This worked perfectly. Thank you!

BTW, is there a way to display more than one "site" at a time on the cloud web page? I run three rigs currently and it would be easier to view them from one single page scrolling if need be rather than changing the site via drop down menu every time. Again, thanks!

cast_xmr seems stable enough recently that you could add it as an option for the profit switching miner and not just as a managed miner. Please update it to the latest 0.81 version too.
Is there any way we can add the negative luck for electroneum, perhaps as a '35% pool fee' like they do on whattomine? I like how you have the profit factor for the built-in online services used for profit switching, but manually defined pools really need something like this too. It could be used to fix electroneum, and other coins with issues such as x17 verge (look how many orphans are found on any pool).

Double click the coin you want from the coin page and change the "profitability" factor.

I don't see how to set a profitability factor per coin anywhere.  I do see the profitability factor in the user defined online services but that doesn't help with setting it per coin.

EDIT:  never mind, I was looking in the Options menus, it's actually under the Coins tab thing on the main screen. I'm discovering something new with AM every day!

I've had similar situations where I can change the pool or template and the miner restarts using the old pool.   I have to change the pool and/or restart the miner again to get it to actually take the new one.  Sorry I don't have an easy way to reliably reproduce this but it happens frequently.  I believe I've even seen the situation where I change the pool in the managed miner's properties, restart the miner, and it continues to use the previous pool.

I'm trying to use awesomeminer and a great job
request:
additional coins would be nice to be able to insert a link from where to find, for example, the currency and difficulty creating a file or an external link, so the coins that are not reachable could be used even if they are not yet implemented.

shouldn't I be able to set the claymore parameter "-allcoins -1" from the claymore pool settings? I put ALLCOINS with value -1 but nothing makes it to the epools.txt

Hi

Could you add XMRig mining software for mining cryptonight for cpu. It has a api in place which could be used with awesome miner.

Thanks
I've been receiving a number of requets on this one. So it's likely that the next mining softare added will be XMRig.
