- XMR-Stak miner can be monitored as an External Miner

Does anybody know how to set the config up for this? I have the miner setup but it doesn't pick up any type of monitoring. Just shows as a "miner online"
There is a setting "httpd_port" in the config.txt file for XMR-Stak, where you need to specify a port for the API. This will be the port that Awesome Miner should be configured to connect to.

Thanks again.

Hi patrike,

is it possible that you have maybe an bug in your software, maybe in the auto api privilege mode?

since im using your app my devices are often restarting within  2 hours after mining start - sometimes after 5 mines, sometimes after 10 .. maybe sometimes after 20 minutes or an hour Cheesy so really random but 99% within the first 2 hours. i've deactivated already auto profit switch and the fail detection features but i was sure that isn't solving this, because if some of this options are triggered i should got an notification too.

so, for now i've shutdown your app und since then my miners are running already over 4 hours without interruption. All Devices are btw Antminer L3+.

Ahh and about Granat:
Was working now again - as you said, the problem seems to be the http instability over the last week. for sure it was checked/enabled, but possibly not reachable Cheesy Not in your Hands Smiley
I have the same issue, antminers are restarting when using awesomeminer
Out of the box there are no rules or features in Awesome Miner that reboots an Antminer. There are however two common reason why this happens:

1) You have configured automatic Antminer API configuration in the in Options dialog, Antminer API Access section. If not configured correctly with IP rules, Awesome Miner will continue to detect the miner as being in restricted mode and will try to reconfigure it every 5 minutes.
2) You have a rule where you configured an SSH action to reboot the Antminer.

Both these two scenarios are indicated with SSH connections and SSH commands in the log file of Awesome Miner (toolbar: Tools -> Log file). Can you please check when a reboot happens if you can see any indication of this?

Hey, my Antminers were now online for about 9 Hours without Awesome Miner. With Awesome Miner, i've got again those restarts so we have to find the Problem at the Software Cheesy

For sure i have activated automatic antminer api configuration but it is working as it should be. Im connecting via VPN to my Antminers, so i have nothing to do with special Port-Forwardings etc. Awesome Miner is connected to the miners via the remote-vpn network. All Miners are privileged. in the Antminer API Access Tab ive set Hardware to "S7 / L3 / D3" and nothing in IP Address rule (any ip address). root user and password are set and accepted. Im right, that i need this automatic function in case of reboots, right?

i haven't set any custom rules and deactivated already all preconfigured rules.

starpool for next update would be really cool Cheesy

Guys, why my Awesome Miner Profit thinks that MiningPoolHub has better profit than Nanopool?

I've managed to set it so I can start Cast-XMR remotely on my miners (using generic miner) but I'm not getting any stats on profitability, is there any work around I could use in the mean time to make it detect hash rate? All it detects right now is where it is mining or offline.

Cast-XMR just added an API so hopefully AM will support it soon.  Until then, no there is no way to get hashrate or revenue.

I'm using AMD with RX580 and I can't make it benchmark any other then Equihash and Ethereum.

On Blake 2B, I can't even see any windows opening. On Cryptonight I see "no pools specified", on the others a windows open, but too fast.

Do you guys have the same problem?

1. I would like to know if DR-100 asic will be added? Since now it displays profitability and hasht is not correct.
2. When is it planned to make an automatic transfer on the yield for the asics?

I'll support the report on the balance. It works with errors. When the wallets started everything was displayed correctly, but when the currency was changed and back, everything went wrong and the balances were not correct. Just ask to add the sum of all the purses at the end.

Hi Patrike
thanks for answer about switching off a profit switching for concrete external miner. Your software have so many settings))) Need time to know this all.

I found some bug in wallet balance viewing.
In core wallet for example i see 4.40584934 DASH
But AM balance viewer show me only 4.39584234 DASH
This Dash wallet has recived a lot of small transaction last time.
Looks like rounding issue in AM.
Other wallets displays wrong amount too if i get small transactions. Always small difference, but good software must be without those bugs)
Regards.
Awesome Miner is getting the data from the Block Explorers, and they might have a small delay in their updates as well. Can you please verify the same address on the Block Explorer to see if you get the same result:
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dash/
I put 3 addresses of DASH in AM. And sum of this 3 addresses in not correct.

And I found another bug: Unable to delete wallet address over context menu. (If you go so: Main Window->Balance Tab->Right click on wallet viewer->Remove address

How do I make profit switching work with dual mining?
If it's more profitable to do dual mining, the profit switcher will automatically do that.

Please review the "Dual mining hashrate" and "Dual mining power" in the profit profile (Options dialog, profit profile section, edit AMD or nVidia), and make sure the numbers looks good. You can also review the calculations if you right click on a running Managed Profit Miner and select View Details, then go to Profit switching tab.
Sorry Patrike it was a problem on my end, I hadn't updated my version of Awesome Miner. It works flawlessly now, do you if there is any chance of adding XMR-stak Cast-xmr support? I am getting 30% more hashes with Cast-Xmr vs claymore on my RX 580s.
I might get supported, but I get a large number of requets for features and more mining software right now. I added support for XMR-Stak and DSTM Zcash last week for example.
Thanks, great to now. I think cast-Xmr will get really popular since it's by far and large the most powerful cryptonight miner.

kind of disappointed at the fact that they only limit it to 2 max for free edition... my farm is more than that
The idea is that if you like the software and want to use it for more miners, you need to pay for a software license. This is the only way that makes it possible for me to continue to work on improving the software and make it even more awesome.

The purpose of the software is to save both time and money for you.

I just got started and purchased 2 S9 miners, this looks like a good application to start keeping track of everything. If I get it right I should be able to monitor GPU miners as well, is that correct?
Yes, you can monitor ASIC miners (like Antminer), GPU miners and CPU miners.

I can't set a pool in the managed miner properties or template properties if I'm using a user-defined miner app.  This creates a problem where when you apply a template it doesn't change the pool, it continues using the last pool.  I believe when using built-in miner apps the pool also changes when you apply a template, correct?

I'm sure you're doing it like this because AM can't select a pool when launching the user-defined miner but the point is it doesn't need to.
Is it a user defined miner where you define the pool configuration yourself via command line? The pool should change when you change template for a built-in miner, because those have a pool setting. Your user-defined miners doesn't have this concept as Awesome Miner doesn't know the command line parameters for your custom software.

Shouldn't any command line arguments specified in your template, where you probably have your pools defined anyway, be applied to your managed miner?

Is there a way to force elevated privileges like programs that need admin access?
That will probably require Awesome Miner to be running as Administrator as well, otherwise it will either fail or you will get prompted via the UAC dialog if you want to run the process.

Having an issue with running a batch file before starting the mining software.  The batch file runs ok but when it ends AM stops the managed miner and attempts to restart it.  It never even tries to launch the miner software.

Here's the message from Diagnostics after the batch file runs:

Unexpected exit of mining software. Possible cause: Incorrect configuration
Diagnostics completed

This is the batch file:

C:\DevCon\devcon.exe disable "PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_687F"
timeout /t 3
C:\DevCon\devcon.exe enable "PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_687F"
timeout /t 2
C:\OverdriveNTool\OverdriveNTool.exe -p1Main -p2Main -p3Main -p4Main -p5Main

The miner launches ok if I don't use the batch file so I know the miner configuration is correct.
Is this something you have entered in the Properties of a Managed Miner, Command line section, in the "Batch-file commands" field? Is it working better if you remove the timeouts?
Did you get any additional output from the diagnostics other than the last few lines saying that it failed?

Yes, command line section of the batch file area of the managed miner.  The delays don't seem to make a difference.

The only output above the lines I posted were the lines that were executed in the batch file.
I still think I need to see the complete output of the diagnostics to be able to give suggestions. Thanks!

In AW I change the pools for D3 asic but after rebooting asic they are reset and set as they are recorded in the Asic Miner General Configuration tab.
How to fix it?
I want the order of the pools to remain the same as specified in Awesome miner.
Thanks!
Antminers have 3 default pools defined, and the behavior of Antminers is to revert back to these pools when a hard reboot is made. When changing the current pool where the Antminer is mining, the default pools are not changed.

Awesome Miner can configure the default pools as well. Select one or many Antminers and use the toolbar Tools -> Antminer -> Default Pools, to define the 3 default pools.
