Can someone tell which power supply I need ?
And how can I start the miner?
Is there a start button on the miner?

How loud is it?
Can I run this in a small room?
Any PSU with 6x 6-pin ATX works.
With the currently known algos at least 800W, but definitely go higher (future algo may require more and better add some as a buffer)!
Baikals statement:
I asked Baikal about the recommended power supply and here is their response. "1200watt is recommended.
Need 6 standard 12v 6pin connectors"
My L3+ automatically turns on as soon as power is available, so probably no button.
Theres no information regarding the noise level. I expect ~60 dB, like other miners.
Running the miner in a small room shouldn´t be a problem, but: Keep the generated heat and the noise level in mind. If you plan to run this in your home do not underestimate the noise level.

I think he was kidding. I don't know enough about how asic chips work to even speculate. Although it can't be easy to do multiple algo's or other companies would do it as well right?

In 20 of october I transfered 1526 USD to the Baikal bank account.

My bank reduced the amount of money from my account. (The bank did not ask me (yet) about the russian dealers)

I was waiting for the confirmation from Baikal as they got my money, but they did not. So asked them yesterday. And I got the answer too.

"Hi,

I would like to ask you. Did you receive my payment? It should be on your account by now.

Please let me know."

Answer from Baikal:

"Hi,

Please be more patience.

We will let you know as soon as we received it."

Baikal has been great on service and delivering as promised...

F***'n when?

One week wasn't enough there to receive the money??? I can see in my bank account my bank send the money already and my money in the baikal's bank account and he ask me for more patience..

I hope I will not lose money.. Never again this moppets show.

Guys, anyone got confirmation about the payment? Anyone got email, from baikal "ok, we received your money we will dlivery your machine on this and this date?"

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I ordered 100+ units from baikal on this batch. No problems whats so ever. Sent the money via wire transfer and everything went smootly. Ive ordered from baikal before and service has been great.

"

Baikal miner"

I ordered on the 19 of oct. and 2 days later i got this reply.

Good to hear someone got a good experience with Baikal! Smiley

To me this is the first time to deal with them. I found "interested" they payment method and I read quite a lot complain here. The first batch delayed at least one month... I have a quite few question mark in my head about Baikal. Finger cross it will be end up with happy end.

Happy days! I got the same email like you. I was transferred the money 7 days ago.

I'm tempted to buy a couple... but I really want to know the other algos Sad

Digibyte is pretty steady.  You won't lose money but magical gains probably won't happen either.  (Qubit - the reason FPGA really kicks ass)

If a company could figure out how to make new boards for old antimers with FPGA that would be something!

Any word from Asicminermarket.com with their first batch?
The first batch has been delayed from Baikal. So I guess they will know when they get a word from the company.

yep thats what I thought. That means we are going to be left to the mercy of all the other coins. Anything other than X11 will be a brief time to make some money. Then all of it will be gone Sad

I gotta admit, they spent a good 45 minutes on skype with me helping me with the wire transfer.  I've ordered before but used DASH and even though it seems I did the wire transfer right I still hope that they take crypto in the future.  Much easier and more secure.

PS Yes it was the same skype account I used in the past.

I had a bad experience with Baikal. I had put an order for the first batch and got confirmation for my order. For that batch they only accepted bank transfer. When I enquired if I could send bitcoin to speed the process up they replied "Oh sorry we have made a mistake. This batch is sold out already. Please get in touch for the 2nd batch. I was "disappointed". Further enquiry what would have happened if I had sent my bank transfer already were left unanswered.

I wonder how to expect to do businesss with me again after such a start. The machine looks awesome at that price though maybe they can afford that kind of behaviour but for my part I wont be doing any business with them.

Which coins use Qubit? Having a hard time finding their let alone network hash rates for them.

This is an useful page at whattomine, where you can input your hashrate for the most popular algos:

I WANT TO INFORM EVERYONE ON THE THREAD, THAT AFTER SENDING A MAIL TO BAIKAL EXPLAINING THE TROUBLE AND DANGER OF LOSING MY FUNDS, THE COMPANY PROVIDED ALL NECESSARY DETAILS. SO, THE MATTER IS CONSIDERED CLOSED (PROBABLY)  Smiley
Great News!
