Yeah, how weird is it that others have wired money without this ID requirement? It may be linked to me using a "dummy email" which I use incase I get spammed. Anyway, I covered the personal numbers & birthdate on it so it can't be used for anything I guess.

Since they are awful at communication towards selling the product, how are they at communication on support?

I agree but their products are excellent so this is why I do business with them. They desperately need a better website and business practices.

My guess is that they pick and choose which emails/orders they take, and copy and paste the rest of the emails/skypes with out of stock message.

They couldn't be bothered to respond to my emails to [email protected] or my skype questions for days, and even after [email protected] started working they didn't respond until this morning where somehow they finally found the time to respond in both email and skype to tell me they are sold out.  That is some lame shit.  They need to just spend the money and have someone build a working website if they are too fricking busy to do it themselves.  There are tons of options for template based websites with shopping carts and SSL and support chat and whatever hell else you want.

Bad News:

Guess i wasn't fast enough - the fact that batch 2 is sold out should be an indicator that no fraud activity is happening, at least when communicating with official email address [email protected] - a scam would still have many units in stock

They dont respond on Skype/email (my experience and the same another 3 my friends). Very hard to buy something from them.

Woah, it's not like they are sending you money and need verification to be safe, they are the one receiving money. Isn't it as long as the bank transfer completes then they are satisfied on their end?

Side note, I wonder if some how you provide ID, they can match it with your bank information and do something fishy. Cause basically they will have your information to verify over the phone to the bank if needed. Seems like too much information needed.

PASSPORT / IDENTIFICATION

After completing a small order with Baikal (to test how they do business) and paying by bank transfer I was asked to provide Passport / ID to them by email. I find this a little odd.   Anybody else experience this?

I got my qoute monday 1625 for two cubes, i'll pay it in the am and see what happens next

Ah...there's the rub..you can go 'full evil' and get bitmain stuff...but they are currently out (which I hope they will do for the next 4 months
so they can mine and i can mine. Quality sucks I heard on these so probably you should at least get two.

So as of right now ...zip..but knowing bitmain they will shoot out an oversized and overpriced unit soon imho

It's what bitmain does......act like a 'toaster factory asic numbers in the thousands outfit

monday skype person said send email in above format I did so for 6 (split with buddy)

tuesday did follow up on skype and they said re-submit ....looking sketchy so i put another one in for 4 (split with buddy)

wens early am....skype person said all was well on my order...but I put another one in for 2 only (split with buddy)

Got form letter today they are out ..just after skype person said I was ok on an order in that she forwarded my problems

again probably for the best i heard they still were charging the 0.73 rate or btc from the last run of 300mh baikals
and with shipping some were saying 1010 usd ....with the btc hike...thus not here till May 15th....

probably a good thing...I'm equip fat on asic pow anyway...

and already got my one (maybe no roi) toy 300mh cube in the basement anyway..so shucks....

Well, that was an epic fail:

Received an email from Baikal at 3:21 AM on 4-26-2017 asking for the following:
1) Purchase quantity. (eg: Quad-Cube * 4)

2) Payment method. (bank transfer/BTC /DASH)

3) Detailed shipping address with phone.

4) Any special requirements


Sent Baikal an email for a quote as indicated on 4-26-17 4:01 AM. No reply.

Sent Baikal another email for a quote as indicated on 4-26-17 4:53 AM. No reply.

Sent Baikal a Skype message on 4-26-17 12:22 PM asking did they get my emails because I have not heard anything back yet. They wrote: "pls be patient, we have so many orders from email,my collegue will response you ASAP."

Sent Baikal another email for a quote as indicated on 4-26-17 7:25 PM. Got a response saying:
"Hi,
Sorry to tell you that the batch of cube and quad-cube miners were sold out again, and we have no idea when the next batch will arrive now.
If you have gotten a quotation from us（via email or skype）, please do the payment as we have quoted before the Beijing time of 10:00 PM in April 27th. Otherwise the your order will be canceled.
Please wait patiently and we will share you with the news about the new stock as soon as we can.

Some mess this has been, lol. The title of this thread truly expresses how this experience went. LOL

EDIT: Guess i should of sent like 10 emails before, since it seems they reply to selected emails randomly...
