It's been a while since I have read an article from unijoin and I agree with gazeta as well that this is more than the Bitcoin whitepaper itself but the history that it has included. Honesty, I've read some unfamiliar names and from there, I've already learned something new. It's good as the summary of the 9 page of the whitepaper including the resources. Coming from the worst great depression, into e-gold and now - Bitcoin. Good for the newbies to know the history, concept, came from and all of those ideas that can be taken to for them to know the roots of Bitcoin.

as GazetaBitcoin has already written, it is actually a must as a real Bitcoiner or for one who wants to be one to read through this article. in my opinion, this article also belongs in every thread that deals with the history and origins of Bitcoin.
a very comprehensive medium article written by UniJoin, which is, just like the others, absolutely worth reading

kudos UniJoin!

This is another interesting article and, from my perspective, it is a must-read one. The material does not relate only to the content of the white paper, but presents also a nice piece of history: the emails exchanged by Satoshi with Wei Dai and a comparison made by an ex-forum user (gwern) between the shape of the white paper presented initially to Wei Dai and its final form.

I am more than sure that those interested in Bitcoin history will appreciate this material.

UniJoin published a new article a week ago, and I'm surprised no one mentioned it.

I think this happened because people are more used to check UniJoin's Medium blog rather than the blog from their website.

I think that the visitors of this mixer are mainly users who came to the site to use the mixing service, certainly more than those who came for the blog. Plus, the article is located almost at the bottom of the page and is only noticeable to someone who scrolls down there. Users who have already visited the site do not need to go through the entire page every time.

In any case, with this occasion I found one interesting article there, which I don't remember to be mentioned:

Both articles are on the same subject and are worth reading.

I believe, and it's one thing I've said in several threads on the forum, that Satoshi got rid of the private keys to most of the Bitcoins he mined. It wouldn't make sense that such an altruistic person would be keeping them, and even more if we take into account his famous quote "lost Bitcoin is a donation." Obviously, this is something we cannot know with certainty because we do not have the means to verify it, but I think it is the most likely scenario.

Agree on this : Satoshi mined those 1 million BTC ( more than 1.1M  if I recall correctly) at the beginning because they were constantly running around 60% of hashing power with the sole aim of preventing a 51% attack to their newborn network.

So, not only it's the most likely scenario, but the more those  coin remains untouched and the more likely is they will never move.

When I read the title I thought I was not going to agree with what the article says, but let's say, not to give away the mystery to those of you who are going to read it, that what the title says is only partially true.

Anyway, I wanted to comment on one specific thing that is said even if it is not specifically about his political ideology but about his mentality.:

Quote
Clearly, he coded from a love of the technology rather from than a desire for fame. Since the code was open source, unpatented and offered widely to all, acquiring wealth does not appear to be the driving goal either.

Friends, we have published a new article "Satoshi’s politically neutral views" and we hope that you will learn something new and also look at the history of ten years ago from a new angle. Feel free to share your thoughts as this topic is actually not fully covered yet.  Smiley

As much as I like the free raffles, I think it's a terrible idea to combine the slogan "Your Anonymity Is Our Priority" with physical items delivered to your doorstep.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing, but you can always deliver this cards in simple envelope to PO Box with different name.
I wish there was some better way of anonymous worldwide shipping option, maybe something like I heard about anon shipping in Japan (not sure how it works in real life).

Another cool alternatve would be DIY 3d printed cards, if this is even possible.
In theory you receive the files online and you print them at your home to physical card.
Can someone make my dream ideas into reality please?  Cheesy

I took the liberty of translating the initial post into Italian since it wasn't there yet

Please have a look at it and let me know if I have messed up something in the formatting or if you notice that something is wrong.

Well done for the translation !

But you are affiliated with Unijoin in some way, as your are part of the sig campaign

You are correct on this.
My participation in their campaign is necessarily temporary (either because the campaign will end, or because I could withdraw my participation or the campaign manager could kick me out at any time) while that thread will remain on the internet basically forever. Once I will not be part of the campaign anymore it will be true.

Do you think I should add a further mention regarding my participation to the signature campaign?

Personally, when I need to have something delivered from the forum, I choose a letterbox belonging to a third party, or I use an empty box in a building and put the name of my choice on it (in my country, postman's key-passes are legal to buy as an individual).

People can always choose to have their items delivered where they want and with someone else's name on it. What I mean is that there's no proof that the cards are sent to the users' real addresses.

i might have an idea for the next UniJoin x Icarus cards free raffle. how would you like it, that again 16 spots (a-f & 0-9) are given away and this time only the users can participate, who are also participants in the UniJoin signature campaign from icopress in the current week (in which the raffle starts)?

So far 3 feedbacks were provided (by iwantmyhomepaidwithbtc2, by ajiz138 and by me) and, hopefully, more will come Smiley In the end, all these ideas can help for a better organization, right?

If the icarus cards are, as I understand, physical cards that have to be sent to me by regular mail, count on one less. I don't want anyone to know my address, and until recently I had a post office box but recently cancelled it. I guess I'm not the only one who thinks this way, so I think 16 for 20 or so participants will be enough.

I guess the logical thing to do is count as participating only those who sign up, as iwantmyhomepaidwithbtc2 comments.

right and should be and become the target of a discussion.
i also wanted to write that in the coming numerous raffles may have also applied other variants... i am also curious how UniJoin organizes everything else

btw there will be another 17 card raffles and UniJoin can create few more rules Wink

Well... if UniJoin takes this decision there is nothing to do about that and we all will respect it. However, from you earlier post I understood that you are looking for some feedback about the new proposed idea... So I wrote my opinion.
