[banned mixer] is scamming out.

If you head over to [banned mixer] and start a mix then download the letter of guarantee you'll see the address is 1CrypMixUKiXduy6J42nEzm4Z9CpJuXptS which cryptomixer has specified is a scam address? How can this happen if i'm on the correct website ([banned mixer]).

I lost 14,000 USD. I believe the site is hacked or most likely scamming out and support are not replying.

Ripped their site. They have 49 pre-generated letters they rotate between.

CryptoMixer dot com? I don't think they own this website. Take a look at the title of the topic: CryptoMixer dot IO.

The .com website has a different address from the real one (.io), at the bottom of their page:

1CrypMixXWtTjYGCM5ZJmyQYP1Y39P7aLM (real = .io)
1CrypMix3UPkoKWoF1hjYe19bQQ11pJevL (fake = .com)

Yep, my bad. Disregard lol.

That .com should probs be added to the phishing list.

But now - obviously - you guys are randomly generating Letters of Guarantee which are signed with another btc address. Here is my letter of guarantee which I received from your website, see for yourself:

~letter~
You should have checked the letter before sending the coins, then. Its purpose is for you to verify you can actually accuse them if anything goes wrong.

I doubt they would randomly generate invalid letters to random customers when someone could be verifying every single one of them (as they should), which would unmask their "scam".

What you can do to make sure that the Letter of Guarantee has been generated not by third side besides checking the signature is to check the signing address provided in the Letter of Guarantee on the blockchain explorer. Our original signing address has been generated back in 2016 and has 32 pages of donation transactions on about 40 BTC in total and has never changed:

I have used [banned mixer] yesterday ( 2021-02-03 ) and sent you 0.22REMOVED BTC to your following wallet:
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/REMOVED

My receiving wallet did not receive anything from you since then.

I am 100% sure that I used your real website http://[banned mixer] because I have a bookmark on my browser and the mixing worked fine last year several times.

But now - obviously - you guys are randomly generating Letters of Guarantee which are signed with another btc address.

Hi caterlamar,

I do understand your concern. We take a very responsible approach to every such report. We have checked everything several times. This operation hasn't been generated on our servers.

What you can do to make sure that the Letter of Guarantee has been generated not by third side besides checking the signature is to check the signing address provided in the Letter of Guarantee on the blockchain explorer. Our original signing address has been generated back in 2016 and has 32 pages of donation transactions on about 40 BTC in total and has never changed:

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1CrypMixXWtTjYGCM5ZJmyQYP1Y39P7aLM

You will easily see if it is the freshly new generated address of scammers, like this one:

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1CrypMixUKiXduy6J42nEzm4Z9CpJuXptS

I'm 100% sure i dont visit some clone, i dont turn off my computer or close the page, so i contact the suport chat via that page....
I also dont change nothing, use the same navigator, not extentions, no virus (double check).
Some minutes after that i try to generate another letter and everything good... so it happen some times only...
I'm a web developer, i check the letter download link and is:

So now way is from other website clone, i also use https.

I think is better for they if they work 99% of the time well and steal 1%.
That 1% will be ofuscated... like me... people will not trust me.

I just what to tell that to users, to be carefull, or maybe they review their code.

Maybe some guy of the team, make some internal code to steal some times... and the rest of the team dont know...

Thats what i think...

I will investigate this more...

And sorry for my bad english

Why would they decide to rip people off when they've been in the market for 4 or 5 years? Why now when they had the opportunity to do it long ago?

Are you 100% sure that you have not visited a clone using special characters in the domain name for example?
There's certainly a reason, on your side or theirs, but I would be very surprised if this mixer decides to vanish.

Hello folks, so i got a kinda special occasion which i wanna share with you to hopefully get support from [banned mixer] team.

i use cryptomixer for many years and was always satisfied with their service, so i put a lot of trust in them.
i mix coins kinda regular for different reasons and as far as i can recall i never had any issue, beside one time i got into a fake site.

so i was mixing a lot of times the last days and keep all my tabs opened on my machine since its running 24/7 anyways. i also always use my personal [banned mixer] code to get the discount.

so 2 days ago i sent a larger amount with too low fees, combined with the heavy traffic from the last days the transaction took way more than 24h to finish and till now did not got forwarded. when i checked other open windows in my tab (from previous mixings) it shows that [banned mixer] did not forward the whole amount and a lot of transactions got "stuck".

unfortunately i forgot to download the letter of guarantee for one transaction, but the browser is still open and can be inspected by the [banned mixer] team if they are willing to take on the case.

long story short: made a lot of mixing transactions, let windows open, seeing not everything got forwarded + one whole transaction is missing due to delayed confirmation by the blockchain.

im seeking out for help we are talking about  1-2 bitcoin overall which is quiet a bit worth today.

i am asking you openly to contact me privately so i can provide as much information as i can. i DONT have the letter of guarantee for one of the transactions. this should NOT BE A PROBLEM since you will be able to check if the adress is yours. its completely impossible that its a fake site since i opened the website once, mixed successfully, rightclicked open in another tab and so on.
also i ALWAYS use my CODE to get the discount, there is NO WAY it is a phishing site.

as already stated the browser window is still OPEN so you can LIVE INSPECT that its your actual site.
you could connect via teamviewer for example as long my laptop doesnt shut down.

i beg you for an answer and hopefully some personal support.

best regards

Hello,

48 hours ago, I sent 4 different btc transactions to be mixed. I have used your service before with no problem. These latest were larger amounts.

No btc has arrived. I sent an email to support but no one has replied.

I have the 4 letters of guarantee, which I can provide. Can someone help me? I am very upset.

Their server gave me a letter of guarantee with a wrong digital signature. Stupid me didn´t check before sending the coins but I´m not that stupid that I don´t double check if I´m on https://[banned mixer] or not.

I’m sorry this has happened to you. If you follow this  announcement you will find that your case is the 3-rd one reported. [banned mixer] over years earns its reputation and loyal customers. We spent a lot of efforts developing it. We have no intention to ruin it. We understand that our work is built on trust. It is much more important for us to keep a client than to get a one-time benefit.

If you say that you have managed to check your browser history, than more likely you have used a clearnet browser to access our website. There are numerous schemes that scammers can use, besides phishing-websites. I.e. https-spoofing described here. That is why we always recommend to validate the Letter of Guarantee. Don't neglect this if you mix the reasonable amount. Scammers are evolving. Be careful
