Even for computer and internet geeks it can be mind-blowing to protect themselves from being cheated as almost every day digital world prepares new sophisticated tricks and hacking possibilities. No one is insured against scammers who do not sleep to steal our private data or money.
Be aware that fake onion addresses are widely spread and we kindly ask you to be attentive and check the TOR address you are going to visit twice before sending money anywhere. If you want to use [banned mixer] service for mixing btc and stay maximum anonymous, you may use our official TOR mirror which is the one and the only mixtum5lbuslyow2.onion
You may try how our TOR version works any time by executing free trial.  Please be informed that the transaction amount has to be 0,001 BTC (not less or more) and only one forward address can be used.
We invite you to leave a short review about our service on our official bitcointalk thread. We are very particular about every comment our clients leave.

Hello everyone!

MixTum has been off the radar lately but we haven’t been sitting idly. The multiple requests regarding the extension of language options our clients kept putting in have finally been sorted out. From now on, /][banned mixer] will operate in two more languages - German and Russian.

Please note that adding new language options means website localization and we will continue providing technical support only in English for the time being.

We feel excited about making our mixing services more available and comprehensive for new audiences around the world. What languages would you like to see enabled on our website? Maybe Español? Français? Comment below.

Meanwhile, we invite German and Russian native speakers to help us with proof-reading. Your feedback will be highly appreciated.

Hi everyone!

Please welcome our new website layout. We see a lot of value in your feedback and in our attempts to act upon some of the inputs from our 'testers' we made a decision to revamp the design of the /]MixTum website. We can't wait any longer to share this awesome news with all of you. Despite the mobile layout of the website still being under development, its desktop version is already live! The adaptive layout should be ready by the end of this week. Your feedback on our new design would be very much appreciated. Visit /][banned mixer] and share your thoughts with us.

Moreover, the MixTum mixing service is now available directly through the telegram bot. Find @mixtum_bot and follow the instructions. Very easy to use. Requires no more additional steps on your end.

Tested the website with the free mixing service of 0.001btc. Everything went fine and I got received my coins in about 5 hours.

Thank you for taking time to post your feedback in our thread.

I would also have to say that delay time should be set by the user. While this will increase the security it is a disadvantage because some people would like to receive their coins in a very short time, while others may need their coins only after a longer period of time. Also some users need their coins in a fixed period of time, so they instantly reject your mixer out of their list.

We have already mentioned in some of our answers above that a non-adjustable time-frame is a security measure. However, based on the feedback we received from several users here and our recent market research findings, we made a decision to incorporate this in the ‘light mixing’ mode. This option will feature a lower quality of cleansing and level of anonymity compared to the original one, but offer much shorter time frames.

The fee is OK for lower amounts but when we are talking about 10-20 BTC things start to change. My recommendation is to change fees depending of the mixing amount. For example, if the mixing amount exceed 5 BTC the fees will be lowered to 2.5% (just an example, but you got the point).

that's an interesting point we'll think it over

I like the fact that the generated adress is valid for 7 days. Many mixing services have only a 24-48 hours time frame for addresses wich is not enough to make sure the transaction will receive one confirmation.

Again thank you for your feedback

Things I've noticed testing MixTum

Wrong mixed amount:
I didn't use the "free trial", but the normal mixing. I sent 0.00129108 Bitcoin, and the Fee Calculator shows I would receive 0.00108 Bitcoin. But I received only 0.0007 Bitcoin. Is there an error in the calculation somewhere?

Update: I just checked, and the remaining funds arrived. Why is it sent in 2 parts, if it's send to the same address anyway?

In standard mode we usually do 2 or more transactions to your output address(es). This way you receive coins from multiple different sources.

Miscellaneous:
Typo: comission > commission.
Time 6 hours: from what I've read, this is random (mine went through much faster). A random time is good for privacy, but could be made more clear. The FAQ says 1 to 8 hours, so I suggest to just write: "Time 1-8 hours".

Thanks for the advice; we will definitely tweak it in the future.

After my deposit was confirmed, I refreshed my browser. This produced another deposit address, while I was hoping to see the current status of my mixing.

Thanks for pointing it out. We will research this behavior and see if there is any technical problem involved.
As for the status, that page only shows the publicly available block chain information taken straight from blockchain.info. This is not the status of your transaction per se; it’s there just for your convenience, so you can see that your funds have entered the system. We don’t provide the actual status on your transactions due to security considerations (I think this has been mentioned above in this thread).

Maximum amount to mix is 50 Bitcoin. Are mixing funds owned by you, or does Jambler take care of all funding?

Jambler arranges the inflow of funds provided by investors from stock exchanges, as necessary. They only keep a small-ish buffer of coins at hand.

Is it possible to use a Bitcoin signed message for the Letter of Guarantee? That's much more standard for mixers, and it's easier to verify (having a Bitcoin wallet is enough). I didn't verify the Letter of Guarantee.

Yes, many use this approach, which is alternative to what we currently use. We always support whatever is more convenient for the customer, so if we see that enough people want this, we may switch.

Curious:
What does "mixtum" stand for? I'm not a native English speaker, and I can't figure it out Tongue

It comes from Latin language. Word ‘mixtum’ is one of the forms of Latin verb ‘misceō’ which means - to mix. On the other hand, the word 'mixtum' may be divided into two parts: Mix (mixer) and Tum (tumbler), which we see as mixer2 or mixer 2.0

stock exchanges are in fact big mixers that accumulate funds in their wallets.
It's safe to assume exchanges log everything, and keep logs forever. This is the opposite of what a mixer should do.

Quote
Unlike classic mixers, we do not have a link in the blockchain between the investor and the client.
But unlike classic mixers, at least many parts of the mixing process are being logged.

Quote
As you know, stock exchanges require KYC, have withdrawal limits and are against the situation of one user having several accounts. Therefore, the cleansing technology of large amounts of money through stock exchanges using only their accounts is extremely difficult. [banned mixer] solves such problems, buys output transactions through Jambler.io from independent investors, and resells them to its customers.
The main thing I'm curious about: how does receiving funds from exchanges through your mixer work? Say "a criminal Bitcoin" is deposited, sent to an exchange, and someone else withdraws that same Bitcoin from the same exchange. How does that make it "cleaner"? I expect exchanges to require full KYC and AML from their customers, how can they do business with Bitcoin mixers, who rely on anonymity? You make it sound as if independent investors use their own personal accounts to launder money through exchanges.

Yes, your understanding of how it works in general is close to the truth.
Jambler.io directly works not with stock exchanges, but with private investors who have personal accounts on different stock exchanges. No doubt, that blockchain and stock exchanges store everything, but by working with different stock exchanges from various countries allows jambler.io to diversify the assets which platform uses and to minimize risks of its end users.

Thanks for all your comments. Your feedback has been really helpful and constructive.

I used your mixer. The first fact that called my attention was the site jambler.io. As I understand it, this is a whitelabel mixer.

Correct, we launched our mixer based on jambler.io platform.

I found this idea very interesting, a great business opportunity.

Yes, we found the concept of Jambler.io is fresh & promising as well.

But it is unclear if your site is using their service or if you are responsible for it. I say this because the responsibility for the coins sent is even more distant. And the actual service provider is more likely to disappear easily.

This is a tricky point, but after all investigations of jambler we made they proved us that the platform is transparent enough.
So we made a go decision and we are responsible for mixing service we provide power by jambler. We generate letters of guarantee to users.

The site is simple and fast, with no unnecessary animations. That's great. When I went to send my BTC the following message appears:

"Enter your Bitcoin forward to address below:"

I thought this message could create unnecessary confusion for anyone who wants to use the service and is not so familiar with the English language. Could not it be like in others where a payment address appears and a place to put the destination address?

Not sure if I get your comment correctly. Could you please clarify it using a different wording.

I think demonstrating a clearer process could help when something goes wrong. The fee is very, very high. Even more with other services offering diverse options for payment and much lower fees. The time is much shorter than that of 6 hours. I found it reasonably fast when compared to other services. Overall it seemed good service.

Thank you for your comments

Thank you for your fast reply.
I just sent 0.001 to your mixer and I will update this post ofter receiving them back.

Thank you for your readiness to test our micer and to share your experience here with others. Appreciate that.

Quote
Firstly and to be honest, I didn't like the design and the colors of the website.

Thank you for your feedback. Be sure, your comment is heard - we already initiated internal work on the redesign of our website.

Quote
Secondly, why did you set the waiting time to 6 hours, it should be set by the customer.

Classical mixers usually offer this functionality, whereas we see this is as a weak point in security. We do not set the time 6 hours - it is randomly chosen time frame up to 6 hours. in other words mixing process may take less than 6 hours. We do not allow customer to set time, because, according to our experience in most case customers chose minimal time frame, which does not allow us to provide the declared level of anonymity.

Quote
Also, 5% is too high, other mixers offer the same service with lower fees (also the customer should be able to adjust fees).

As I mentioned before in my previous replies, unlike classical mixers we offer higher level of mixing service which is achieved by using another approach / algorithm powered by jambler.io platform. The key difference lies in cleansing bitcoins through the chain of output transactions from cryptocurrency stock exchanges. And again, as I mentioned above our fee is also randomly set in between 4 to 5 percent.

Where is the session ID? How could I check the status of my session and if I want to complain about something wrong how would I do so without the session ID??

To use session or tracking ID's is also insecure. We generate letters of guarantee for each order. You can always complain using the letter of guarantee.

Succefully received btc for test. Successfully Tried the test trial. Successfully received the mixed coins.

By making the test operation as a suplementary option on the site, a test process is probably different from main process (tester use the free trial that doesn't know if it's running in the same way as paid session) ; so there is no solid reason to ask feedbacks from testers using the free trial*.

You are right, there are several minor differences in test and main procedures and they are the following. In a test mode you can set only one forward to address whereas in the main mode you can set multiple (two). In a test mode fewer investors' wallets involved. All the rest is the same.

Quote
If by admiting it's the same process for both free and paid processes, here my notes:

- Site is very easy to use in a standard way. Just didn't like the design (fully black and white) so you may think about adding some colors to not make the use of your service looks bored than effecient, as should make it harder to create a simple copy of your site (avoid scammers/thiefs).[/quote]
In order to launch the mixer as fast as it is possible we took a template layout offered by jambler.io platform keeping in mind the necessity to redo it (website layout) in the near future. Thank you for your comment.

Quote
- Signing the letter of guarantee with a PGP signature is the most effecient way to assume obligation towards your clients, and extreme security as well. (waiting for testers to confirm the signed letters as i don't have a pgp client installed)
We have a tutorial on how verify a PGP-signed message using Gpg4win which is published here - https://jambler.io/howto.php#pgp if you need.
We also use a transparent approach - all the transactions could be checked in blockchain. If needed I can explain it in more detailed way.

Quote
- Maximum amount to be mixed for one order is 50BTC so how you aprove that you controle such big amounts (standardly we ask for a signed btc msg from a wallet holding that amount but i don't know how this may function with wallets held by exchanges) even you are using platform Jambler.io which i can assume that only few know about its system. As TryNinja said: After all, you don't have any reputation.
As I replied to TryNinja before - we use a different business model. we don't have to store in the core of our mixer over 50 btc, because we purchase output transactions through jambler.io from hundreds of traders from cryptocurrency stock exchanges. We usually have enough money to fulfil the volume of incoming orders. Even if there is a lack of money we can easily access to jambler's sellers database and purchase more transactions in a real time frame. You can also test how it works and register as a seller on jambler.io

Quote
- Fees: 5%+0.00015 BTC is a good offer for such anonymization level, especially for those willing to mix big amounts but this won't help you to start because they will also ask for much lower fees (mixing 50btc will cost about 2.5btc which is extremely high). Also it should be mentioned if the fees are applicable per one order or per one forwarding address.
We believe the level of anonymity we offer is worth paying up to 5% for it. We charge commission per order.

Quote
- Multiple addresses is a good feature but limited to only 2 so you may ameliorate this feature by adding more receiving addresses (may apply the fee for each one). Also, it should be mentioned how the mixed amount would be splitted between the addresses or let the user specify a percentage or split for his bitcoin.
As for offering more than 2 forward addresses - thank you, we plan to implement it in the near future. Coming back to flexibility and customization options as I've already mentioned in me reply to TryNinja - it is always customer's choice. We see this as a weak point from security standpoint.

Quote
Suggestions:

- Website should generate an ID number for each order; would help for complaints and reviews.
Again, using mixing ID's is not good for security reasons. I mentioned this in my reply to TryNinja, please see above.

Quote
- Delay time is fixed to 6 hours: Some sessions will hold small amounts that doesn't deserve to be delayed for up to 6 hours, when for big amounts, it is recommended to set long delay time to make chain-analysis harder.
According to our research 6 hour delay is enough to minimise the risk of volume analysis. We come from the following perspective - around 1000 transactions form 1 block, each block is mined on average in every 10 minutes, so we have over 36000 transactions to hide in, which is a pretty good statistical error.

Quote
- In the long run, a chat-support on the site or telegram would be nice to have as this would allow users to easily raise emergency concerns about the site if there are any technical issues occurring during the process in mixing their bitcoin.
Agree, thank you for the comment. We will definitely work this out and  come to our audience soon with kinda omni-channel model.

I've started the mixing process and already sent the coins.

How does the random time delay works? I've tried different devices, browsers, IPs and I'm always getting 6 hours.

It is normal that it always shows you 6 hours. The delay is randomly chosen, but limited to these 6 hours. Unlike other platforms, we don't allow the users to change this random range on their own, because the human nature is predictable, especially his behaviour. Sooner or later manual time set option will lead a person to mistake. According to our research 6 hour delay is enough to eliminate the risk of volume analysis. We come from the following standpoints - around 1000 transactions form 1 block, each block is mined on average in every 10 minutes, so we have over 36000 transactions to hide in, which is a pretty good statistical error, isn't it?

Quote
Just a few quick suggestions:

- Lower your fees. Seriously. There are at least 6 other mixers with a better well-design website, a better reputation, more features and better fees than yours. 5% is a steal.

yes, you are right, and I would accept all the above comments, except one which I believe pays all the rest and lets [banned mixer] to stand out - it is its mixing algorithm. [banned mixer] is powered by Jambler.io a mixing platform which allows to use a totally different mixing approach from so called classical mixers and to minimise the risk of cluster and taint analysis. [banned mixer] purchases through Jambler.io output transactions from hundreds of traders from cryptocurrency stock exchanges.
Moreover, each transaction passes scoring procedure before coming in. When you use classical mixer there is no guarantee that customer money is not mixed with cryptocurrency of illicit origin. In other words, a use of classic mixers may lead to that cryptocurrency of questionable provenance will take part in the mixing process and what is more, return of a part of cryptocurrency back to its owner is not ruled out.
And the last, but definitely not least thing is that these as we call them 'investors' money we don't mix with customer's money. When using classical mixer there might be a risk of getting your own money back. Moreover, this risk increases with a regular use of one and the same mixer.

By the way, just FYI - our commission randomly vary between 4 and 5 percent

Quote
- Let the user choose his delay time. Sometimes he may be in a hurry and don't want to wait 6~8 hours.

As I mentioned in my previous comment it is not secure that much.

Quote
- Let the user add more than one output and choose a delay and percentage of the mixed coins for each address. More options and customisation should be a must for every mixer.

We offer two output addresses for regular (not trial) mixing. Our experience shows that two addresses are enough for most users, but we are considering adding more outputs in the near future.

Letting the user choose the delay and percentage breakdown would interfere with out mixing algorithm which tries to minimise the need for change addresses. It picks wallets for withdrawal such that there is no change remaining most of the time. This makes our algorithm much more resistant to cluster analysis. We try to make the service as convenient as possible, but when there is a trade-off, we prioritise security. There are plenty of services out there who chose a different path, so it's always up to the customer whether to chose more flexibility and user friendliness over better anonymity and higher security of their assets.

Quote
- Add a mixing ID or something like this so the user can track his mixing order. It should be also available on the Letter of Guarantee.

The use of mixing IDs would mean that we have to store data about your operations for extended periods of time, which we believe is insecure, and storing that data only until the transaction is completed would be pointless. Many considerations went into this decision, including that story when a large number of mixing IDs was indexed by Google and ended up in public access.

Quote
Btw, you say that you can mix amounts as big as 50BTC per request, so why are you so afraid of giving 0.001BTC to a couple of users? It's not about being an "eternal generator of BTC", but there were a few mixers giving 0.01BTC per review to ~20 users, while you're looking to give 0.0013BTC per review to only 5 users. That does not give me the security of you having that much money.

I'll update my post when I receive my coins in ~6 hours.

We use a different business model. Since we purchase output transactions from hundreds of traders from cryptocurrency stock exchanges we usually have enough money to fulfil a steady volume of incoming orders.Even if there is a lack of money we can easily access to jambler's sellers database and purchase more transactions in a real time frame. BTW, you can test how it works and register as a seller on jambler.io

A referral program would need the implementation of more complicated tools (profiles,logins,IDs...) ;don't know how you can handle with it for now.

*Thanks for the tip but if you just sent a little more, i was able to test in the paid mirror where you would deduct the fees, so this will really cost you nothing to receive more honest feedback.
