If not pant then possible alternatives are KL Rahul or DK.
D Kartik and KL Rahul shouldn't be near the T-20 WC squad.

They got their chances already and shat the bed royally in the last T-20 WC. We shouldn't forget how poorly KL performed in the Australia leg of WC, first maiden over became mandatory when he opened for India. DK is also a WC fraud lol, in every T-20 WC cycle he performs exceptionally well in the IPL only to get dropped in the WC after a few matches.

So who are the options, Ishan Kishan? I don't think he won't even be a part of 15 squad members as well as Rahul cause it's fixed that VK and Hitman will open so the WK batsmen should be someone from middle order that leaves the options are Pant, Samson, DK and outside chance of Jitesh.

I can see many unofficial reports claims that Pant is already set to be a part of the WC squad. Anyway we will know the complete squad on or before May 1.

Do some reason or the other I think this time Samson will get picked and if Pant bats again well he will get an opportunity. Samson fan club has again become active after his team and himself playing well. After watching yesterday's match between SRH and RCB, one thing I am certain that SRH batters are pathetic in chasing the target. If they bat first then SRH has a chance of winning the match otherwise they will lose. What do you guys think about Abhishek Sharma can he replace an all rounder in question, who also is the captain of MI.

Found this circulating on r/ipl. This is the squad picked up by Sanjay Manjarekar. Stange he did not pick up Kohli

The orange cap does not make any big change it is the consistency and the ability to increase the SR that makes a difference. I am not sure why we are considering him at the moment. Siraj is not in form and he is not the bowler India needs at the moment, others like Harshal Patel, Sandeep Sharma, and Yash Thakur can replace him. One bowler I am sure will be part of the team is Kuldeep Yadav, as he is known for breaking partnerships.

Pant lacks game time since he met with accident so he took few matches initially now coping up with the strike rate, also he is doing what he can do considering the franchise he played which is not doing well at all.

Kuldeep, Jadeja, Bumrah will be there for sure again Axar also doing well but he has slot???

If not pant then possible alternatives are KL Rahul or DK.

Pant is now at the number 3 position for orange cap contender which means he is consistent with his scoring but the strike rate can be a concern cause he is known for his destructive batting style but he is knocking around 130-140ish for various reasons. But I feel he is potential match winner and got better records while playing overseas conditions.

If not Siraj then I will go for known commodity like Bhuvi since this is T20 WC so I don't think selectors will be only looking at the stats of IPL.
In IPL his SR is not a big concern and he has a juicy SR here, the problem comes when he features in T-20 Internationals.

Everything goes drastically down be it SR, Average or his impact in the match, overall looks like a washed up T-20 player in his 66 outing for India.

Controlling your feelings could become hard when the stakes are high so sometimes it happens in the IPL, not a good look for sure but when your team is on a losing streak then it's bound to happen at some point.

We see Kohli in such a state of mind due to the RCB women's team winning the WPL. The pressure is immense on him and the team does not care, it would be better if the owners sell their stakes to someone or an organization that cares about winning the trophy than using a few players to increase their earnings.

Virat, Rohit, SKY, Pant/Samson, Rinku, Hardik, Jaddu, Kuldeep, Bumrah,Siraj, 'pacer'

In my opinion this will be the possible playing XI for T20 WC from India and all we can see is one slot for medium pacer if Shami will be unavailable for WC too.

Lot of players exploded in this IPL but I don't think everyone will be given chance at all, possibly in bilateral series post WC.

IMO Pant needs to show some T20isque consistency before selectors bother with him. On Siraj, the way he gets butchered while bowling for RCB, selectors might want to look for an alternative.

Also, I feel selectors may be keeping eye on Shivam Dube and Abhishek Sharma — Abhishek has been hitting the ball cleanly, really tough chance as plenty competition in top order positions but may get into 15 squad.

Pant played well yesterday but I agree with libert19 that he needs to bat more and get a century. Do not forget that DK has been consistent throughout this season with his bat he can be a contender. Ishan Kishan has better stats till now than Sanju Samson but he will not be selected for sure by BCCI as a punishment. Rohit Sharma has not been consistent but he has been already named as the captain. I do feel Hardik Pandya will be dropped and someone else will get a chance in place of him.
Hardik Pandya has not been able to bat and bowl well this season, maybe that's why he might be left out of the Indian main team in the upcoming T20 World Cup. You are right that Rohit Sharma is not consistent but he has already scored a century against Chennai Super Kings but they failed to win that match. Rohit Sharma has already captained the Indian team for the upcoming T20 World Cup so his position is ripe. Jaswal on the other hand might get a chance because he is already back in good form and is run regularly and even has an impeccable century. If we compare between Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik then maybe Rishabh Pant will be the main choice of the selectors. It is true that Dinesh Karthik has already played some good matches but doing better than that at the moment is Rishabh Pant. Moreover, Rishabh Pant being young can also be a reason for the selectors' preference.

Did you watch the match yesterday? CSK was in a good position to win, but Stoinis played well and helped LSG secure the victory.
Nah, i missed it and didn't watch a single ball.

It's wrong but big players do tend to throw tantrums. Even the likes of Dhoni and Dravid lost their cool in the heat.

A fair amount of lopsided decisions for wide-ball DRS reviews and the recent Punjab vs Mumbai had a couple of such moments. To make things worse, there was some intervention from MI's dugout for DRS review and on field umpire ignored the fielders' objection.

If that is a tantrum, it is wrong to show off it in an era where social media rules. I understand his frustration and his team's dependency on him but hitting the garbage can and arguing with the umpire is not acceptable. Imagine if such a situation occurs in an ICC event, I do remember a similar situation in the previous T20WC against PAK but that was correct on his part. Dhoni I am aware that once in a while he lost his cool but Dravid I am hearing it for the first time. I might have missed that scene or might have forgotten.

Only 15 spots are for a grab and surely a tough job ahead for the selectors.

Did you watch the match yesterday? CSK was in a good position to win, but Stoinis played well and helped LSG secure the victory. I was impressed with Shivam Dubey's effortless sixes and I think he has a great chance of being selected for the WC squad. Rituraj Gaikwad also looked like a promising batter who could make it to the team. Do you think any newcomers will get a position? Also, what do you think about Riyan Parag's performance so far? Do you think the selectors will consider him? Shiraz, Mukesh, Ashdeep, and Avesh Khan haven't been performing well this season, but Sandeep Sharma got five wickets after his injury and could be a strong contender for the WC team

CSK batsmen set a good and tough target of 210 to LSG batsmen.  But their batsmen showed hard work and struggle in the match and won the match.Stoinis made 124 runs off 63 balls.  This batsman had performed well in the match.  And apart from that the batsmen also work hard in the match and won the match.Nicholas Pooran the batsman scored 35 runs off 15 balls this batsman also worked hard and struggle in the match.LSG team won the match by scoring runs with a lot of hard work and struggle.  Their batsmen won the match by supporting each other. If the CSK bowlers had taken 2-3 wickets, the match would have been in their hands.  But their bowler did not take more than 4 wickets.

Come one @JSRAW! Virat is not bigger than the TV umpire and I do not think that the umpiring has been shit. I mean everything decision by the umpires now gets referred to the TV umpire. Virat has lost it and it is evident from the videos that has come up when he was heading to the dressing room. RCB management does not care about the team anymore as it did when Vijay Mallaya was the owner of this team.

Did anyone notice the bad captaincy of Hardik Pandya lately he is the worst as a captain and it is proven in the match against RR. Apart from his captaincy, he has not been able to get runs with his bat and wickets with his bowling. I am sure he will be dropped by the selectors in the upcoming T20WC, there are far better all-rounders than him in the current situation.

Kohli's frustration with his teammates is apparent on his face during matches.

Regarding out or not-out, I feel he was out, he was out of the batting crease, had he been within the crease, ball would have been within his reach.
From the front camera, it looked not out but side on angle clearly shows that he's out of the crease so there shouldn't be any big debate.

I feel it's only become a talking point because umpiring has been shit in this season and the fact it's Virat's dismissal.

Yesterday's match between RCB and KKR is getting viral because of the behavior of Virat Kohli against the umpires. Do you think the out of Kohli was a correct decision if not then why? If yes, then is his attitude that he above all justified with his approach towards the umpires? Do share your thoughts about this incident, I feel he is getting frustrated with an incompetent team and his frustration came out yesterday.
