It's very hard to be responsible when it comes to gambling, I say this because it involves money and people don't just want to gamble for fun, they gamble because they want profits and that's where the big Achilles' heel is. because if someone loses money that person's tendency will be to continue playing until he manages to win and make a profit, as long as that person has no profit he will not give up playing. Let's imagine that someone is very responsible, this person decides to take $100 and makes a bet and loses, then this person starts to get upset because he lost and takes $50 to buy food and decides to play and lose, then he takes another $50 which was to buy food and lose, this cycle will repeat itself until he wins, the problem is that even when he wins he will not cover the losses, but he will not think about it, on the contrary he will be happy because he won even if he still has losses and stop being responsible

As responsible gambler, we can still define what is right and what is wrong. Many gamblers just forget about it as because they lose their mind already.
Maintaining to be responsible is another task.

As you've said about pushing yourself will make you addicted to it. Just be true to yourself and know what weakness you have in gambling. Make know it to yourself that your weakness can lead you to a bad result.

Not only in gambling results but as well as in the aspect of your living.

With that being said, I wouldn't recommend perceiving poker as a money making activity. With a wrong approach,  you can still get addicted and lose a lot of money with it. Be a responsible gambler.
In my opinion, without exception all gambling game will make players addicted to both luck-based game and skill game such as poker. All of them allow us to lose money, and we must take responsibility for any kind of game we will play. There is no pressure to take responsibility for certain categories of play in gambling, as long as it can result in players losing money then they should always be responsible gambler.

You have to check and balance both your bankroll and the time you spent from this activity,

Addiction is very possible to any kind of gambling, even you are trying your best to be responsible there's still a chance that you'll
end up getting addicted and losing a lots of money, keep in mind that everything should be balance and not to exceed to keep yourself away from getting addicted and losing more.
But maybe with a losing streak that is often experienced, at least it will make him aware and become more responsible by changing his habits. Gambling addiction will only happen to those who get big wins and have a lot of money ready to spend, therefore they will continue to make bets every day and then only experience and self-awareness will make them more responsible.
Sooner or later even the addicted gambler will have to learn by his own mistakes. At some point the addicted individual will get tired of this situation and after so many losses he will finally seek for a change in his life. That is the only way addiction can be overcame, because the will of change must come from the sick individual and not from people around him, like family, relatives, friends and doctors.
Sometimes being a responsible gambler takes time and a lot of effort to be achieved, but like you said, through experience and self-awareness it's pretty possible and once this happens the gambler will feel a very gratifying sensation.
Yes, being a responsible gambler is really tough. I used to set the limits on spending. Lets spend $10, this is the initial mind. I never expect the return, if I win something it gives happiness. But, I wasn't able to stop if I didn't get anything or lost it. This is the addictive mind, and not the one who keeps gambling. Slowly I'm experiencing change in me. Hoping to see my new days soon.
That is already a good beginning for you, congratulations. Your inner change will keep progressing if you stay focused on your goal and maintain your self esteem high along the way. It's not always a smooth journey to overcome this addiction, as there are days which are worse than others due to human's mood nature and other unpredictable problems that happen suddenly in life, it's interesting to have side activities to adopt during these days or during an exceptional moment you feel you can't stop gambling. An active social routine is also very helpful if people around are good influences, of course.

This is one of the most important things to remember to always remember that gambling is a hobby and not a priority. Work, family, friends and hobbies etc are all more important than playing in an online casino. If we have free time and money it is better to gamble for a few hours a week that is great.
but when we hold back and don't spend time with our loved ones or shirk responsibilities at work and prefer and prioritize gambling over that, that's a sign for worry.
When you're a gambler and you're starting to affect relationship with your family, friends and relatives. There's something wrong already and you should stop what you do.

You need to look at the cause of that ruckus with your relationship with them and that's the most important matter that you need to remember as a gambler. Relationship with your family is the most important thing and you'll never go wrong choosing them than gambling.

People can get addicted to anything so it makes sense that any gambling game can do that as well, for example there are some people that are addicted to exercise and while that may seem like a good thing as they are in great shape at the same time we need rest to heal our muscles after a long session of exercise, but those people do not do that eventually hurting themselves to the point they can no longer function proving once again that it does not matter at what you get addicted to this is never a good thing.

Not actually a hobby because if you do call it or treat it as a hobby then you would just definitely making yourself to get addicted because doing it on active
Very correct to have noted that part of it being a hobby. You know the general idea about having hobbies is about something you like doing often. A regular thing kind of and gambling being that regular thing wouldn't just bring about addiction but would choke you financially if you know what I mean. Little wonder why there have been some or should I say a lot of suicidal deaths from failures in gambling.

Again, the general idea presented is cool, having gambling as not being a priority but then, that other thing that you can do for fun, as a test of your predictability and also something you do with friends just to prove how well you know of the games at the casino table and possibly make some cash. Otherwise, gambling fir a career,,, goodluck with that!

manner would surely mold you into something and thats why nothing beats out when you do just play for the sake of entertainment and dont do it on regular basis because not all the times we would really be needing that.

Even if you do have money to spent then you should really be careful on the possible addiction that you would get because once you do have this kind of
problem then getting away from it is hard.

I wasn't able to stop if I didn't get anything or lost it. This is the addictive mind,
Yes, it is a sign of addiction. You must control your emotion and mind, this is the way of losing everything if you can't control it. Not only limit the spending/funds, but you also need to limit the time for gambling. Spending too much time on gambling and careless/forget about social activities is also an indication of addiction. Avoid wasting too much time on gambling daily, your life isn't only about gambling. Be more respectful about social activities, gather with your family on holiday, and make you busy with your jobs.

Once we start to be addicted to something it's very hard to break that addiction on our own. It doesn't matter if it is smoking, gambling or alcohol. The process in the brain is the exact same. Our brain tricks is into believing that we need gambling in our life. Trying to be a responsible person is good in gambling, but if we notice that we can't be without gambling, then something needs to stop immediately. The first step would be to limited our time gambling, and the second step should be to talk with friends and family about it.
However changing habits is the main thing, you will continue to gamble because you are so used and comfortable with the activity that you forget about other activities. Changing your lifestyle is accompanied by a high will, so even if slowly but it will keep you away from the addiction you experience, consultation is necessary but when you are a person who maintains privacy it will be better to make yourself aware by changing your lifestyle to be more responsible.
When it comes to addiction then each person would really be having different takings about on how they do gonna handle up such addiction or situation.
Some would really be strong willed and some would really be just simply tolerate on whats up into their mind and make that situation or addiction even more worst.
Be responsible if you don't want to mess up your life because if we do think off that there are lots who do commit suicide because of being broke and lots of lives
had been wasted up or put up on a hard situation in terms of financial due to gambling and if you don't like for it to happen then think again on what
are the things you've been dealing with.

I agree gambling addiction is if we are not in control of ourselves, both emotions and minds. It is caused by spending too much time playing
gambling, the best way is to limit our gambling time. By doing so we can prevent addiction and can become responsible gamblers. Therefore,
increase the number of positive activities, even though we are still in a pandemic situation,  there are still many positive activities that we can do
at home. If we already have children, try to increase our playing time with our children. Try spending time exercising around the house or reading
a positive book. There are many positive things we can do to divert from playing gambling.

It is a matter of choice. If we let our emotions control us, addiction will come next to it. And this will be the beginning of the curse. We have to stop this before it getting worse coz that really hard to stop once we reach the level of addiction.
As responsible gambler, we can still define what is right and what is wrong. Many gamblers just forget about it as because they lose their mind already.
That's why they become addicted because they don't even know how to control themselves and that is the reality of the situation , sometimes we are blaming gamblers but we don't know what is their having inside.
it is easy for us to tell such because we are not them but putting our self inside them ? thats a really hard task mate.

Yes, the emotion to the beginners will be too high compare to the old gamblers. If those beginners do not realise what happens to them, I am afraid they will get dragged deeper into gambling and will not see the truth about the danger of gambling. We hope we do not have to be like them and we can reduce our activity in gambling to prevent the addiction.
In my experience the ones that get addicted to gambling are the thrill seekers and the ones that want to make profits because they are desperate, the rest that approach gambling for what it is which is a form of entertainment and that actually understand the probabilities of the game have a very low chance of becoming addicted to it and they have nothing to worry about, but even then it is a good idea to keep yourself alert and see if there are any signs that you are losing control of your gambling.

This is pretty much right. In other words people that are already poor get addicted to gambling very easily because they act in desperation, thinking that I am already broke what can I possible lose? And then they start to wager whatever they can get their hands on and this becomes a loop.

There are lots of similarities between gambling and drug addiction imo.

Important Note : If you're jobless don't get into gambling, I'm an example. I don't have a job, and that's the reason I wasn't able to keep me deviated from gambling. Hope this helps someone.

Thank You
This is a key information you shouldn't go into gambling if you are jobless because it would lead you into debts that would hurt you into borrowing money to gamble more with the believe of winning a game to offset your debts. Gamble with your personal income and have a budget for this so you don't end up looking frustrated when it doesn't work out the way you predicted it.

I don't think blackjack and poker can be comparable in this manner. If we are talking about real poker where you are playing against other players, it's not blackjack where you are playing against the house. The odds of winning blackjack are 42.22%, meaning you can win a lot, if you are lucky, but most likely you will lose in the long run. With poker it's different: no one can say beforehand(before the game is started) what are the odds of winning, but we know from numerous examples that some people do win more frequently than others.

With that being said, I wouldn't recommend perceiving poker as a money making activity. With a wrong approach,  you can still get addicted and lose a lot of money with it. Be a responsible gambler.
Blackjack and poker has one thing in common, you do not get an automated response to if you win or not. In the sense that when you play at slots or dice or whatever similar you just click a button and it tells you if you won or not, in blackjack there is a bit more skill and talent involved, you actually gamble and say if you want more cards or not, and you check dealers one card and try to make estimates etc etc.

It is definitely not exactly the same but if I wanted to compare dice vs blackjack vs poker I would put blackjack closer to poker then dice because of this reason. The differences between poker and blackjack is obvious and you talked about them but the differences between blackjack versus dice is even bigger. Which is why blackjack requires a bit more skill than other games.

Gambling could only give you two kinds of result a happiness because you win or a sadness because you lose and lost all what you have.
There is a third type of feeling, the type that your just indirect. No after what the outcome of your bet might have been, you just seize to worry over anything. Thats the feeling you get when you play with what your ready to loose or isn't significant to you. A feeling that is most common to gamblers that sees the win as a thing of luck, the prediction as aware test of how far they could go or how knowledgeable they are on the games they bet on and those that see gambling as just another fun thing to do and if lucky could make a few bucks out of it. Thats the third and most exciting feeling in gambling for me. It makes you not to be too ambitious of the game and you apparently expect nothing but can only hope.

There are more feelings you could play while playing gambling actually, and the worst of them all is feeling empty, even if you win or lose, you just feel that not contented feeling that wrap around your whole system, and it's pretty depressing. The other one is that unsolicited greed because of excitement, which ruin everything, profits became stones, and luck became curse, and you ended up having nothing because you lost all of it.
The biggest feelings can be sadness and regret if we lose the money, and the other feelings are happy because we feel that we are the luckiest person who can win the gambling games.
And if you can become a responsible gambler, you will not feel too sad or too happy because you know that gambling will give you two result, win or lose.
You will not act too much because you know the risk and the consequences of playing gambling.
You can manage your feelings and not thinking much about them.
