In their view, they are all perfect with respect to their gambling and other disciplines while gambling.So, when you're assuming something is already going perfect then you will never think about making it into in a right way. This leads to being irresponsible while gambling. The excitement of gambling is that kind of dangerous one which will make you move forward at the same time it will get you losing over initial plans. My heart beats high, my pressure keeps rising, my mind is restless, my body is shivering. It all means I've lost big. My girl is in deep sleep, once she gets awake I don't know what is gonna happen. I lost big of around $4500. Everyday morning she wakes and first see the wallet, if there is any change in the holdings due to market growth. Anyway, you are lucky you have a girlfriend, and you are super lucky that she can manage money well. Your only solution is to leave it to her, I mean money management. You shouldn't have access to the main balance. The max you can have is money for one day. Live like that around 6 months, or more, until you know that no one should try to make money through gambling, and you are not an exception.
After all even the decision of seeking for others' help is still on the gambler's hand and nobody else can make this decision for him. If the addicted person doesn't accept or ask for help, nothing can be done to overcome the issue, because he is actually reluctant in doing so intimately. Or in other words, he doesn't want to get ride of addiction at all, because he knows once he stops gambling definitely he won't feel that pleasure sensation anymore. So it's a really hard decision to make and one of the main reasons so many gamblers struggle in getting free from these chains, like you mentioned.

Exactly! It seems that many here fail to understand how hard and tricky the addiction can be. I think it would be fair to say, that all gamblers are addicted to some extent, but while some can control it, others can't.
The problem is that those who do not control think they do, until they fall very low. There is a fine line between one thing and another.
The normal thing is to control at the beginning, until the thing gets out of control, and when a person cannot control his addiction to gambling, the only solution is to quit completely for life. Not one more bet, in the same way the solution for an alcoholic is to quit drinking for life and not to drink one more beer, because one more drink will trigger the old self-destructive habit.

If this is something that just happened then my recommendation is that if your girlfriend or wife forgives you that you give her complete control over the finances of the family and go as far as maybe even canceling the Internet connection in your home, this may seem harsh but you are in an incredibly difficult position and something drastic needs to be done if you want to get out of this situation.
