It's fine to leave it open for a few days, just as it gives other users a chance to congratulate them on their achievement. But the longer it takes, of course there will be more and more unimportant replies that can even become spam.

There is no compulsion, it's like your own awareness to keep running the merit system. But of course it's good if you want to contribute to other users, especially at quality posts like on your local board and on other boards.

Threads like this one always serves as a source of inspiration for others members in the forum that are looking forward to excel in such way, i personally would love to achieve such feat if not even more than what you have achieved. I honestly believe a good poster will always be recognized in this forum as his hardwork and resilience to growth will always point him out different to other obscure lazy members in the forum. Nothing comes easy in life as you really need to work for it. Congratulations Op on your great achievement as you have truly earned it but its seem to me that your achievements have further double as your profile is currently showing legendary rank achievement so i think it only proper the thread is lock up or updated Just as other members have duely stated.

You have enough merits but lack activity which can be earned only by patience so let's say at least a year from now to reach about 900+ to 1000 activities which are normally when someone will become legendary and it's completely random so if you are lucky it may happen as early as possible.

OP ignored my post which kind of makes me feel embarrassed and is proving that my reply is not really worth this discussion.

This implies that not all Legendaries are well-rounded members and can understand everything without asking. There are even many Legendaries here who are spammers, without much knowledge and living in the dark among other low ranking spammers. I don't deny it, it exists and will continue to exist.

About your new rank, it is fun. I even wonder when I'll become Legendary - I think months from now or maybe when ATH just hits. LOL

Yes it is. I will have to be more attentive to the posts of other participants and repay the same that others have done for me. All the same, merit should circulate among users, as it was intended.


The idol sounds too loud and pretentious. I'm not suitable for this role.
I see it like this: If you are desperate to get a promotion, then get together and look around. Others could do it, so you can too. If you want. If you want to put in the effort.


It's nice to hear these words and that you still remember these moments. It seemed that this was important only for me, and few people around me would notice these events in my forum life. Sometimes it's nice to be wrong.

Let the title of this topic remain unchanged, unlike us. For us always need to strive for new heights and it gets better so that KingsDen has a reason to write charming and cute posts.

Official names and titles, in my opinion, are not as significant as what we ourselves are. The inner state is more important than the rank. Frankly, I still don't feel like a Legendary, because I don't have sufficient knowledge to consider myself as such. I am not ashamed to say that I will ask questions that would not expect from a high rank. So, your wish for new heights is very appropriate in my case.

It is 1yr and 15 days you made the thread and the merits,you had then was little compared to the numbers that have added to it since then till date. This means that you are improving yourself and contributing in the forum for other members to learn from you.

You are already in the highest rank and it shows that your dreams came true. It is everybody's dream as a forum member from hero rank down to newbie rank to be legendaries some day,but some of them end up not achieving this goal because of difficulties of getting merits on the forum. Forgetting that patience and hard work is the key.  Congrats mate.

Something is difficult when we think it is difficult, including how we rank in forum. I'm not at all worried about how forum contributor can get assurance that they'll get to the highest level without realizing it, that's what most people want, but only in the minority here.

You've had a great trip and today you've had a lot of fun, congrats on your rank up to Legendary.

I am happy every day spent on the forum, and not just on the day of reaching the rank, if you can call it that, and I simply have to share it with the forum members. For you are the main accomplices.

Actually, as I said, I was in no hurry and I'm not going to do it. I will continue to move at my own pace and if I ever save 3k merit, then so be it. Probably in 100 years.

Congratulations OP for achieving what you have dreamed off and this is another example for nothing can stop when you keep working on your goals.

But myself never gave much attention to the merits column, I am happy with the financial knowledge I am getting from bitcointalk and it helped me a lot personally to break and live a good life but topics like these kinds of triggers me to get more merits and now am asking myself what am I doing wrong?

Your dream exceeds expectations, this is a very beautiful moment for you. No one thought you could get to the Legendary Rank this fast, the time you need is too fast which may be difficult for other people to achieve.
Glad to see your success reaching Legendary even though your goal was a Hero Member at first. Congratulations to you for this success, your story has inspired other members that there is no obstacle for anyone to go to the highest rank as long as they want to try.

Seems not the first time with higher level achievement account less contributing with smerits system, I got another user account last several days have been the higher level in Bitcointalk forum as Legendary but looking on smerit transaction sending under 20. Need spent with smerit having for the other user have good contribution in Bitcointalk forum by looking them grow up to higher level.

Some user are happy when looking the other reach to higher account level by sending feedback or smerit contributing, we can't stand by our self and help the other user will not make your account level downgrade. I think many user got many merit points sending after how active his contributing helped the other user.

You've proven that the merit system won't make it difficult for anyone to move up in the rankings when the quality of posts and contributions are the benchmark. You are not the first to reach this stage and you are not the last to feel it, I mean there are a lot of people lining up to reach this milestone and they are on their way.

I'm just advice that you also help other users as others help you about merit. Your merit stats say you have 100+ sMerits still buried in your profile, so it would be great if you could spend them on other users to keep this system going. It doesn't matter how high your priority posts are, but keeping the system running is good.

It never does lol. There are still legendary members requesting for the creation of a new rank that’s higher than Legendary.

Congratulations m2017, you are not only a legendary member now but also an idol and motivation for other lower ranked  members. I know its a bit tough after the merit system launch, but if one can do it, everyone with good dedication can as well.

Since this thread was created which indicates you have been promoted to rank Sr. Members, it's like you're on a toll road with no obstacles at all to get a higher rank. In a very short time 4 February 2022 while you are still at rank Sr. Members, now you have won the highest rank on the forum February 20, 2023.

MS and the generous people in the forum have played an important role in your success to reach Legendary rank. Of course this is very fun, especially for those of you who have just succeeded in realizing the dream of becoming a Legendary.

I have also reached the hero member since the airdrop merit of 250 and now my goal is still long for the next rank but with many reaching these members it is a motivation for many people including myself to continue to provide meaningful posts here I will not give up at any time because in here provide more extensive knowledge about the world of bitcoin and other types.
