Bellacoin is only worth so little so it's very difficult to earn playing chess. What will happen with it ? One exchange has no movement the other very little with people not wanting to pay much and people wanting to sell high so ota stagnant. Also this coin is not related to chesscoin is it ?

Your opinion is more than welcome Smiley.
I didn't know that c-cex has a scammy reputation, can you please tell me why that is? By the way which are the scammy-reputed exchanges and which are the well-reputed?
So "reward upon voting" is not good because people who are not interested in Bela will jsut vote to get some Belas and then dump them? Or are there other reasons?
Can you please tell me what other scammy proposals you are referring to? I genuinely want to know.

I don't want to be rude or offensive, but honestly there are two ways to build a coin.

You can build the coin and then when you have a good coin you can then build other things around it, get exchanges, etc. Or you can get exchanges etc then once you have the coin all built up with stuff like that you can do the actual coin.

Right now Bellacoin is not a finished coin.

There has been no work on the wallet in quite some time. In fact no sign of anybody willing to work on the wallet. There is talk of making a chess program in the coin. Right now there is a chess app indirectly attached to the coin, but it is not a sustainable long term project, it's just somebody paying people to use the app.

So really what sense does it make to have signature campaigns, bribe people to vote on exchanges etc? What coin is there? Somebody wants to pump the price up briefly so they can unload? Better to have a coin first then etc.

As for CCEX my impression has been they are a scammy exchange and I think some others have that impression. They may have a history of accepting overt scams, of listing coins that were blatant scams, in exchange for a higher listing fee. That is my impression, others can argue, it's only my impression.

Reward upon voting means usually they are people you are paying to vote. Why are they voting? Because they support the coin and think it has good prospects? Or because they are being paid to vote?? Maybe because they are being paid? I don't know?

This is my two cents worth opinion about Ccex voting system, there are pro and cons to this system yes you can pay people to vote and they could dump their rewards but not all voters are doing this CCex just want to know if there are community around a particular coin and the voting system is one way to know,Cex is a good exchange with 42 active traders and they are actively trading coins that have been proven by it's community..

I see that voting on c-cex is stuck at 5, maybe offering a reward upon voting will encourage people to vote. This has been done for ChessCoin and it has 37 votes up until now (https://c-cex.com/?id=vote&coin=chess).

Just an opinion.

Exchanges like CCEX, which have a scammy reputation, are not really great for a coin. It does let a person say "Hey, this coin is on another exchange", but if a person looks behind the curtain what they see is not so good. Instead of putting effort into getting a mediocre coin listed on poor exchanges, better to improve the coin so it can be listed on more credible exchanges. Also "reward upon voting", please no. I have owned Bellacoin for a while, not a lot but a bit, and am almost thinking of walking away from all the scammy proposals etc. Either make a decent coin or don't, but enough of the bullshit.

Just an opinion.

With a lot of coins it seems like some powerful miners will hit it hard then the difficulty is high and you have to wait sometimes many hours for the next block.

Prohashing is a pretty reliable node or whatever that will add connections fast https://prohashing.com/explorer/Bellacoin/ Addnode    98.115.147.74:10554 they list 15 connections right now.

As for chesscoin, chess game etc, some opinions, sorry to repeat.

Bella as a chess coin is a strong idea. A well made chess coin would quickly become popular, but "well made" is the key.

1) The process has to be sustainable.
It doesn't make sense to have somebody paying coins out of pocket unless the purpose is a short term pump only. For a long term coin the paying of coins must be incorporated into the algorithm.

2) It has to be decentralized.
AndroidCrypto has taken the first big step in making a chess coin but the coin must not be dependant on a person or group. It should depend on the algorithm only. Outside apps, like AndroidCrypto's should simply be interfaces for a wallet, blockchain, algorithm etc that are designed for chess players. Ideally the wallet would have a very basic minimally functional chess game and third parties like AndroidCrypto would only be providing a nicer interface.

3) The big stumbling block with a chess coin, and with many similar coins, will be the problem of bots playing and taking coins without any human participation. Some solution has to be found beyond providing capchas for each move.

4) A secondary issue with coins like this is the leveling effect cryptos will have on fiat economies. As long as there are people in poor countries that are happy to spend hours playing a game for usd 0.3 an hour and then sell the coins immediately to buy rice, it will be difficult to have a financial incentive for people in more developed economies. For that reason the emphasis has to initially be on the coin as a marker or token rather than as a way to offer prizes to chess players.

A good chess coin, as Bella might become, has huge potential to develop a pretty genuine economy around it, as opposed to the mountains of coins trying to build phony stores or merchant services to run currency around in circles and only give the superficial appearance of real world use. There are a lot of big hurdles to make a good chess coin. I have some Bella and hope it becomes a chess coin that is well made. My opinion is that the first step is to find a developer to make an algorithm or coin minting process that is through playing chess, similar to playing solitaire racer with neucoin or playing huntercoin. Both those projects are struggling with some of the issues mentioned previously.

All this needs to be discussed, join Chess 2.0

My wallet is 20 hours behind, but i have 5 connections. Any stuck at chain? Other suggestions?

Have you added the nodes listed on chesscoin thread if you have added you just need to wait for your wallet to sync it took me 10 hours before I sync my wallet and that was last week, your 5 connections is better only had 3 connections but still managed to sync..

Thanks for helping. I added more nodes and have now 6 connections, but still stucking at block 491217.

If you see that others are "stuck" at that same block then maybe it isn't really "stuck"? https://prohashing.com/explorer/Bellacoin/

Yes have seen this at afternoon. Hope someone is working on it.
