this coin is already in development before all the hype began.
its good that this one is concentrating on making a good product than just marketing things with a ico.

just take a look by yourself. the website www.shiftnrg.org is running on the dapp phantom without any browser extentions. this dapp makes it possible to host websites on decentralized nodes with ipfs and the blockchain itself runs on dpos. days ago the new website has been released with some updates for phantom that is running on testnet. the team has written in the roadmap that they want to release the full version of phantom with all the addons like jenga (a dns browser for searching phantom websites), hydra cms (a decentralized file hoster) and a own shift webbrowser (!!) in quartal 1 and quartal 2 this year.

when you look at the marketcap and compare it with substratum it is still very low. there are many coins with great marketing and icos who collects money for the beginning. shift hasnt got any marketing yet and even if shift sets the milestone for decentralized internet it is still under the radar with 10 dollars each coin.
with the low supply of only 11m coins it is possible to reach more than 100 dollars and because of the first stepper of this innovation it could even have the chance to be a top 50 coin.

Qtum has still no product but ETH has a good chance to become No.1 this year. Forget the Ripple, people will realise its centralised nature.

the best investment in the long run will be eth. neo and qtum are beautiful projects. Eth could be the captain of this ship in 2018.

If you want to invest your money the safest way is bitcoin because it is more safe than altcoins.
