My suggestion is wanchain, it has a huge potential and i really dont understand why people said bitcoin. Lets think about price, bitcoin price app 6500 usd, when the bitcoin shined last year it increased 20000 usd, it means just 3x. If 3x will enough for you in crypto world, you should be insane. On the other hand if we check wanchain, its price app 1 usd and i will say one more time it has a great future. It can be 1000 usd end of the next year, this is quite optimistic idea but if we will enter the bull market, this idea can be real. Then what is the meaning of it? Answer is 1000x 😁

I normally do not agree with such statements that all the coins have potential to earn profit. I do believe it in the traditional market that way where almost all the assets have the ability of giving back the money as profit. Having said that, it is only advised to invest in the potential coins and even when the prices are down, Bitcoin and ETH are still the potential coins in the market with great technological setup. 
based on cryptocurrency history since 2009 bitcoin deserves to be a long-term investment or HODL, but some altcoins such as ethereum are also feasible only not recommended for the long term and if you have already profited from holding an altcoin then selling is as fast as possible, because volatility in altcoins is very different compared to bitcoin. I am trying to search another potential coin beside of bitcoin and ethereum and I considering to the old coins like monero and litecoin. but I still trying to figure out the new coins and I think there are too many coins that can I choose for a long-term investing. I still give my hope to ada, trx, neo, eos, but I still want to find another coin to invest and I think I can find one or two or more coins to buy later.
I think NEO is pretty cool for long term investment. I bought the coin couple of weeks ago and it has been thriving very well. You might want to consider LYM or POLY

I chose a safe point to believe in Tether, maybe this coin is the best for now because it tends to be stable in price fluctuations, but I also still see the best momentum to then buy the two coins you mentioned, at least I still believe in the level of price increases and took off a lot of stigma from various rumors which resulted in a lot of negative speculation.
